Not bad place, but the best thing Russian cuisine have - Bliny was really disappointing. Quite pricey, as fancy restaurants. Dessert was the biggest surprise, bitter dessert is what I love the most

One of the best Russian food places around Tokyo. The pictures are from last Christmas dinner course. There’s also Evgeni Plushenko’s autograph in the bathroom if you are a fan! ;)

Food was amazing, perfectly cooked and nicely presented. Room is cozy, great one for a long dinner. Not many tables, so the best is to book. Excellent chicken Kyiv, shashlik, salo. Borsch was tasty and healthy with a nice piece of a prime cut of a meat, but in my opinion missing sourness, density of a broth and fat.

Great mix of traditional & modern takes on pan-Slavic food. The assorted appetizer plate is amazing, as is the extensive vodka list. The staff is knowledgable, welcoming & attentive. The ambiance is timeless, intimate & stylish.

First time trying Russian food here in Tokyo. Super cozy atmosphere, huge sortion of vodka-based drinks, and top-notch food. Prices are a tad on the expensive side. Went with a course and ordwred two drinks, which summed up to about 6000JPY. They also had Russian speaking staff.

Authentic Russian restaurant!! ... But since I am not a Russian national, I m just assuming its authenticity. Anyhow, great variety of cuisine and beverage related w/ Russian or Slavic countries available. The Restaurant is located in a basement w/ old-fashioned interior. Love the atmosphere. Little pricy for my pocket but do definitely recommend it when you wanna taste something nice 😋

One of the only Russian restaurants we found in Tokyo. As ethnic Russians, we had some expectations of the food and we were not disappointed. The staff and atmosphere were fantastic, and the food was great. We would highly recommend anyone who had never had Russian food to try Sungari. Japanese Russian is quite an experience!

A Ukrainian friend recommended this place to me. What a revelation. Great food from the Caucuses region, including Ukrainian, Georgian, Uzbek and Russian dishes such as Borsche, Cabbage rolls, Beef Stroganoff, Kiev Cutlet, Piroshki. The ambiance and decor is great. I went in quite a large group, so we tried almost everything. A Georgian friend also goes there regularly. The Georgian wine was excellent. They have two branches in Shinjuku and a sister restaurant called Kiev in Kyoto. I usually go when I am in Tokyo. If you are lucky enough to meet the owner, Ms. Kato, she can tell you a fascinating story about the history of the restaurant. It opened in 1957 and in English the name means Milky Way. Смачного (Bon appetite in Ukrainian). 100% recommended

Why did I wait so long to come here? A wonderful, friendly, cozy restaurant with incredibly delicious food. Went with a friend who'd lived in Russia and she gave it two thumbs up for authenticity.
