Visited the place only because of Your Name. Took photos and ordered snacks. The aesthetics are pretty good. When we came in though, they were pretty occupied and the space between the tables was definitely a bit tight. Don’t know about the second floor though. The Slava Ukraine was good only because of the 200-yen donation to Ukraine. Well, it tasted pretty good actually, but I had that expectation vs reality moment because the flame was lookin’ high and nice on the photo. Chicken wings were very plain it’s not even worth to take a photo, and the taste was plain, too. Anchovy fries were pretty good. Don’t mind it if it’s a bit on the pricey side as long as you feel your money’s worth. Well this is not it for me. Also, after some time, there were many vacant tables already and while I’m not sure if there’s a time limit on your dining stay or it’s a cultural thing here in Japan, it comes down to feeling like we were chased out of the cafe because we were already done eating. Should we have eaten slower? Ordered more so we can stay longer? In any case, it didn’t feel nice. All in all my experience was tantamount to saying this place is a little overrated. It just got hyped because of the movie but other than the nice aesthetics, given the dining experience which is what a dining place should be about, I would give this a pass. Sorry.

You may recognize this restaurant from the anime, “Your Name”. This is the place where Taki worked part time as a waiter. The restaurant itself is a chain, and this one is very good. The food is wonderful, and very inexpensive. Our whole meal was about $12 per person (salad, non-alcoholic drink, main pasta course, and dessert). This food was very tasty and was a good portion. You need to come here is you are a fan of the “Your Name” anime. In fact, I suspect many of the other diners were there for the same reason. Actually, you should come here for the food itself as well.

The food quality is good. The building is pretty inside. The service is decent. I can only give this restaurant three stars because I am European and this restaurant represented everything I love and hate about European food. European food is way overpriced. It is so overpriced that in Europe it is impossible to eat out everyday like it is possible here in Japan or in Asia. In Japan you can get an amazing lunch for around 500-1000 yen. European food is generally “fancy” with a nice atmosphere. I think for local Japanese people that don’t get to travel much, this is a cool experience but you will pay for it. But for foreigners living or visiting Japan there is absolutely no need to visit this place. You will be disappointed because it isn’t anything special just your normal overpriced food. The lunch menu is very awkward too.

Ordered the lunch menu for 2. The total was 7,500 yen. The food was pretty good and varied. It consisted of a drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic), salad (a light portion), pasta (5 - 6 choices, good portion), steak (kinda light portion) or fish, dessert. They have a message that people under 20 years old are not admitted after 18:00. The service was good.

A restaurant with a nice location and good ambiance, though the music was a little loud. They had option to swap in gluten-free pasta for all of their pasta dishes for an extra 200円. I ordered the tomato & mozzarella pasta with gluten-free noodles, and the grilled fruit sangria. The waitress didn’t really seem to understand what a gluten was, but when I rephrased it as I couldn’t eat wheat or barley, she understood. The pasta was really good, maybe the best gluten-free pasta noodles I’ve had in Tokyo. The texture is really close to regular spaghetti. The sauce kind of tasted like if a margherita pizza was a pasta. Service was a little slow. No one came to give me the bill so I went to the cash register to pay and was told to go back to my table and wait until someone came to give me my bill. There is a basic dress code, basically no athleisure, and they don’t let people under 20 in after 6:00 pm. If you’re in a group bigger than 2, I would recommend making a reservation online before you show up. I was seated very quickly as an individual but almost all of the group tables were reserved.

Date of Visit: May 3rd 2023, first day of Golden Week. Actually I was here many years ago when the anime came out and had fond memory of it. And I went to the Ginza location and had a very positive experience and since I live rather close by to this branch now I decided to re-visit. First the drink, the Lemon Sour from the Ginza location was delicious, so I was gonna reorder it here. Big mistake, it came in a champagne glass (it was a full whisky glass from Ginza location), tastes terribly imbalanced, too much syrup. The steak was 5 piece in Ginza and three small piece here. Pasta was undercooked and the emulsion of the Shrimp pasta was underdone, lukewarm and couldn’t even melt the mascarpone properly when served (it was good in Ginza). The bolognese was also undercooked (Al Dente and it literally tasted like biting into a tooth). Bread was chewy, wrong flour? Multiple times the wait staff have put down dishes we did not order, and had to ask if we had ordered them. And plop down the check and then asked us to pay before the dessert had even arrived. Absolutely horrendous service. “Apple pie” turns out to be a non-crunchy Apple fritter. Cheesecake is about 50% size of the Ginza one. Also, all lunch options are about 500 JPY more than the Ginza location. Seems disingenuous simply because of the anime they feel it’s okay to charge more for less. As Bubble once said “Sometimes, things that are expensive, are worse.” Conclusion: go to the Ginza branch unless you really want to see the interior of the anime (which you can check out by just entering the entrance).

Good food, a bit on a pricey side. Place itself is very spacious with a two storey high ceiling and huge windows facing Shinjuku Gyoen with lots of natural light. Big contrast with typically small restaurants in Tokyo.

The food is nice and the service is really good. The employees are super nice. Also the place is beautiful ❤️ I do recommend to make reservations because it can sometimes be crowded and will take a while to get a seat.

Food is pub style European. Interior decor is quite nice. However staff aren’t really onto it. We came in the evening for dinner I probably wouldn’t come back. The only reason is they are still serving alcohol during the state of emergency. There are plenty of better food and service options around this area so I would give this a miss in the future. Check the photo of the beer. If you want 50% foam. Come here.

Hello, I brought my empty stomach here on a Wednesday evening for dinner. Lemon sour was like lemonade and house red was okay. Charcuterie and a lamb sausage for starters was very good, and so was the seasonal porcini pasta. Gnocchi was nice. Unfortunately, they left out the order for the pizza and it took a life sentence to come. There were two birthday celebrations in the restaurant, for the lights were dimmed and celebratory music were played as they brought out cake and candles. They played doraemon theme song for one of them so I give an extra star. After several million years, the pizza finally came, but it was disappointing because the crust was undercooked and mushy. Also, I was sat right under a heater and it cooked the top of my head. The bill for two came out at ¥8000 or so, but finally leaving felt good too. I suppose I should have cancelled the order when I found out they had forgotten it, but then again it gave me a lot of time to contemplate my life and what I’m doing with it. It was more of a spiritual journey than a culinary experience.

Nice high ceiling and it makes the place look bigger. Food is good though a bit limited in choices. They have good luck sets so a bit budget-friendly. Overall ambience is good but can be noisy when it's a full house so choose or reserve a time away from lunch.

Famous cafe from the anime ‘your name / Kimi no Na wa’. Its a busy cafe with nice atmosphere and food. Service is a bit relaxed nothing bad but if ur are in a hurry then not the best place.

Cool vibe and nice location. Really enjoyed our lunch here. The pasta was pretty standard but the service and atmosphere made our visit. Also they had home made ginger ale that was delicious. Window facing tables have a nice green view of the nearby park. Highly recommend.

Went there for lunch and dinner. The location is great! It is next to Shinjuku Gyoen. Good spot for meeting up before or after the long walk in the park. The food is alright. The blue yellow cocktail for supporting Ukraine was surprisingly good

Beautiful interior and setting next to Gyoen. Mediocre food, bland tasting. Doesn't understand European cuisine, don't even use pepper or salt in cooking. Music is AWFUL, blasting teenage Yolo music, the whole time... Ruins the entire atmosphere. No, this is not a sophisticated restaurant where you can expect a chill atmosphere, you will be feeling like you're hanging out at a teen club with a tasteless pop party music.

The food was tasty and I liked the high ceilings and spacious dining area. They were serving alcohol which is a rare treat these days, the mojito was refreshing.

I only ever write reviews if I’ve had a good time somewhere, but after this experience this will be my first bad one. Awful queueing system, the restaurant was 30% full and they were making people without reservations stand outside in the rain. When we came inside to ask if we need a reservation to eat tonight (after waiting outside in the rain for 30 minutes) we were told to stand back outside. Two couples queuing actually gave up. If there were another gluten free restaurant around we would have gone there instead. We ended up leaving too, an hour after waiting outside. Absolutely awful experience.

This is one of the best italian restaurant chain in japan, I am visiting this place since last 15 years but first time I am really disappointed with the food and service. The attitude of staff is not good and they are serving like they are superior then the guests. The pizza base is like a rubber and very difficult to chue. I have planned to order atleast 3 to 4 different pizzas but it was very difficult for me to even finish the first one. So I went to pizza salvatore after that to satisfy my hunger for good pizza.
