秩父巡礼の第一番札所です。 訪れるとすればやはり新緑や紅葉の季節をお勧めします。 紅葉の綺麗な寺として知る人ぞ知る場所です。 綺麗なお手洗いも境内にありましたよ。 特にお勧めなのは、本堂裏の(水子地蔵尊脇を登る）紅葉です。ここから本堂を眺めるのもとても綺麗ですし、少し先より小さな山の林になっています。紅葉の季節はこの林全てが赤くなります。

秩父巡礼1番札所 大野原から徒歩40分ほど、その先の駅で降りた方が近いと後々教えてもらいました。 基本的な巡礼セットはこちらで揃います、納経帳は1500円から。 2番札所までの行き方や全体の地図などを貰えました。 2番札は初見ではやられる場所なので水分等装備を整えてください。 他のお寺さんで教えてもらいましたが、四国遍路の白衣や輪袈裟を良く思わない方もいるとの事です、ここは観音様の巡礼です、こちらで新調しても良いかと思います。

昨年一度訪問。本堂内にあがり【おたすけ観音様】の前に座りご縁を持つようにした。本堂内はとてもおごそかな気持ちとなる。
