Absolute foodporn at it's best - cosy, really intimate , feels like you arrived at your best friends home ;) However the food itself doesn't let you get too casual - the complexity and attention to the details is so refined that you will feel like Alice in Wonderland. Delicious everything , just delicious! Not to mention that probably the best wine list with a best price point you could wish for . Highly recommended !

I am rather confused as to how to rate that restaurant. On one hand we were really looking forward to come here for a dinner, and have had certain expectations in beforehand. On the other hand we payed extra attention to the owners behavior. The food, we've taken 6 courses menu, was excellent! From appetizers to the last bite of dessert I have nothing but respect and gratitude. The wines served with it were as well very suitable and delicious. Service was ok, "08:15". I guess I am expecting too much, or maybe we are just too spoiled with service back in Switzerland. Nevertheless quality of food here was great, that is however if you don't mind the shallow attitude from restaurant owners served on a side.

Anno is a hidden pearl in a Tallinn city centre. Starting with the property itself, one couldn't be more surprised. It's located near harbour from one side and financial district in the other. The property itself, from Middle Ages, in that environment, looks like it's from another world, which makes it even more exotic! The restaurant has a really cozy and welcoming interior. Owners, married couple Anna and Erno. They have named the place "ANNO, Home restaurant & Wine Corner" but they just trick us. The truth is that it is a fine dining restaurant. Owners know their business; Anna as a chef and Erno as a sommelier, offer superb quality in both. We ordered the tasting menu as it gives the best overview of what is in the chef's mind. I have to admit, I was surprised by what we got. The approach was kind of different, and one could sense the feminine mind behind the "scene". The food was positively surprising - surprise is what I expect. Just good techniques are not enough, boring food is boring food! Well, I definitely recommend the place if you're into wine and good food, a bit different angle in tastes and service. Don't forget to book in advance!

Family owned restaurant close by Rottermanni kvartal. Fantastic service with great detail on wine selection. Food was, again, immaculate and beautiful with very special taste. Never have I ever tasted this good tartar. If you want to impess your better half with a special evening in Tallinn I strongly recommend Anno.

Exceptional. A little oasis in a not-very-promising area. It would be hard to find a better value tasting menu anywhere, let alone Tallinn or Estonia. We were very lucky to go in the holiday period as locals fill the restaurant most of the time. A slightly quirky yet charming outside led to a similarly decorated interior. The food was of the highest fine-dining quality and attention to detail in all areas was outstanding. A good choice of wines by the glass enhanced the meal.

Incredible small family home run restaurant which serves ridiculously good food. So much love and care is put into their intricate dishes. An absolute must go to! It is a small home run restaurant so highly recommend booking in advance - you will not be disappointed. Pretty decent wine selection to pair with he foods. Wild boar mains and pavlova dessert was to die for!

Fantastic food and wine. Worth a visit

Food was presented beautifully, although poor service made the experience not enjoyable. The staff does not have a good service standard - they seemed aggressive with instructions lacking proper etiquette. It felt like the guests are disturbing the owners and causing them inconvenience when they are trying to run their business. Unfortunately would not recommend.
