Another great place to stop and see. Our hut was fantastic and very comfortable. Excursions and tours were well thought out and guided. Wish we could go on more boat rides down the small tributaries off of the main river. Food was great and personnel very accommodating. Love the bar for our end-of-day meetups.

Corto Maltes is a short boat ride down the Madre de Dios River from Puerto Maldonado. The guides are excellent and provide great insight about the rainforest and beautiful Lago Sandoval. The thatched, wooden bungalows have basic but private baths and balconies. All have easy access to a main building bar, restaurant, and swimming pool. The lodge's surrounding forest holds an array of other animals. See even more wildlife on a trip to nearby Lago Sandoval, which is included in two- and three-night stays.

I had one of the best travel experiences of my life here. My time here was the highlight of my 2 week trip to Peru. It was incredible. The cabins are very nice, the grounds are well kept and full of animal life. The food was pretty good. The excursions were great, particularly Sandoval Lake. My wife and I had an incredible time, our only regret was not staying longer.

we had an amazing time! The guide we had was like a living wildlife-encyclopedia! He managed to spot tons of animals that we would have never seen without him. The food was more than enough and super delicious. we hope to visit again soon

One of the best trips I ever took. Great experience, very well thought activities, knowledgeable guides, fantastic food, superb facilities, and very attentive staff. I could see this place becoming a magnet for tourists.

Every day several excursions that makes you feel how inventive nature can be. A good guide completes the experience. Swimming pool helps to relax and cool down after a hefty week on the Inca trail.

Extremely beautiful place to spend a few days in Amazonia. Very nice bungalows with private bathrooms and comfortable beds with protective mosquito nets, great and tasty food at the restaurant and very nice walks into the jungle and to the nearby lake. Don't miss the evening caiman safari! Very informative guides. Very welcoming swimming pool with fresh water and a nice park where to spend your time while not doing any activities. Note that the electricity works only during certain hours. Two stars minus due to the extreme inflexibility of the management for those who have a very late plane from Puerto Maldonado. You are not allowed to stay at Corto Maltes after the check out time. You are literally "thrown out" without any compassion, with the explanation that there are no later boats to take you to the town. The feeling that we had was that once what you paid for was over, you're not welcome there anymore.

We stayed here three days and enjoyed a full programme of jungle experience. The food was excellent, the staff professional and the bungalows very comfortable. The garden and the pets were lovely! Also the bar was a cool place to hang out and drink really good and cheap cocktails. If I had time I would stay longer!

When in Peru a must is to experience the Amazon. Even tho I was not a fan of the humidity, visiting the Amazon was quite the adventure. Stayed three days. At Corto Maltés Amazonia we were divided into groups with our own guide. We were assigned Mr. Yon. Loved his professionalism and his ability to makes us all feel like a huge family. We went to Lake Sandoval and it was truly amazing the hike was fun and the lake ride was amazing we saw monkeys, bats, a black caiman. Their customer service is great except they never paid attention to my no seafood note I made in the main office. It’s understandable but next time just take time to really take into consideration that. The bungalow was cute and small. Love that they think of the environment and electricity was very limited. The facility was very clean and nice. Really enjoyed staying here and all the adventures. There is a pool even tho we just saw it and never went in it, there’s also a bar and a little souvenir shop in the main entrance. Also before I forget there’s two local exotic birds near the kitchen which they’re always there or near by.

Our first vacation in the jungle. I highly recommend this lodge. first of all it is very friendly here. The area is well maintained. simply a paradise among wild nature. secondly, we had a very competent guide Rolando. I can’t express our delight in words.
