With only 3 rooms per floor and 21 rooms total, this place is more of a personalize hotel than ryokan. We enjoyed great service from the attentive staff. The room was spacious and we really enjoyed the private onsen as well as our in-room outdoor cypress onsen bath. The food was well prepared with great local varieties. The location is a bit out of town but we prefer the quiet tranquility.

First of all, we had a lot of fun, thanks to the friendly staff, the rooms are very spacious, the bathroom, the toilet, the balcony is very clean. I recommend it to stay here.

Awesome place with attentive staffs! 10/10! Ryokan provides shuttle service. Just call them when you arrive at Gero station. Private bath is outdoor and the ryokan will provide transportation. Absolutely worth it.

The view was nice, the food was great, but I have to say the service standards were not that satisfying… During our stay in late December (which was freezing!), at night suddenly there’s no hot water at all in the bathroom. We called the front desk and was told it’s being fixed. Water came back in 30 min or so, but no one followed up that night or explained in the next morning - it’s not a big issue but I’d expect more from a hotel of this price point. I could feel it’s shorthanded though. Hope it’d get better.

Booked a room with a private onsen overlooking Gero. Enjoying the beautiful view while 'chilling' in the onsen was such a wonderful experience. The public bath is also really good, but it is not available in the morning. Once you checked-in, you wouldn't want to leave. Every guest has a private dining room and the service took me by surprise (in a good way). The food was also exceptional. I strongly recommend it.
