My family visit the place for lunch and it was a good experience. We ate at Terraza for Filipino cuisine. We waited for 15 minutes to prepare our food. The food taste good but still there is a lot of room for improvement. Some house flies was there when we were eating. The service crew are very friendly.

Beautiful resort well organized with plenty of amenities all in one place. The actual location isn’t great, there aren’t many things to do outside the complex, but that won’t be a problem since there’s so much to do in here. From what renting bicycles, water sports, dining, massages and tours. Rooms are a bit dated but everything works as it should and it’s clean. The prices can be very competitive, but not for dining, you may end up spending a fortune for the same you can get outside the complex for a fraction of the price. Massages are great and staff is helpful. Pools while two simple circles, are clean and well situated with plenty of sun. The view of the lake is great. Overall you can spend a nice few days with the whole family and not miss the outside world.

‘‘Twas a good stay, nice facilities and friendly staff. It’s just the late check in issue. We’ve checked in 5pm instead of 3pm. Maybe because it’s a weekend. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

The whole room smells fishy when we arrived. Some of the "white" linens were already stained. There were a lot of flies squirming around the room. No TV reception. And when we get to the lobby, some of the staff were laughing so loudly behind the reception (which sounded like they were belittling our issue) while their colleague was trying to negotiate with us. Definitely never coming back and will never recommend the place. It's a BIG NAY for me.

PRICY, MISLEADING, & DATED With its price, even for an Agoda deal, and how it's advertised you'd think that it would be a great place for a staycation (whether in rain or shine). But honestly, I had way better experiences on smaller scale resorts with a lower price (even w/o discounts). PROS + Spacious room. Room had enough space for everyone to have their own personal space. + Approachable staff. You can request to them and they won't give you an attitude + Rustic aesthetic. If that's your thing, then this place would be great for your Instagram feed. + Elevator CONS - Room Cleanliness. The room felt like it wasn't thoroughly cleaned. There was sand everywhere on the floor (upon entry). There was no mat to dry feet, even in the bathroom. There were no hand sanitizers to clean hands and dishwashing soap to clean glasses and cups. The "mineral water" jugs they provided tasted like it had rust in it. The curtain was smelly. - Room Amenities. WiFi passwords were provided but the signal barely reached the room. Only Type A sockets were available, adapters were only provided upon (1) request and (2) availability [in my case, they were unavailable]. Room had a TV but the display was partially static. Only one key card was provided (needed to keep electricity in the room running), which made it tricky to plan adventures when you're not with the whole group. There was also no peephole so you can't see who is outside. - The Room Package. The room we availed was advertised in Agoda to have a complimentary breakfast. However, upon consulting the front desk during our stay, they told us that we weren't eligible for it. - Overall Potential for Activities. With the map they display on their website and the one they give you upon check-in you'd think that there's a lot to explore but it's more magnified than you think.

We have our time share in Club Balai Isabel, bought in 2017 and until now, we can't use it. We tried booking via multiple channels, name it, but until now, no one would get back to us to confirm or even point us to the right person to assist us. I tried the online booking but it requires a log-in credential, which obviously I don't have since no one's answering me. I remember when we were still completing our payment, every month, someone would call to remind me of my upcoming bill. Then when we completed our payment, I'm now the one running after them. Since 2018, no one's responding to my emails, viber messages, sms, and messenger messages. This is so disappointing.

Everything is about the pool and the very green and well maintained big garden around. The huge pool has an incredible view of the Taal volcano, it’s really worth it.

The location is very good and you have free access to walk alongside the lakeside. However, the rooms seem very outdated and in need of a deep clean especially the bathroom. Ants are still a problem inside the room. The amenities outside the room are nice and the food is good at the restaurants.

Convenient place for team outings. Service needs work. The staff work in silos. The facilities also need upgrading due to wear and tear. Food is average. Its good that there are several pools and parking areas, a field and other facilities.

Was in the area to scout for possible resort stays. Didn't get a chance to get inside as it requires prior arrangement. The facade looks upscale and inviting to guests. Will return with an appointment soon!

Cons: Checked in on time but the other room was not yet ready. Though the staff were friendly, customer service was horrible. Food was too overpriced for its quality and selections. Pros: Accomodation was good at best. Enjoyed the view of the lake. The pool was great specially for kids. Overall: Meh! Memorable for the wrong reasons. Will not come again.

If you need something scenic hidden below the usual crowded tagaytay area try this place it's just a few kilometers down the slope. It may not be breezy but you get plenty of sunlight and sea breeze even thou it's a saltwater lake. Not to mention you get a closer glimpse of taal itself. Good service for the pricey accomodations but you are well taken care of with no regrets. It's a nice spot for a family or reunion get always. They also offer retreat for those big groups with lots of rooms to choose from. Swimming to water sports and cycling around the area. They also have ample parking space and a small church inside. Thier food is also a must try thou it's a bit pricey :)

Nice view, relaxing place. Perfect for family getaway. Though breakfast have limited option and they did not refill all food item. I suggest u go as early as possible if u want to have proper breakfast. Need to bring your own teaspoon if u want to enjoy a cup of coffee in your room. U can hear noises from next door. Rooms are not soundproofed. Recommended restaurant to try is Hapag ng karpintero. Very delicious food especially pancit and very friendly staff.

Its a simple location in a simple town. The 2nd floor aircon of the room assigned to us is not working so we have to clean its dirty filter. Soaps, coffee and brush that are usually refilled by other resorts are not refilled in Club Balai Isabel. We have to go to the reception and ask for it. Food are expensive and its not worth it so I suggest going out to eat if you are on a tight budget. Pool is ok. Nothing special about it. We just enjoy the view of Taal instead. Oh, don’t order the tower, its more ice, more juice and no liquor.

Functional and fairly decent rooms, but needs more maintenance particularly the bathrooms. Large and spacious outdoors where families can stroll, play, and have picnics. You can bring your own bike or ball to play basketball or soccer. Small soccer area for friends and families to play. Good for a weekend get away with fairly simple amenities for families to enjoy. Great for families with small kids. There are bigger houses or villas I assume can be rented for a more private vacation away from the crowd.

Worst experience...i booked one (1) room for four people, 2 adults and 2 children. when we arrived at the front desk said we were only book for a maximum of 2 people , but i was showing the front desk lady the booking we made and that we are booked for four and not 2. but the front desk seems uninterested at what im showing her, instead she was charging us an extra 1,200 for each children because she said the room is only for 2 people, even though i clearly booked for four. when my husband said we just needed refund the front desk said "just pay for one (1) person instead of 2"...because i dont want to ruin our vacation, i agreed to pay. As soon as we entered our room, i smelled really strong remnance of tobacco scent inside. i called the front desk again and asked if its a non smoking room and she said it is a non smoking room. but the place reeked with old tobacco scent . I asked if we could be transferred to a different room and the front desk said, she will check, but did not came back to me after. I did not followed up anymore because i feel like nothing will happen. i just sprayed perfume all over to mask the smell. really frustrating... when we all took a dip in the pool and needed a shower after, i was looking for a hair dryer/blower and i cant find one anywhere. so i called the front desk again and requested it, thankfully it arrived after only a few minutes but the staff wont give it to us unless we provide him with one valid id. the staff was apologetic and he said he is only doing what he was told to do. I said this is odd because hair blower/dryer should come as a standard part of every hotel room. and now the hassle of checking out just to get our id from the front desk begins. it was absolutely uncomfortable journey i had with this resort. we were also not allowed to eat inside the room. we've travelled everywhere in the United States and Europe, but none of those four or five star hotels we've been to restrict guests from eating inside, only this resort. if i can give this resort a zero i really would...

The resort is massive with great location. the staff were so nice and there are 3 onsite restaurants. There are multiple pools which are huge. The rooms was not impressive, I'm afraid. It's old and outdated. The AC was leaking and there's no cable on the TV (it's not a Smart TV). There's also no complimentary breakfast. There's also no gym. For 5,000, it's a high price for rundown room and no breakfast included. The price on restaurants are ok though.

The place is nice with lots of activities for people of all ages. Very good for family outings. Our room is very spacious and clean, complete with utensils, fridge, stove, water kettle, etc. Basic toiletries are provided. The staff are nice and approachable. Will definitely go back here. Hopefully, during summer so we can get to enjoy all the activities this place has to offer.

The outdoor ambiance is superb with plenty of green spaces and activities such as swimming, biking, water activities, billiards, sports, or simply enjoying a great view. The place is very walkable and easy to navigate. However, in terms of room quality, it doesn't feel like a 3-star hotel. There's also no CCTV in the hallway, no sufficient street lighting, dimly lit alleys leading to our building, windows with loose screws, and the absence of a double lock on our door. Overall, the building felt unsecured. An unsettling incident occurred when someone attempted to open our door leading to paranoia. We initially considered leaving, thinking we were the only ones in the building and we read an incident of robbery from years ago, but thankfully more guests arrived after an hour. There's no landline to contact the front desk, no room service, and the rooms are not sound-proof. Building maintenance is also subpar. Our expectations may have been too high, resulting in disappointment due to the lack of security and poor building maintenance. We won't be going back here anytime soon that's for sure.

The place is good and the units are fine. However, there were things about our stay that really bummed me out and I feel like are terrible misses on the part of the hotel. 1/ No slippers provision in the rooms. For the price youre paying it’s such a small thing that should already come with the room 2/ Wi-Fi is spotty. Barely any data connection in the resort so youll be reliant on the WiFi which needs a lot of improvement 3/ Main adult pool was not operational when we visited. It was a weekend when we checked in so it’s weird that they couldnt have planned to get it ready in time for influx of guests 4/ Unresponsive front desk. Hard to get a hold of them over the phone 5/ Poor coordination of front desk with other services. I made a 9pm massage appointment but when I arrived at the spa no one was there.. when the receptionist arrived she was surprised to see me and asked if I had an appointment. Seems they are not well coordinated.

Pool is salt filtered. The grounds are clean with fairly maintained landscaping, nice place to roam around with rented bikes. 2 Dining choices to chose from that are not as expensive. Rooms are spacious but dusty under the bed. Bed and sheets are comfortable.

Location is beside a gasoline station, 711 and lots of food place. Service is great. The reception noticed that we have an infant with us, so she recommended that we upgrade to a different room as we booked a room on a higher floor without elevator. There are lot of instagrammable spots. Great view of sunrise and sunset and not crowded. Make sure to use mosquito spray or lotion, there's a lot of mosquito in the area. Also, the floor leaves dirt mark on foot. Maybe they sweep the floors but don't mop it. Overall, it was a nice experience for the family and we would like to return again.

Great place to stay as a family. Rooms are spacious, and the view on the lake is awesome. I wish the waterpark had more activities than just the inflatables itself. And sadly, you cant cook inside.

Stayed here with my cousins in the summer of 2014. The place was nice but there wasn't a lot to do. Not sure if that has changed. Wouldn't mind going back.

Pros: - Maximizes nature, blends with the overall mood of the resort - Proximity of the pool and cafe to the rooms Cons: - Old rooms that badly need updating - Low water pressure for the shower - Leaking toilets - Front desk lacks credibility and empathy - High room rates. Poor value for money. - Restaurants close at 8pm during weekdays. Overall, the resort exploits nature to attract customers. The exclusive “feel” is just in the beginning. After experiencing the staff and the amenities, you’ll realize that the long travel to get to the hotel is a waste of time. Poor value for money. It pretends to be a resort but in reality, it’s just a village club house. Update: - Their restaurant Terraza served great tasting food with a great view of the lake but the experience is ruined by so many house flies. - Poor security protocol. A drunk guest mistook our room to his room where he was also drinking. We were told that we should wait for another incident before the hotel can take action. No star if there is an option. Still checked-in unfortunately.

A rustic and beautiful, well organized resort, many lush trees and relaxing greenery around and well maintained facilities and object-d'art and decors abound. Refreshing salt treated pool (skin-safe and environment friendly) and close up view of Taal and its majestic lake is amazing. Staff are accommodating and reception process are easy and seamless (advance reservation is required), then the beautiful reception staff hand you a colored resort map for your use and an easy electric golf cart ride to your villa awaits What a nice touch!. The place is teeming with people on team building and this place full of activities, including a water park and open team building spaces and a event place just for it! As a retired hospitality professional, I am reccommenting this place if you are in Batangas (Talisay) area or if you're in now over populated and tired Tagaytay, come down here (yup, a picturesque winding road come down, well, almost directly towards here) and enjoy a true experience with nature. 5☆ all the way!

It's a club that only allows members to enter, but if you want to eat at their restaurant, it is still possible, but you have to show your ID to their guard at the entrance. We haven't tried their foods because we arrived at the place 30 minutes before their breakfast buffet time schedule ended. Their breakfast buffet is until 9 a.m. only, and the lunch buffet starts at 11 a.m. They didn't serve a la carte.

  • 3/5 Rafael M. 9 months ago on Google
A beautiful and very close of view of taal. Their warm salted pool (but not too salty) is one of the best pool I experienced. However, the service is below par compared to others as it was too slow, they don't provide the complete amenities in your first visit to the front desk that you need to go nack and forth. The staffs avoid guests and was not courteous. Anyway, the food was good compared to 3 star hotel food, highly recommend to try their breakfast. Overall experience was average but could have been better considering the price of the stay.

When it rained hard water was dripping right on top of the oven. Faucets are loose from the sink basins. Main door too heavy to open. It seems Sampaguita Villa needs some serious maintenance attention. Setting all those aside, we had a very enjoyable stay. Thanks Club Balai!

  • 4/5 Ysabel C. 9 months ago on Google
It's a 14 hectare area so it's huge. They have lots of activities available but you also have to pay for most of them like the water park inflatable, basketball court, etc. I guess it makes sense that it's so cheap for the rooms itself. The staff was very nice especially since we had a big event. Especially their facilitators which I think was outsourced to world of adventure or something. They were so good at keeping the energy up. The property also has access to the lake but I don't know the process and limitations of bringing a boat or jetski there. Rooms are quite old so don't expect much.

Nothjng to complain about amazing place, just choose the room based on your preference the one with lake views are great but not all rooms have lake view. Good place to spend few days or weeks. Specially for peoole who like quiet and peace this is a great option.

  • 4/5 BonG T. 11 months ago on Google
Pros 1) three swimming pools - one big and two small. The big one is much crowded because it is near the main office. The tourist needs only to walk a few meters to a less crowded smaller swimming pool. 2) there are a lot of spots there where a tourist can take a pictures specially near taal lake 3) a nearby church is just a walking distance from its main office 4) a good free WiFi connection Cons 1) one door for shower in the comfort room cannot be closed 2) some tourist were not warned for wearing a shoes before going to swimming pool ( I am referring to a smaller one swimming pool)

Great lounging area with pool and view of taal volcano. Rooms however need attending. Ants everywhere. Leaky toilet. Everything else was fine

  • 3/5 Sinag T. 8 months ago on Google
Overall, this place is good for a quick getaway from the metro. The resort facilities, service and offered activities are what is expected. It is however a tad more expensive than similar or even better resorts around Metro Manila. A highlight is its 2 swimming pools which are well maintained. The "beach" side however is cluttered with eyesores: loose equipment, supplies, beached boats and other riff raff. It would have been good to walk along the shoreline without these. Also, Taal Lake, which is this resort's main attraction, is far from ideal.

  • 5/5 Lesters G. 1 year ago on Google
I enjoyed my visit here. The filipino dishes were amazing and it really helps me to take a deep breath and relax since the view is very good. I recommend this place for recreational activities, stress reliever and a place to stay for travellers.

  • 5/5 Rolf G. 4 months ago on Google
It was not a great experience. The location is nice, near the lake, but the shoreline is not maintained, so actually, you can not use the lake. The swimming pools are nice but the big one could have some kids stuff like a waterslide which would make it ideal. The concrete steps are worn out,so it makes it feel like stepping on needles when entering the pool. In short, a makeover should be done. About the rooms: outdated and not maintained. The family room was spacious enough but not clean, bathroom stains everywhere, and insects (ants and cockroache). The whole domain could be a superb getaway, especially since it is a 1.5hr drive from Manila without traffic inconvenience, but it makes it as a onetime experience and a not-coming back place. With a better management overview, it could be such a great place.

We just randomly drived and decided to visit Club Balai Isabel for sunset viewing. Then we tried their Filipino restaurant and we’re surprised by the generous servings. Friendly and helpful staff. Good view!

The room is tidy, though the decor feels dated and could benefit from modernization. The Wi-Fi connectivity is slow and could be faster. However, the ambiance is peaceful and offers a relaxing experience.

Lost my phone here before, I left it a bathroom. Half an hour has passed when I noticed but we were already in SLEX at the time, so our trip organizer contacted Balai Isabel to check the bathroom because the phone was still ringing at the time. And then a few minutes later, the phone wasn’t ringing anymore and they said there’s no phone found in the CR. They said they’d check the list and found but no more updates received afterwards. So 1 star for the bad experience.

I was awakened by the praying of the rosary at 5am and the bell tolling at 6am. I cerstainly like: the Mediterrenean style units with 2-rooms, 2 CR, split A/C, kitchenette, 2-door ref - IT'S SPACIOUS! The pool was drained due to health security. A Chapel, well paved road, well manicured garden, lots of trees, daily garden maintenace by the resort staff and the 2 staffs assigned to our area were all nice! The morning roster crowing, bird chirping and the fresh morning air breeze. But above the rest, it's just a stone throw away from Taal lake! It's certain - im in the Philippines! MARAMING SALAMAT BALAI ISABEL you have exceeded my expectations! Keep it up Resort Management.

The best, if not only 4 star hotel in the area, that has water access. It has the capacity to host very large functions such as conferences, weddings, and enough rooms to probably acommodate several hundred people.

THE BEST! Specially the Agoncillo Building because you can have the full view of the Taal Lake and Taal Volcano Island. Good service and Good Rooms. I'm at Agoncillo Room 304 that time. The winds also is kinda strong on my room. I love it. There's also Cable TV where I can watch Animé all day via Animax. I promise you will never regret it! I will be back here I swear. And on this room again. ☺️😍

West side of the resort is very suitable for business meetings. Very iconic buildings. The landscaping sets an example of how resorts should look and overall was 10/10. Very romantic spot if you’re just looking for a daytrip, maybe splash around the pool a bit. There is also a church that can gold weddings and reception. Food served is the typical buffet style, with incorporations of the local Batangas cuisine.

Just a few hours away from Manila, about an hour or two by car or bus, you will discover Club Balai Isabel in the quiet and small town of Talisay, Batangas. It was named after the only daughter of the owner, Isabel. Balai Isabel resort complex boasts of a residential area, a restored church, pools, hotel, aqua park, basketball court, obstacle courses, gardens, spa, and so much more. The lakefront suites offer a stunning view of Taal Lake and Taal volcano with their balconies and verandas. If you’re craving for some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you’ll love it here! We went here with our ESL company. We were more than 400 people but the place was very spacious and able to hold all of us. I really recommend visiting this place.

Pool was okay(4.5/5).. Even though there were plenty of visitors, the pool wasn't overcrowded and dirty. I wish there was a private pool tho.. Other amenities (4/5) seemed to be fine and they even have electric cars (5/5) to fetch you from recep to rooms.. Reception is okay too very accommodating but they act kinda late when it comes to room service calls... Rooms were good for sleeping (4/5) and comfort rooms were functional and clean, ours didn't have a heater tho lol (3/5). I didn't like the kitchen area t'was kinda poor. (2/5) Ours had one but the appliances were nowhere to be found except for the water heater for coffee etc.. Utensils plates etc were all budgeted idk too few?? There was no tissue in the kitchen.. 😬 Foot rags were also lacking... Overall I'm giving this resort a 3.5 out of 5.

Highly recommended place to stay especially for big groups. We had our team building here last July 30, 2022 and it was a great experience. The staff were very accommodating and responds quickly to requests. The rooms are clean and spacious. Thank you Club Balai Isabel! :)

Invited by a condominium owner to visit and use the pool. Large salt water pool with large float and shallow area for small children. Depth in the large section of the pool is 5 feet. Good restaurant off the pool area. Grilled salmon was prepared well with pesto potatoes and salad. Nice presentation.

This is a rather late review but nevertheless. Would like to share my experience here .., Such a nice experience staying here at Balai Isabel… Great place to relax and just staying at the pool overlooking the lake is in itself a reward.. Our room is also nice which made us feel we are home.. We are supposed to swim at the lake but the we opted for photo session instead as the water is too warm. Looking back, a few months after our stay, Taal erupted… had chills thinking about it but we’ll, we are blessed to see natural beauty during our stay and thank God it happened before the eruption.. can’t say the same to the staff and the people around but I’m glad seeing some advertisements that they are back to normal after a while.

The staff was so accommodating. Our room was super clean, comfy and easily accessible. Toiletries sps. the soap and the shampoo was so mabango that you can even request for extras so you can use it at home ❤️😁 we were expecting that the inflatable was setup at the Lake but yeah, overall, satisfied and will go back for sure. 🙂

The whole resort is massive, there's a church, events and function halls, swimming pools, an inflatable slide at the sea, spectacular view of Taal, big rooms. Good to walk around as well because the place is surrounded by trees so it's cool and relaxing.

Had a good time here. Went for a weekend stay with family. The kids had a great time in the swimming pool and enjoyed biking around the property. Bikes need to be rented though.

Stayed here 2/3 weeks ago for 3 Days and 2 Nights. Had fun and all. Bathrooms were a little bit dirty? When we were going to sleep we heard a lot - 21 savage (joke) of footsteps. Great view, The biggest pool was crowded. (Ofcourse we didn’t go there lol) It’s really big, The e-cars helped my legs‼️ The price is really nice Kinda worth it if you want a good view and stuff. Me and my family had fun. I rate it 3/5 because ye have fun to those people going in this hotel. <3

Great view over the Taal sea to the volcano. Too many people for breakfast at one little service corner. Little chaotic. Rooms are OK, but one should be able to raise the quality.

Right next to the lake. Varying types of accommodations make it ideal for couples, families and large groups. We had our Team Building / Outing here and I can say that most of us were very satisfied with the venue, including the facilities and food. The crew who served us during our stay were very courteous, attentive which helped making our corporate event a successful one

👍👍 This place is absolutely fantastic.. need to bring your own coffee but can buy the sachet tow doors up on the beach. Can smoke on the verandah. Found a great friendly cat. If you meet her be kind.. rooms are comfortable. You are right on the beach.

😐 One of the older resorts in Santa Fe located on the beach near to the pier in Santa Fe. Really needs redecorating and some upgrades but is clean and tidy and reasonable for the price
