久々に感動を覚えるお店でした。
特別な近江牛をどうしても食べたかったので、ランチに昼夜共通のコース(？)を注文しました。
事前リサーチで、薬膳が全面に出ていたらちょっと苦手かも～と構えていましたが、そんなことはなく、バランスが良く美味しくいただけました。
その日は二日酔いだった為、最初のドリンクは柚子のソーダをいただきました。
よくありそうなシンプルな物を想像しましたが、思わず｢なにこれ美味しい～～｣と口走りました。
柑橘特有の引っ掛かりや雑味の様なものが全くなくものすごくまろやかで優しい甘み、イソマルオリゴ糖で漬け込んでいるそうです。
期待の膨らむスタートとなりました。
さらにスペシャリテのスープの滋味深さにより元気が出てしまい(笑)、結局その後最後までワインのペアリングをお願いしました。
ほとんどがあまり見かけない個性的なワインを出して下さり、新鮮でした。
お料理全てのお皿に、アーティスティックな演出でシェフのこだわりが散りばめられていましました。
完璧だったのですが、事前リサーチで懸念していた事のうち一点だけ…
せっかくの特別な近江牛をスモークしてしまうのは勿体ないのでは？と感じていましたが、やはりそうでした。
じっくりと噛み締めて、スモークの香りの奥にあるお肉本来の旨みを感じ取ろうとしました。
確かに美味しかったのですが、もう少しだけシンプルになさってもいいのかなという感想です。
予約時に、カウンターが楽しそうだと思いましたが、イギリス在住の友人が小庭を見たいだろうと思いテーブル席にして正解でした。
とってもゆっくりと、楽しくも静かな時間を満喫できました。
帰り際にタクシーを呼んで頂くと、預けていた荷物が既に積み込まれていて最後まで心配りを感じました。
サービス料を支払うに相応しい素敵なお店でした。
是非ともまた訪れたいですし、スペイン料理の方へも行ってみたいです。
今後知人にも薦めようと思います。
