This facility exhibits the history of Miboro Dam and photos and history of Shokawa cherry blossoms. Although this facility is free, it is well-organized and has many exhibits. This dam seems to have an unusual structure, and you can also learn about dams. There is also a large photo exhibition of Shokawa cherry blossoms, which is quite fulfilling. The stay time seems to be about 30 minutes, but if you want to walk around the area and see things, it might take a little longer. The scenery is beautiful. There was no one in charge (other than at the entrance) inside the facility, so it felt a little lonely. There is a parking lot and there is a guide sign, so be careful not to miss it after passing through the tunnel. You can also get a dam card from the person in charge at the entrance. Too bad it was cloudy😞

2023/11/3 🍁Autumn trip to Miboro, Meiho, and Kashimo🍁 Of course, there were issues related to the dam construction work, but there were also hardships and reconciliations between the villagers and the power developer before construction began.

A dam filled with stones? Why isn't the water leaking? saw it for the first time. The facility is free and there are various explanations on display.

(Translated by Google) As of August 20, 2021, only the photo exhibition of Shogawazakura at the Shogawazakura Memorial Hall can be visited. The Mimagi Denryokukan is closed to prevent the spread of the new corona infection. You can see the Miboro Dam from the unique building. You can get a dam card at the reception. I didn't know there was such a wonderful facility...(>_<) Admission is free, It's educational, beautiful, and worth seeing! There are parks and facilities that offer a view of Japan's first large-scale rockfill dam: the Miboro Electric Power Museum, the Shogawa Sakura Memorial Museum, and the 30th Anniversary Park. The ``Shokawa Cherry Blossoms'', which were transplanted from submerged areas during construction, are also introduced through videos and photos. There is also a rest room on the second floor!

(Translated by Google) Coming from the Shokawa side, there is an entrance in the middle of the downhill, left curve. If you speed too much, you will pass by, so be careful (*^^*) I think it's a good place to stop by and take a break and take a look (*^^*) You can get it at the dumb card reception!

If you have a chance to drive rout 156 instead of highway express, you might drop in this facility in front of the Miboro dam of the road side. Miboro dam is very huge and the type of it is rare. You can understand how and why it was build. You can feel the scale of the dam in front of it.

Interesting place with exhibits that explain the building of the Miboro dam. There were also beautiful photos of the cherry tress that we saw at Shogawazakura Park

Dam museum owned by J-Power. I'm very happy that it's free. The exhibits are a little old. It's a little far from the dam, so if you want to take pictures of the dam itself, it's better to go to the parking lot a little further on. You can get the dam card here ✨

There is Lake Miboroko, which is an amazing scenery. You can enter the Electric Power Museum for free and watch a movie about the history of the dam. To watch this movie, just press the start button and don't worry about the start time. The story of transplanting the ``Shokawa Cherry Blossoms'' that sank into the dam was very moving.

(Translated by Google) A facility where you can learn not only the civil engineering knowledge of dams, but also how to balance the landowners who have lived there and the public interest of providing electricity for 5 million people. The content of the theater (17 minutes) was good. “The Seiyuu Alliance Death Protection Group is absolutely opposed to the Miboro Dam” '', ``power development,'' dam construction work, and the transplanting of two cherry trees that later became known as Shokawa cherry blossoms, using many photos and videos from the time. The scenery of the dam lake and the way you see the Shokawa cherry blossoms have also changed a little.
