Tonight
when
I
went
to
order
a
drink
at
the
bar
(August
1,
2023),
the
bartender
took
my
ID
to
the
manager
to
work
together
to
ensure
it
was
real.
I
understand
that
it
is
standard
practice
to
use
all
precautionary
measures
to
ensure
that
legal
sales
of
alcohol
are
made,
including
bending
the
ID
slightly
to
look
for
a
film.
However,
when
I
was
given
my
ID
back,
I
noticed
a
full
length
crack
down
the
middle
of
the
ID
and
a
bend
at
a
noticeable
angle.
While
I
waited
for
my
drink
to
be
made,
I
watched
both
the
bartender
and
the
manager
(Burroughs)
severely
bending
my
ID
in
their
hand
before
giving
it
back
to
me.
When
I
approached
the
manager
asking
for
an
explanation
for
why
my
ID
was
broken,
the
manager
argued
with
me
saying
he
did
not
break
my
ID,
it
was
just
bent.
It
doesn’t
matter
what
terminology
is
used,
my
ID
was
returned
to
me
broken
when
it
did
not
look
that
way
originally.
I
asked
for
some
kind
of
compensation
for
the
fact
that
I
will
need
to
replace
my
ID
to
prevent
it
from
cracking
in
half,
and
the
manager
told
me
it
was
not
Madison
Social’s
responsibility
to
keep
IDs
in
good
condition.
It
was
obvious
as
well
that
the
manager
was
not
sober,
and
had
been
drinking
with
the
patrons
he
was
seen
talking
with
for
most
of
the
evening
while
I
was
here.
I
will
not
be
returning.
Incredibly
disrespectful
and
rude.
