A trail thru the tropical surrounding of Mahe and a view point for visitors. If you want to trek the trail, come early as it is the coolest time of the day. Enjoy.
What a hike ….. and what a breathtaking view of Mahé at the end! All worth it. Trail is very very hard just to be clear. Elevation is one thing but the stepping stones are very big and wide that it is hard to get up. Even getting down required big steps and all hikers need to be careful while doing that. Despite no rain, it was still slippery for that action. So come prepared with hiking shoes, water, healthy snacks and bug spray. Enjoy the wilderness and you might be lucky to see baby hedgehog or a mouse and some big spiders.
Nice climb up the mountains to an amazing view. Path is well carved and marked with painted dashes. Difficulty is easy to medium, you’ll stay fully erect on your feet for most of it. There’s a small ladder for the steepest part. With stops to take pictures on the way you can expect about 1.5 hours each way, including the chillout session at the top. Views are great. Bring some sunblock and shades for maximum enjoyment at the top. Highly recommended.
Great view and great tracking in the jungle/ botanic garden. Bring a lot of water you will be sweating
Was great hike, about 2 hours. Amazing view at the end We walked half the time in the rain and was very reasonable
A beautiful hike, not difficult, but hot! Spectacular views and lots of interesting flora!! Bring water and comfortable shoes (sneakers or hiking shoes). Keep an eye out for the interesting carnivorous pitcher flowers on the peak!
Really nice hike throughout the jungle. It was cloudy at the top so we didn’t see any views but it was still worth going. We saw a snake on the way up. You pay entry 100 rupees per person, there is a toilet at the beginning of the trail. It is possible to park a car just few meters from where the trail begins.
It was a great experience going for this solo adventure trip. I had to register and pay 100 rupees by card (only card accepted) at the ticket counter. Car can be parked around the place in the road. please take few water bottles and gear up with sweat free tshirt, shots with towel. No shops around, so pls carry water bottle and snacks. I wore a light weight sports shoe which was good enough for the journey. The trails are well marked and also got few milestones. The jungle was vibrant green and almost calm and only could hear the birds at some places. It was little harder and bit steep at the end and almost a small steel ladder to climb the top of the mountain. The view point is a reward of the beautiful landscape of Island and pristine beach. I met few families with Kids and school students who made it to the top.
Excellent moderate trail around 2 km within Morne Seychellois nature reserve park. Quite steep mainly uphill. Takes around an hour and 15 mins round trip. Views are stunning and worth the hike from the top. Small steel ladder to climb the last bit. Quite safe but wear good non slip shoes. Not recommended if it has been raining as it would be very slippery unless you are seasoned hikers.
A beautiful hike with rewarding views, and a worthwhile visit when in town. Admission fee is a little steep, and cash-only, so be prepared. Also, bus service is available but not frequent. Proper planning will be necessary. We hiked in the early afternoon and made it back to down for happy hour. That's a nice plan
Copolia Trail is a very good trail in Seychelles. The trail takes you through a dense forest where sunlight cannot even enter. The trail is pretty much easy for people with basic fitness. The views are amazing at the top. One can even find pitcher plants at the top. Don't forget to carry insects with you which the pitcher plants will eat. Carry one litre of water for every person, some snacks, sunglasses, hat and sports shoes.
An amazing trek leading to the top of a mountain with breathtaking views over the island. The variety of plants and animals along the way – for those who pay attention – is truly stunning. You can park your car by the roadside near a small building where tickets are sold.
The trail is quite tiring, especially on sunny, hot days. I recommend taking plenty of water and comfortable shoes. The view at the top rewards the hardships of the hike. The view is phenomenal.
We hiked the Copolia Trail on Mahé – about 2.8 km round-trip, taking 30–45 minutes each way. The small entrance fee is reasonable. The trail is steep through jungle and leads to a granite plateau with stunning views over northern Mahé, including Victoria, the mountains, Eden Island, and the airport. Wear proper shoes – sneakers or hiking shoes. Flip-flops are not suitable. Bring water, though it can be bought at the trailhead, which also has a toilet. A beautiful hike and an absolute highlight – 5/5 stars, highly recommended for anyone fit enough to enjoy the views.
Nice trail through the jungle with breathtaking views at the end. Gets quite steep in some sections, you'll be sweating a lot. Bring good shoes, enough water and a fresh t-shirt to change into after the trail. Not for people that are out of shape. About 90min there and back plus some time at the top.
Great trail. Local guides signs along the way are interesting. Quite a steep climb towards the end but a fabulous view from the top.
the trail is of medium difficulty. I recommend special hiking sneakers and the most important thing is to have at least one bottle of water. on the route you can see birds, lizards, snakes (harmless). the view from the top is gorgeous. you can see the whole city of Victoria, Eden Island, the airport and other small distant islands.
The trail is so easy to follow, easy level if you're fit and have no injuries. Should take you 2.5 hours max. Fully covered with trees until you reach the top. Unfortunately I could not see the Victoria and the Island because of weather conditions and drizzles but nevertheless it was quite an enjoyable trail... I went on my own and felt completely safe. Look out for the pitcher plant when you get to the top...
Amazing views and thrilling climb, buy or bring water. (you also need to pay for the tickets here using card) NOT FOR BEGINNERS. (especially if raining)
I underestimated this hike/climb a bit. If you are in shape, you should be fine. If not (like me): prepare for a lot of stops on your way 🙂 the nature is beautiful and the view once you reach the top is really nice. Bring enough water and some healthy snacks. And maybe a little towel to wipe your head :)
Steep trail with sets of stairs and a ladder in the end. Given the heat, advisable to undertake the trip in the morning or the late afternoon. Great views of both sides of the Mahé Island. Trekking shoes with ankle support recommended. Enjoy the stunning beauty of the rain forest.
