😠 Counting the days until I move out... only a few more! This place has lots of problems. At least for me, the management has been respectful and supportive; but there isn't much they can do about a horrible property. Counting the days until I move out... only a few more! This place has lots of problems. At least for me, the management has been respectful and supportive; but there isn't much they can do about a horrible property. The grounds are nice and they've done a lot of work on them; however, the units are unlivable. There is a serious water and plumbing problem in this complex. The water is frequently shut down complex wide for repairs. Usually for only a part of the day; but it is frequent. The plumbing doesn't work well at all, I've had neighbors toilets back up and seep into my apartment and my toilets clog regularly as well. Everyone has ants, it is just accepted at this point. My ants aren't as bad as others; but there is a bathroom that I have to clear them out of each time before I can use it. For me it is the noise. It is unbearable and that is what is driving me out of here as fast as I can. The walls and floors are so very thin, I can hear a baby crying two units over. I can hear detailed conversations above me, next door, and even from outside. The neighbors above sound like they are stomping and moving furniture almost 24/7; but I really think they are just living normally and the floors are that thin. Sometimes the popcorn ceiling dust falls from though! Add to that, my unit is in a building that backs up to Kohls and at all hours of the night there will be trucks making deliveries - beeping as they back up or honking the horn endlessly to get the attention of the loading dock. I know these things because I don't sleep anymore and I have all night to Google "why do trucks blow their horns so much when unloading". So exhausted and just ready be out of here... almost there!

There’s a complete lack of sidewalks next to any space where vehicles move and this makes it really dangerous to navigate if you have children, pets, strollers or I would imagine being in a wheel chair would be near impossible. Plus there are stairs everywhere and no ramps with many different levels. If you rely on wheels to navigate it’s not accessible. It’s a nice apartment but don’t live here if you work from home and need any sort of quiet or peace to do it. There is lawn maintenance noise constantly. For hours and hours a day. I’ve watched the lawn care team use leaf blowers to try over and over to move just a few leaves at a time instead of just picking them up or using a broom (which would be much more efficient and not burn gasoline) It’s to the point it’s driving me crazy. Constant motors, constant noise. Feels like everyday. Everyone in the office seems nice enough but they usually seem really annoyed no matter what you’re contacting them about like it’s a burden. Maybe the management company should pay them more, increase staff or listen to their needs so they like their jobs because it definitely translates to the quality of life of those living here. They deserve to be happy at their jobs, it seems like a constant between most but not all of the employees: and they all seem like nice people independently - so I can only imagine something we can’t see makes the work environment intolerable. In my experience it’s hard to get repairs and updates when things need to be replaced or fixed and sometimes I’m just told no. Communication between the office and maintenance team seems to be an issue and there’s a lot of being on call for entire days waiting for people to come complete tasks - sometimes they won’t come - and other times I’ve had people come at times that weren’t agreed on and let them selves into my home while myself and children were asleep and not expecting it. There’s a general air of apathy and inconvenience and it seems like many steps and levels of needing to communicate through different departments so you can never really hold it against any individual for not being informed or communicating because that’s not their department, type of vibe. It’s alot of frustration for the amount of money you pay to live here. The head manager is awesome and has really gone above and beyond in one situation where I had a plumbing emergency. I really appreciated that especially in contrast to the rest of the experience. The maintenance team is especially friendly and I want to emphasize they all seem like great people but that challenges in getting things done and communication confusion is also a consistent thing. Getting a response from security is also hit or miss 50/50.

I have lived here for about a year and while the apartments are decent, the staff in the front office are SO RUDE! They are blatantly rude anytime I have a concern or try to show them an issue in the apartment. I will say the property manager is very kind, but to have those people in the front office be the first people you greet, the are unreasonably rude and should not work in any form of customer service EVER. Also, the water shuts off once a week, so that is extremely frustrating as well.

These people are completely unprofessional. I had to call them to see if my application was approved. Come to find out they never even ran it. Once they did, the guy told me I was approved for a 1 bedroom because my income was $100 under the requirement for a 2 bedroom. I let him know that I had other forms of income that I could add to it and he said ok. Two minutes later he had some girl call and she told me I could not add my other incomes then tells me the application was not approved. When I tried to ask her why I could not add my other incomes she got an attitude. That right there and the tons of bad reviews here was enough for me to not even be interested anymore. I could only imagine how they treat the tenants.

Me and my husband have been here almost 5 years unfortunately. And it's has been terrible. The hot tub has never worked since we moved in. The water is off at least 1-2 times a week. And now our last month is here finally! and our Air-condition unit quit. So they put us one small window unit in the window. Mind you with this small ac unit they put in the window it does not cool the entire apartment, it’s staying between 82-85 inside the apartment still with this small ac unit running. And they told us they wouldn't put a second one in due to management. (We have the 2 bed 2bath) Can we say cheap much... and there not sure when the actual ac unit will be replaced. This is ridiculous since rent is well over a thousand a month here. Not the most friendliest place either. Some of the staff in office is friendly. I Definitely do not recommend moving to these apartments.

Nasty , old apartment complex . BROKEN SIDEWALKS , steep staircases to second floor , dated old discolored popcorn ceiling , 20 year old air conditioners and rude staff … musty smelling , outdated appliances and floors , water out all the time with no warning , huge holes in the parking lot that will break your tires … people fly through the parking lot , save your money go somewhere else !!!!

Edit October 19, 2023: They told us they would shut the water off today so they could do repairs and then the water stayed on. Now we get a text that it's going to but shut off tomorrow. It's been really hard to plan when I can work out because I think the water is going to be shut off. This is so ridiculous. Edit: Water still being shut off once a week, often without notice. I hate it here. The water is shut off several times a month. No one takes responsibility for it. The front office blames the city, but they could at least text us when the city arrives so we can prepare (fill up bath tub to make toilets flushable, fill up water filter for drinking, etc). They could even ask the city to wait just five minutes to turn off the water so we can prepare, but they can't find it in their hearts to make that happen for us.

I've lived at Blairstone for over 6 years and have only recently read the reviews posted here. While it is true the water has had some issues and we do have water shut-offs (it is not nearly as often as some have said), the office staff lets us know in advance of these shut-off times, and they always occur during work hours when the majority of people are not home. It has never affected me. There have been a few office staff who were less than pleasant, but they don't work here for long. Currently, there are two incredibly polite and friendly office staff - J'Monte and Elizabeth - who are my all-time favorites over the past 6 years, as well as Nikki, the property manager. They all have responded quickly to any concern I've ever had. When they say they will call me back, they actually do. I couldn't ask for more. Maintenance responds quickly to any issue I have. The landscapers, Dynamic Lawn Care (DLC), do an amazing job. The property, while it is not brand new, looks great in no small part due to the landscapers. If I get rich, I'm hiring them! The swimming pools are always crystal clear, the fitness facility has enough equipment I don't need to pay for a gym membership, there's a dog park, tennis courts, basketball courts, a beach volleyball court, and the complex itself is a great place to walk around if you just like to walk. There's even a kids play area. Everything is kept clean and in good repair. My favorite part about living here is we are smack dab in the center of town, so close to everything, yet we are pretty much surrounded by trees. There is one way in and out, which means there is zero through traffic. People can complain about the price, but if they compare the prices here to comparable apartments around Tallahassee, they would realize these apartments are a pretty good deal. I wouldn't have stayed here as long as I have if they weren't.
