Awesome hike with breathtaking views at the end!!! There are quite some rocky and muddy steps to climb thru, however nothing really hard, just don't hurry and enjoy the nature around. The nature around is very colorful! The hike is a good idea to distract from the ocean for a while and enjoy nature. Parking is possible by the road sides at the entry point. Definitely worth visiting!
You can easily park close to the beginning of this trail. It is not easy, but in a soft tempo you will reach the top. The nature is wonderful! It is for free. Recommend 👍
The trail is short, but the slope at times very steep. It is not for beginners or those with a lack of fitness. The route leads through a forest - very interesting for nature lovers, especially botanists. Views from the platform at the end of the path absolutely magnificent! There are several illegal viewpoints near the end of the path. Using them is risky!
Wanted to get a solid hike in while in the Seychelles, overall I would describe it as "not worth it for the effort". The hike described online was moderate but at the trail itself had a sign that it was hard. You are pretty much going uphill the entire trail, the rocks you need to climb over get larger and larger to the point where I was frequently on all fours. My wife and I are pretty fit, but this was surely challenging because of the steep steps. The view at the top is nice, but not worth the effort it took. We were also stuck up there in the rain, but I'm trying to factor that out of my review. Took us 1 hour 45 minutes to go up and down with a decent stop at the top. There is street parking on the road.
Very nice trail in the deep forest with awesome views. The trail almost goes up the hill all the time. Bring good shows with you, no flip-flops!
Morne Blanc Trail is a must-do in Mahé! The hike goes through lush forest with a steep climb – about 1 hour up and 40 minutes down – but it’s absolutely worth the effort. The panoramic view from the top is breathtaking and unforgettable. 🌿🏞️
This is short but amazing hike with good elevation gain. Its hardly 2km long in total but will get a good feel of hike. Breathtaking views from the summit
Morne Blanc is one of the hardest trails I’ve done in Seychelles. The path is steep and challenging, so be ready for a tough climb. But the lush green forest along the way is beautiful and peaceful. You’ll enjoy amazing views during the hike — they really make the effort worth it. I enjoyed every minute of the trail. However, I was a bit disappointed with the space at the top. I expected a wide open area like Copolia, but it’s quite small and cramped. The biggest problem is transportation. It’s very hard to find a bus or taxi to return to the capital after the hike. The best option is to go with your own vehicle or arrange transport in advance.
It was a great experience going for this solo adventure trip. You will find place to can park the car on the road. Please take few water bottles and advised to gear up with sweat free tshirt, shots with towel. No shops around, so pls carry water bottle and snacks. I wore a light weight sports shoe which was good enough for the journey. The trails are marked but quite a dense forest with steep climb. Pls be careful with the route and take needful rest depending on your stamina and capacity. I was almost alone and only met 3 others at the view point. It was a reward of the beautiful landscape of Island and pristine beach. I was doing a back to back trekking on the same day( the Copali trail and Morne Blanc) so next day was quite stressful and painful legs.
Moderate to difficult trail depending on your experience. Don’t try it without the appropriate shoes and don’t forget to take some water with you. Around 40 mins to make it to the view point. Totally worth it!!
Amazing experience! Highly recommended to visit. Please note that Seychelles are covered with clouds and fog,so you have to wait for sometime for the view to clear up! It was very beautiful to see it by our own eyes and activity was great!
Very beautiful hike through the jungle with breathtaking viewpoint at the end. Bring water, fresh t-shirt and appropriate shoes, beach flip-flops definitely not recommended. About 90min there and back, pretty steep on some sections. It's a shame that you have to backtrack the same way, would be even better if there was another path back. Parking on the main road, not the best, but manageable. No entry fee.
At the end of the trail, you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful view of the southwest coast of Mahé Island. The trailhead is accessible via bus number 14 from the Victoria bus terminal
Nice hike through beautiful forest. Easy to find. Be prepared for uphill and uneven ground. Don’t miss out on the view towards the mountains to the right a bit before the official viewpoint. Had some nice animal encounters as well.
Beautiful walk, it s pretty steep, so you will be sweating from the 1st meter till the top. ca. 30 one way. the panorama is just beautiful. there was no cabin to buy your ticket, but you can purchase it online. parking is on the side of the street, or at the tea factory (ca. 150m from the starting point)
Amazing hike with rewarding views at the top! It’s somewhat difficult with steep slopes at many points but relatively short - around 1hr30 in total. Good shoes are a must as it gets quite slippery. Definitely worth it!
The Morne Blanc Trail was definitely more challenging than we had anticipated! There is no parking nearby, so you have to park your car down the road and walk up to the path. The path is steep, and there’s not much to hold onto, so be prepared for a good workout. But once we reached the top, the view was absolutely breathtaking—truly worth every step. If you’re up for a tougher hike with a rewarding view, Morne Blanc is a must-do!
No fee, free street parking. Mostly shady jungle trail. Well marked steep incline. Took us about 50min up and 30min down. Bring extra water. The clouds parted and we got a nice view at the top.
Actually a nice hike, we had bad luck since it was somewhat cloudy, so that there was no view at all. Moreover, if it is rainy, proper shoes are quite useful, since the path was sometimes a bit slippery.
Morne Blanc Trail: Did it around noon in light drizzle. The trail is short but tough after ~200m (rocky uphill). At the top I only saw clouds, but on clear days the view is amazing. Transport: Took the bus via Victoria (SCR 10 each way). On return, no bus for an hour, so hitchhiked and paid SCR 100 back to Beau Vallon. Buses are cheap but infrequent, so plan extra time. Guide or No Guide? Honestly, no need for a guide. Trails are well-marked, entrance fees are now on a single online platform. Today I saw guides just walking ahead silently, not engaging with clients, not even clicking photos. Unless you want a naturalist to explain plants/animals, self-hiking is better. ✅ Tip: Carry water, good shoes is a must , and patience with buses.
