Exquisite museum that not only curates beautiful exhibitions, but also goes out of their way with set design and projections to create a unique experience. The feelings the Dior exhibition evoked can only be described as religious awe. A shrine to worship fashion. Spectacular!

The Museum of Modern Art, which holds a wonderful special exhibition every time. Designed by Takahiko Yanagisawa. The museum's huge exhibition space is a major selling point of the museum. This time, the Christian Dior exhibition was highly anticipated. I was very satisfied with the way the works were displayed, which went beyond my imagination. The videos and photographs are also excellent. It is very difficult to get a reservation because of the popularity of the museum, but if you go in the morning on the same day, you can get in right away.

(Translated by Google) I went to the Eiko Ishioka exhibition. The contents and method of the exhibition were the best. I bought a ticket from 1630 on the day, but 90 minutes is not enough. Not enough at all. I just want to hear the story of the person who is playing at the venue all the time, but I want to see everything, so I'm impatient. If you have 10 days left, it's a good idea to have an early time. You can watch it all day long. The boldness of the lines in the design drawing, the delicate coloration of the crayon colors, etc. Not qualified to talk about art! Even I am overwhelmed I really want everyone who doesn't usually go to museums to go. But if you go, you should go alone. No matter how beautifully it was printed, I felt that it wouldn't come true. If you buy a time reservation ticket in advance, even if it is crowded, it is better than the crowded way in front of Corona. Go lightly or go early to secure a locker (after buying the inventory). There were few lockers. There is a 100 yen return method and a money changer. * Addition: The word of mouth of other people said that there is a locker in B2, so please check who is going. Needless to say, photography is prohibited. Catalog, 3,500 yen. I bought it after all ... The shop and exhibition are open until 18:00, so those who bought late tickets should buy them first. So let's put it in the locker. I don't think I will regret buying it for the time being. I wish I could buy this digitally. heavy…. It's a short walk from Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station, so it may be hard on bad weather.

The eclectic, mind boggling, thought provoking and sensory fulfilling contemporary art museum, located in Kiba. Rotating exhibitions featuring Japanese modern artists. Currently (January 2024), the MOT Annual is on, showcasing a range of works on the intersection of humankind and technology, creating a sense of ambition but also grief and discomfort.

The architecture of this museum is so beautiful. It's very spacious and houses up to three special exhibitions in addition to permanent collection. Could take a couple hours. There's a cafe and a store selling expensive and stylish designer clothes and objects. The programming is very relevant.

This is an art museum dedicated to exhibiting contemporary art from Tokyo. If there's an exhibit you want to see, it's worth going. There are also cafes and parks where you can spend the day.

(Translated by Google) I went to the Eiko Ishioka exhibition. I went to Hideaki Anno's special effects exhibition a long time ago, but at that time it was crowded and I didn't remember much about the inside of the building, so I took a leisurely look around this time. There are many booths where large-scale exhibitions can be held, which is very impressive. There is a shop where you can buy exhibition-related goods. There is an art library in the basement, and reservations are required now. There is also a restaurant where you can relax. The park is adjacent to the outside, so even families can enjoy it. A contemporary art museum. It's about 10 - 15 min away by walk from stations near by, not really an easily accessible museum, however they host unique and exquisite exhibitions. Love their permanent collection of Tatsuo Miyajima's art work.

Very easy museum to navigate and is free of charge. You only need to purchase tickets for the special exhibitions they might have. The works were very cool and I really appreciated walking through the different exhibits and getting to experience the area.

Very nice museum, was surprisingly more crowded than we thought, especially at the Jean Prouve park exhibition, figured it was time limited so people came to see before it was replaced. We got the set ticket that included all the exhibitions and it was just 2,600 yen and you could see everything, quite beneficial! All the arts were special and contemporary, and the way they constructed the museum and the experience made it feel really nice and thrilling. Most of everything had japanese and english explanations.

If you’re confused about entrance for Designer of Dreams, read this. Online tickets are sold out so you have to get same day tickets. The entrance is on the west side of the building. It opens at 10 but the line starts forming much earlier. I arrived at 8:55(Wednesday) and got in line(the line is outdoors but under a canopy so you don’t have to worry about rain). I’d say I was about half way down the line. I was able to get a ticket for the 1:30 pm window. By the time I got inside and got a ticket it was almost 11. They have a cafe with decent food with a fair price and two other exhibits that are included in the 2000¥ price. If you go to the cafe to relax and do the other two exhibits slowly that’ll take about 90 minutes. The exhibits are all interesting. I do not care for fashion but I still enjoyed the Dior exhibit, although I made it through much quicker than others, about 30 minutes.

(Translated by Google) To be honest, the quality of the art institution has deteriorated considerably, and in my opinion, it is almost worthless (my acquaintance experts agree). From the time I started my solo exhibition of fashion models, I thought that I couldn't distinguish between "individual hobbies" and "academic research", and I thought that I had reached a level of art that couldn't be helped. I think that Gakugei-san here can no longer organize special exhibitions based on art history. The old New School exhibition was a wonderful exhibition that clearly shows that art is a researcher. That level is impossible here anymore. Looking at the past instagrams of the curators here, I remember laughing at the writer and party, and so on.

I was surprised. As usual, people in the explanation and video at the entrance I can't go deeper because they are lined up. I want you to think about this area a little more. Please make a list of works that you are glad to see Yamamoto seaweed and Maxim coffee! The price is high! Please think about a little discount. Museum shop, Ishioka There are too few products related to the Eiko exhibition, and since we are holding such a large scale, please increase the number of products you can easily buy! (Translated by Google) It was closed for 3 years and then reopened in 2019. Since each exhibition has its own impressions, it is not included in the evaluation. It's a modern building next to Kiba Park, and although it looks cool, it's not very easy to use. ・ Since there is only one entrance, it is crowded at popular exhibitions. ・ The passage is narrow. Not suitable for corona. ・ There are few coin lockers on the first floor. ・ The cafe space is delicate. ・ The sales floor for art goods is small. When I go to a museum, I want to buy fashionable art goods, but the sales floor here is less fulfilling than other museums. I want you to put more effort into it. The difficulty is that the cafe space is in a hidden place. I think it should be an open place that can be used by people who come to the park. The special exhibition is interesting, and the permanent exhibition is also a recommended place as an introduction to contemporary art because there are top Japanese artists today. The street from Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station (Kiyosumi Park) is also suitable for walks with cafes and general stores lined up due to the synergistic effect of the museum. * Even if the coin lockers on the first floor are full, the B2 coin lockers are empty. There is also a toilet, so we recommend this.

This time, an exhibition that follows the chronology of Eiko Ishioka. I miss the posters of Shiseido, Parco, and Kadokawa Shoten. In later years, there were many costume designs for movies, concerts, etc., and they are still sharpening, and they have not faded at all.

(Translated by Google) I've seen a solo exhibition by Icelandic Danish artist Olafur Eliasson at the Museum of Contemporary Art "A river sometimes becomes a bridge." The ticket is 1400 yen for adults. I went to Japan as a large-scale solo exhibition for the first time in 10 years, but the actual exhibit is "Eh, this is it?" Many other people had such voices. The content is poor. Also, from the exhibition hall on the second basement floor, the escalator at the end is the first floor, and it is not possible to return in one way. I had a family in a wheelchair, so I had to go around the venue with the staff. For the time being, Eliasson (born 1967) is known internationally for his sustainable efforts through art. This solo exhibition is organized around Eliasson's interest in renewable energy and how it works on climate change, which is reflected in the title. "Sometimes a river becomes a bridge" means a shift in the perspective of things that is not yet clear or that we can see things that are invisible. Eliasson says. “In the face of radical changes in the global environment, we have to redesign the systems for living and redesign the future. To do that, we need to fundamentally rethink our view of everything.” Since the place is Kiyosumi Shirakawa, I stopped by blue bottle coffee on the way back, but gave up waiting for 30 minutes. Chan Chan.

It's very family-friendly. They offer free baby food at their restaurant and also buggies at the museum itself. Lots of exhibits with different themes although a bit pricey to see all of it. You have to pay 3000 yen per person to see all the exhibits. Although it is possible to just see one or two exhibits for less. However, I do think it's worth it because of the extra services they offer for free.

(Translated by Google) A stylish museum designed by Takahiko Yanagisawa, which opened in 1995. The light shining through the large and small dot holes placed in the long and narrow entrance is beautiful, and it is worth seeing just by looking at the building. It is located about 10 to 15 minutes on foot from Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station, which is far from the city center, and it is easier to reach by bus. There are cafes and restaurants in the building, but both are expensive and there are no crowded seats at popular exhibitions. There are several cafes such as All Espresso, Blue Bottle Coffee, World Neighbor, etc. within a 5-minute walk, so we recommend that. High admission fees are a bottleneck for museums. Even if you live in Tokyo, you need at least 4 to 5000 yen for transportation, admission, food and drink. I want you to set the price so that anyone can easily watch it. Like movie days, you should set a day to turn off admission on a regular basis, or open the door wide. Infection prevention measures are taken at ticket offices. However, it is very dense when you enter. If I lined up behind other people to see the exhibition, the ladies who came later would cut in the gap. Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo Opened in March, 1995, the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo lies east of the Sumida River on the upper edge of the lush and spacious Kiba Park. This museum is probably the most inconveniently located museum in Tokyo. Kiba Station is the closest station, but you’ll still need to allow yourself a good 30 minutes to walk to the museum from there. The long walk between Kiba Station and the museum makes the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo one of the most difficult museums to access. Due to its remote location, you’ll probably never visit this museum on a whim, but even so, as a widely recognized center for the systematic study, collection, preservation, and display of contemporary art, there’s usually enough interesting things to see and do here to make every trip worthwhile. Most exhibitions are primarily focused on postwar Japanese art, featuring a range of subjects, from both within Japan and abroad.
