(Translated by Google) The number of corona infections in Saitama prefecture is still high, so it is better to refrain from doing it. So I gave up this year. I will go to a good time next year. Right now, we are in the Los Angeles Stump Tomb!! We want to go early!! A place for burial mound lovers! It's a sacred place My hobby is visiting tumuli, so I can relax here. Children are not interested in tumuli, so I'm happy that I can go alone. It's a place where you can stay all day long. On the way home, I always stop by at a nearby Japanese confectionery shop and buy the middle of the tomb as a souvenir. Mania must see ❗❗❗ Gyoda's famous jelly fries are also snacks! !!

(Translated by Google) The other burial mounds are full of trees and can only be seen as mountains. Here you can see the shape of the tomb itself. It would have been difficult to maintain. There are many, and the whole picture is wonderful. Since it is far from the station, I think it is better to rent a bicycle from the tourist association next to the JR station. It's a fun town to visit the city of Tabi and go to a castle.

Photo 1. Ancient Burial Mound in Sakitama Kofun Park (Saitama Prefecture) This burial mound is just one of 40+ mounds in a cluster of burial mounds (kofun) dating back to the latter half of the 5th century to the beginning of the 7th century. After excavation and conducting research, the Sakitama Ancient Burial Mounds Museum was established in 1969 to preserve nine of the kofun at this site as a public park. Photo 2. Grounds of the Sakitama Ancient Burial Mounds Museum include numerous paths winding around the various mounds (kofun) lined with cherry trees and well manicured grassy areas. Perfect for studying ancient Japanese history, a family picnic, a dog walk, or leisurely stroll. Photo 3. View of the surrounding trees from atop the larger Maruhaka-Yamakofun burial mound, which is the more popular mound at the park adjacent to the Sakitama Ancient Burial Mounds Museum in Saitama Prefecture. Photo 4. Wide-angle shot of the Maruhakayama-Kofun burial mound, which is one of the larger mounds at the park surrounding the Sakitama Ancient Burial Mounds Museum located in Saitama Prefecture. ★★Check out the video I made for this photo shoot at the Pix4Japan YouTube channel!★★

(Translated by Google) A large park with five ancient tombs in the middle. I took a leisurely walk along the green path. You can experience making haniwa at nearby facilities. It seems that funeral products of cultural value have been discovered. Gyoda City seems to be aiming to register as a World Heritage Site, but it seems a little difficult to get there. You can clearly understand the Kofun mounds from here. You can walk on top of them, see what was in them, and even walk inside one of them. The museum is small but there are some beautiful Yahoo artifacts, including a Yayoi mirror and some of the oldest writing ever in Japan.

(Translated by Google) The holiday cycling course is full of people running and children under elementary school age. There are not many people on weekdays, and there are people taking a walk (people with pets, etc.). I often go for the purpose of moving my child and body, but it is good because I can exercise widely. I also think that it is a matter of manners, but it's a shame to see that pet dung is left unattended. The tumulus is quite tall and can be used for exercise.

(Translated by Google) There is the Maru Graveyama Tumulus (the largest tumulus in Japan) that was built by Samari when he attacked Shinobi Castle during the Warring States Period. For the reason that you can overlook Shinobi Castle from a height of 19m. Before going to see Shinobi, I want you to see Shinobi from here. However, it may be a bit difficult to understand unless you look at it with binoculars or the zoom of your smartphone... but the atmosphere is important. It can be seen that the Saitama burial mound was an important position as a burial mound and the birthplace of Saitama prefecture's name.

(Translated by Google) Take a bus from Fukiage Station to the nearby area and walk for about 15 minutes. It's pretty hard under the scorching sun in the middle of summer, but it's a place where you can enjoy climbing tumuli and entering museums. Some facilities are closed due to corona, but when it comes to old tombs, the image of Kansai is strong, so it's good because you can see it nearby. It seems that it is important nowadays for registration as a Japanese heritage site, but there is also a place where it is a little later, such as a house built right next to the tumulus, so you can study the traces of the development era rather than the history.

Historic site, cherry blossom spot, sunrise view spot. The Sakitama ancient tomb park, most commonly called Sakitama Kofun Park even in English, is a park of nine mounded tombs from between the 5th and 7th century. You can walk up to the top of some and into one. There's a nice lawn on one side of the park where you can picnic and kids can play.
