A bit confusing station. Monorail for Haneda Airport is on the first floor. No elevators makes it a biggest flaw. Get down into the subway from A-B and reach sightseeing places around tokyo.

Big railway station and few major tourist spots are located near to this station like Tokyo tower, world trade center and tokyo shrine. Big station, so need to be very careful on exit or else you will be directed to different location instead of the planned one. So check the exit well before get out of the station

Has a lot of coin lockers and is connected by JR line. Good station to leave your luggage at on your last day. Is the first monorail stop, so you can enter an empty train meant for luggage space.

Only transited the station to go to the Tokyo Mega Illumination and back. We were able to use the station without difficulty but then again we didn’t spend much time here nor used this multiple times. Our limited experience was good enough and it was nice to discover that there’s such a thing as the Tokyo Monorail so no negative review at this point.

Very useful JR Yamanote line close to the Tokyo Tower and the Zojoji Shrine. Very easy to navigate through as everything is very well indicated.

Take the monorail from Haneda airport to Hamatsucho station after converting the JR rail pass. This route is faster compare to the Keikyu line as the monorail leaves Haneda airport and ends here without stopping anywhere along the line. JR pass is accepted on monorail. This station doesn't have stop for Shinkansen. So commuters should take JR Yamanote to Tokyo or Shinagawa station to catch a bullet train.

At the South-end of the platform No.3 and 4, you will find ‘Manneken Pis’, a statue of boy pissing. Even though you are not in Brussels, a city of Belgian, you can see this. This statue sets around 70 years ago, probably in 1952, and this is the reason why he wears this eccentric Kimono kind. In Japan, when a person became 70 years old, they celebrate his/her birthday calling ‘KoKi’, having meaning of ‘rare to have long life’. This costume depends upon the season, etc. It is good to see this kind of sense of humour in Tokyo.

This a great station for your base as a visitor to Tokyo. It is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel I stayed at. You can get pretty much anywhere from here. The morning and evening commute is opposite the crowds. The JY train is almost empty in the morning as almost everyone on the train gets off here.

Sightseeing at Hamamatsucho, clean street, great weather, pleasant walk and captured some of the interesting view along the streets. I guess I would probably drop by and dine in some of the cafe/ restaurant if it’s not due to time constraints. Hamamatsucho, I will be back!

It's a very convenient transport hub with JR, monorail, and metro. Just warning that currently it is a huge mess with JR and monorail undergoing perpetual construction. The access to the monorail is particularly bad at the moment as exit/entry routes seem to be re-configured every 6 months. There is only one tiny elevator serving the floors and there is always a huge line. Just a shame that this is the first impression that many foreign visitors get when they arrive in Japan. I understand the renovation is a necessary evil but....sigh.

I entered from the JR entrance to take monorail but couldn’t enter until I paid ¥140 for just entering from JR entrance? There was no sign on the entrance stating that this entrance would cost additional entrance fee and the station staff insisted me to go back to reenter if I don’t want to pay despite that I will be missing my train. This was not clear and not very friendly at all. Bad experience. Hope they will improve.

One of the most crowded heavily congested-train stations in Tokyo. You can actually take the monorail to Haneda Airport from this station just transfer to the correct line. But nights mornings and most of the time crowded from people from all over Japan so you may get a clash of different personalities and cultures throughout Japan.

I only ever used the north exit, so I didn't see a lot of the station, but this was an awesome hub to operate out of for my trip. For a first-timer using a major railway system in any city in the world (at least independently -- NYC as a kid hardly counts), it was simple to figure out how everything worked in Hamamatsucho. There are only a few platforms, and the lines/destination are well-labeled, so it's really hard to screw things up. My concerns with this station are accessibility and safety. It is one of the few (at least, that I saw along the Yamanote) stations in Tokyo where there are no barriers between the platform and the tracks. This means when walking down the narrow platform areas (e.g. either side of the stairs), one misstep could send you onto the tracks. Or, some malicious person could push you onto the tracks -- highly unlikely, I imagine, but the thought does cross your mind when you're literally inches away from potential death. A lot of the times, you can walk far enough away from the edge of the platform to feel safe, but during peak hours, you will inevitably find yourself close to the edge or waiting a _very_ long time for crowds to pass so that you can walk closer to the inside. As for accessibility, I only saw the (smaller) north exit, as mentioned, which has no elevators or disabled-persons accessibility whatsoever. You would need to make your way to the south exit (I assume there are elevators or ramps there) which is quite a distance away from the north exit. This wasn't an issue for me, but bear in mind that while the north exit can be very efficient for able-bodied people, it is highly ill-prepared for people needing special assistance, so pick your hotel accordingly if you'd benefit from being closer to the south exit. Since everyone is mentioning Haneda, I want to mention that the station is convenient for Narita travelers. The station is 7 minutes away from Tokyo Station on multiple lines, which has the Narita Express, so you can easily get to and from Narita that way. I bought my NEX ticket from the limited express ticket machine outside the gates of the north exit.

Convenience transfer between monorail and JR line. Use this route from my hotel Prince Shinagawa To Continental Tire Japan at Sea Fort Square.
