Walking in to the place, you are immediately taken into an impressively arranged garden with lovely decor leaving an immediate impression. Our table was situated infront of another section of a garden. The attention to detail is evident and adds to the restaurant experience. We ordered some starters, including satay chicken, prawns, spring rolls and others. The starters were fine. I think the pastry related dishes tasted well with the chicken lacking some flavour and tenderness. For mains, I ate the green curry with jasmine rice. This tasted nice without being spectacular. A more does-what-it-say type of meal. You know what you are getting. Overall, the restaurant experience is elevated by the setting and ambience although the food doesn’t quite reach those grand levels, whilst still having a satisfying meal.

We liked it so much, we visited 3 times in 1 week. Lovely spicy dishes, easy parking outside, gets crowded every time so try to make a booking. The food is colorful, it looks and smells very good and the service is very nice. Dinner for 4 people would set you back around 5.000 MUR, with drinks and everything. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will definitely return here. Which I already did.

I had the pleasure of celebrating a friend’s birthday lunch at Ousaporn Thai Restaurant. The service was good and the food was delicious - they have a new chef. The venue is a veritable green oasis in La Mivoie, tucked away like a secret garden 🪴 It’s quiet as it’s located away from the noisy main road. Will definitely visit again! Practical aspects: Easy access Lots of parking at the back Many areas to sit Protected from the heat on those hot summer days Diverse menu for all palates

Loved the time spent! We had been looking forward again since it closed in Trianon and since Covid! The pictures speak for itself! We ordered the classics: Tom Yum Soup as starter ( also available as main course), Pad Thai , Fried Fish Stir Fry and Green Thai curry. The last 2 are usually accompanied with jasmine/thai rice, although you can also order it and many others as side dish. Caution: spice level is not the same. We took medium spicy and it was still too spicy for us! The Medium spicy Tom Yum soup would be an excdllent remedy for a hangover! Enjoy!

Hidden gem...Perfect place for lunch, or dinner in genuine thai garden with tasty thai meals. On the menu you can find beside every meal depicted on photo also symbols of red hot chilli peppers, so you can chose proper meal for you...

In many cases restaurants that talk a big game about their levels of spice fail to impress. This is not the case with Ousaporn. Spice-lovers rejoice! This place does what it says on the box. So buckle-up, order the spicy and have an excellent Thai experience. Sadly no pics of the food. We were ravenous from a hike in the Black River. We had the Pad Thai, Satays, Spring Rolls and a variety of other dishes. I had the Pas Ki Mow - spicy. Everyone had a great meal. Thanks to the team at Ousaporn we will be back!

Tasty food, at times too hot but worth the experience. Felt somehow like the food in Malaysia. A bit on the pricy side. Would advise not to sit outside during summer as there are a lot of mosquitoes.

The atmosphere is very beautiful and cosy, hope we didn't ruin it by bringing a baby. The food was delicious and tasted very authentic. It's been a while since my visit to Thailand but it tasted like I was there again. Don't listen to the reviews that say it's too spicy, instead listen to the restaurant's fair warning: medium spicy means spicy, if you can't handle spicy choose non-spicy. This will guarantee you have a great time. Once again can't stress enough how good the food was. Will think back to this visit for a long time.

Authentic Thai food in a great location - spicy Tom yum (not for the faint heated!) and exquisite Pad Thai! Beautiful outdoor setting, can have mosquitoes but staff helpfully provided repellent - all in all highly recommended!

The decor of the place is really magical and it does make you feel like you are away in a different part of the world. The food was really good, although i will not be a good judge of how authentic it is. It is definitely well spiced and tasty! I'm definitely going back.

Great food! Entrance is a bit confusing to find in the dark. Worth a visit! Service was fast! Menu is a bit confusing for people who are not acquainted with Thai food. But watch out for the spiciness level! We took the 0 spicy level foods and it was great. Tasty, well balanced, fast service.. Best glass noodles meal I've had in a long while! And a great Margarita 🍸🍹 drink to go with it 😀

Craving for Thai curry lead us to Ousaporn @Black River —we had the veg spring roola and the papaya salad with Fanta and immediately moved on to the chicken in red curry and vegetables in Green curry with Jasmine rice we added Pad Thai and Fried rice too —we had ordered the food to be made very spicy and we got it that way —Oveall a good experience

This is an absolute hidden gem in Tamarin, stuck behind a shopping centre... but what fantastic thai food and atmosphere! Sitting in the gardens or in the Thai house, you will be amazed at the food. It might look basic on your plate but it will dance on your taste buds! Have the crabcurry - spicy! It's worth it!

The atmosphere is really very nice...you feel cut off from all the hustles of the city. Highly recommended! However the service should be improved as our food were served well after other persons who joined after us. It's a second time we visited and it was the same experience. It took us 35 mins to get our starter. Otherwise very nice atmosphere, cool and great food.

Food authentic and super tasty. And for people who love spicy, great spot. Slightly expensive and cost on average 800-1000 Rs per person for a meal. The location and set up is superb.

We went here twice because food was so good, and I wanted to go back again. We had the fried rice with prawns, duck red pineapple curry and stir fry beef curry. All of them were ridiculously good. I’ve travelled in Thailand and it’s actually on par with what I had then, arguably even better (seriously). I also tried fried glass noodles but I recommend the curries more. The flavours were perfect with good quality ingredients, none overcooked! Prawns were huge! Service was also very nice and friendly. Oh also, it’s also very good value for money, Please do visit and you wont regret!

Simply one of the best restaurants west side of mauritius, food was 10/10 taste freshness, atmosphere was cosy a lovely setting for dinner, we discovered this on one if our last nights otherwise we would have been there again for more. I even ordered another dish after having my first because the food was that great. And yes the spice is as they say it, if you like spicy food you'll be very happy with choosing spicy or hot as we were.

Very cozy garden. The food came super fast. Its spicy according to what you order. Spicy as Thai dishes often are. My kids loved the place almost as much as I did. Congrats to the kitchen and service teams who served delicious food in a record time. To the owners: please do something about mosquitoes! 🦟 🦟 🦟 There are good trap systems :)
