Spectacular restaurant, no other similarily elegant and posh venue in Tallinn. You travel back in time to late 1930tiea. If with a smaller party, try small lounges / thematic rooms. With larger party you have a fabulous hall lush with thick carpets, crystal and art deco furniture. Food is traditional and very classic French cuisine with some Nordic twist (a bit too traditional for my taste).

This restaurant is FANTASTIC! What an amazing little gem in the heart of the old town. I just stumbled upon this place, literally built into (& beneath) the city walls. Open for almost a hundred years, & now I know why! The food was delicious, very inexpensive for the quality/ flavor/ portions (I think their “lunch” special was only 19€ and served 2-6pm). But the most important piece of the puzzle here is the setting & the service. You really feel like you have stepped back in time, as you wander thru low stone walkways & eat at a candlelit antique table, right in front of a crackling wood fire in the hearth. Service was impeccable, exactly the right balance of attentive without being smothering, & perfect english was spoken. This is truly a beautiful space for a great meal (& the wine list is extensive). I can’t think of a better way to “chase off the chill” (I visited in winter) than eating here. GO! This spot is not to be missed.

Place with a great history. The food is well served and tasty but nothing overwhelming. Good choice of wines and decent service.

Perfect spot for wine lovers. By-the-glass wine selection is good and fairly priced given the quality. Staff person was knowledgeable about their selection and was comfortable speaking in English wine terminology. Perfect for sitting outside, even on a rainy day - there are a few tables placed in carve-outs in an ancient wall (there's a bit of car traffic on the street, but not too bad). They also serve food, although I didn't try it. Overall, definitely worth a stop!

Stopped here for desert coffee and some wine - sat outside on a sunny Estonian summers day and it was as divine! The deserts were wonderful flavours and presented with a real attention to detail - they looked great and tasted even better. The wine selection is very good

Fantastic service, excellent food. Wandered in without reservations on a Saturday evening and was seated no problem. Multiple options for different types of wine by the glass. Will definitely go back.

Seriously one of the best restaurants I have ever been. The starters are the most extraordinary things ever and the paring of it with their wine suggestions were amazing.

I been in Tallin Estonia multiple times during the past years and this is the first time in this restaurant... and I can say that this place by far exceed the expectation for a good lunch.. or dinner.... Great wine selection... Excellent chef and the waiters are lovely.... This place truly a hidden gem in the heart of old town.... Also.perfect for a romantic dinner 🤗 The best restaurant's in Tallin !!!!!

The perfect restaurant, not just for Tallinn, but for that cozy feeling one looks for in the quaint hide-away old world dining experience. Fabulous selection of wines from arond the world. We had a 1955 Crimean white port that matched the quality of our desserts. And that all followed a top quality & prepared beef tenderloin (paired with a 2011 Negro Amaro)..wow..., no, WOOOOWW... if I could go there every night, I WOULD.. (BTW - we ate their 3 nights in a row and would have done a 4th but they are closed on Sundays). This a 5 star restaurant with 3 star prices and 5 star food and service. Say hello to Marku, Eric, and Karolina when you go...

Had some expectations, didnt happen. Cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices and bits of yellow paprika? 2 small fries? Ordered medium steak but got a raw one. All fat unrendered. Sinewy. Hardly could eat half of that. I've had lot's of steaks in my life but this one was a terrible. I mean whole meal was not fine dining and worth 37€. Only stars come from really special setting and kind server. If you ask that kind of money for a steak in Tallinn, please make sure its edible.
