The location of this Hotel is 7 km , or 4.3 miles from Puerto Maldonado by boat. The facilities are extremely clean, and the staff is super friendly and attentive of any needs you have. The Cabanas are large, clean, with insta hot water on the shower and sink. The beds are comfortable, no AC on the rooms but two fans are adequate. Elactricity is only available from 5 am to 2.30 pm and from 5.00 till around 10.30 enough time to charge all your gadgets and electronics. No TV or internet available on the rooms, thank God! Internet only on the main lodge and dinning area. The food is tasty, delicious and well served. Portions are adequate not huge like in the States but sufficient. The service is always available, friendly and courteous, and bi lingual. The tours available are interesting and informative with friendly guides always trying to help. After the long day of exploring they have Happy hour and tea time every day to chill before dinner. They have a spa to relax too. This place is a must if you like to explore for a 3-4 days and connect with nature.

If you want to enjoy a neat experience in the middle of the jungle and feel almost at home... this is your place. We had a wonderful experience here. The lodges are very nice. The whole property is well maintained and they make you feel at home upon arrival. The excursions are really fun and if you like nature it’s just awesome! The food was very tasty and fresh. Mr. Fray is hands down my favorite and one of my favorite people that I met on my trip to Peru. Kudos!

You are definitely in the middle of the jungle! The main house is very nice with a large dining room and a gift shop. upstairs is a large room where you can hang out as a group, which is nice as the cabins would not accommodate more than a few people. The food was really good and they did a great job of planning the dinner menu. The cabins are nice and provide a nice, open feel. DO NOT get the tap or shower water in your mouth, ears or eyes. In fact, I would advise not sticking your head under the shower at all. Use the shower to rinse off or cool yourself during the hot part of the day (there is no air conditioning). The river touring was fun as was the hanging bridges. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a nice sense of community with the fellow travelers and this really added to the enjoyment of the jungle excursions. It is truly a unique experience and made for some incredible memories.

Amazing Jungle lodges in the middle of the amazon rainforest. We never thought we would have such a spectacular time in the middle of a jungle. The rooms were spacious, and just magical. We had fine dining experience during our stay, and have zero complaints about the cuisines. The best part of this place is the staff and guides. They do their best to make sure everyone is accommodated and feels their best during their stay. Our guide Josie had so much knowledge and expertise for our excursions and we really enjoyed all our excursions with her. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Peru. Hats off to our travel agency for booking this place for us!

The food was a problem. For everyone in our group. Tiny portions. I booked as a vegan. They had no idea what to feed me. Dessert was awful daily and never a single vegan option. Again, I pre booked vegan weeks ago. ‘Tea time’ was promised with biscuits etc. daily but you were lucky if there was ever milk provided. They are still meant to refund our massages but we have not received the promised e mail 2 weeks after. Management style: absent. Rooms were nice, excursions were mostly good.

Do not be fooled by this scam business! We booked a 4-day package here for a trip at the end of July, but we had to cancel our entire Peru trip early May due to personal reasons. Despite booking the flexible rate and clearly cancelling well within their 16-day cancellation period, we STILL haven’t been refunded. Mails barely get any response or answer, and despite being told we’d get our money back, we are almost 120 days (!) after our cancellation and we are still waiting on our money. We are now looking into legal options with an attorney to force the hotel to pay us back our money, per their own user agreement. Ridiculous, I know. And now, you know too. Keep this in mind when you look for a hotel, and look elsewhere.

The resort itself is super nice and a stunning place to stay. So if you only go there to have a stay at a super nice accomodation, this hotel is a good choice. If your focus is more on excursions and seeing wildlife, you should probably look at lodges at tambopata river. However, given the price and their own image as a higher-end hotel there were still a few thing we were disappointed with: -Not only are the groups for the excursion are quite large with about 10-15 people. But also multiple groups go to the excursion together, so it doesn't feel like an exclusive jungle experience at all and I believe that it also limits the opportunities to see any wildlife of 30 people go to the excursions at once. - were stayed there for 2 nights/3 days and on the 3rd day the lunch menu was the same as on the first day - Vegetarian options are super limited. For the second dinner there was soup for starters and the only veg. main was a stew - so two times soup, while the meat dishes are all very elaborate. - In contrast to probably all the other guests we didn't leave by plane but by night-bus which seemed to confuse the hotel staff. It was very unfortunate that we got dropped of in Puerto Maldonado at 2pm while the bus only left at 9pm as there is not much to do while waiting in Puerto Maldonado. It would have been nice if there would have been additional excursions offered (of course for additional pay) or of we could have just stayed longer in the main building. -last very minor thing: We booked the additional birdwatching tour and also there were some small but annoying things at the gives price point: All the other guides (including inkaterra staff) brought stationary telescopes for watching the birds/taking pictures, but our guide didn't. Furthermore she brought two binoculars for 4 people (2 groups of 2) and gave both of the "free" binoculars to the other group because we already rented one from the lodge... So all in all only go there for the lodge itself if you want to have a relaxing stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights/3days. It was absolutely superb. Uriel was our excursion guide and was extremely knowledgeable and made our stay fun and exciting. The cabanas were placed so you could see the wildlife just getting on with life. The Howler Monkey at 4am was an experience to be had 🤣 The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to experience the Peruvian Jungle.

Such a wonderful experience. Thoroughly enjoyed my 3 nights here with a full itinerary and lots of animal spotting. The restaurant was very good, make sure you’re brave and try new things! Drinks were quite expensive compared to other places in Peru, even when considering the happy hour. Beds were comfortable and rooms were wonderful despite being quite dark even during the day. This was because of the jungle location though so understandable! Over all a great place to stay and would go back again if the weather was 5° cooler!

A little bit of luxury in the regenerative jungle... They appear to have thought of almost everything. From the natural insect repellent to welcoming you at the airport. Everything ran smoothly and the excursions were a great experience. Don't miss the canopy walk. The meals were well presented and very nice. My only gripe is they said that the bar was open at 530... and we had to hunt for staff for a beer... and same at dinner time. I'm used to island time... but not from a 5 star place. Having said that... great place.... awesome atmosphere... superb staff. And.... a Toucan that knocked on our door and came on in and hung out.... very cool.

Our group had an amazing time both in the hotel and with the excursion trips. Despite the jungles, the food was exceptional. The staff and tour guides were helpful and knowledgeable. They took care of our trip seamlessly. However, remember to take as much mosquito repellant as possible.

I had a blast here. Everyone was very nice. The jungle is beautiful. The sounds at night are fascinating. Looking at the sky from their dock offered incredible sunsets and beautiful starry skies. I didn’t like that the generator stopped at a certain hour at night (meaning the fans stopped working), but that is because I’m a wimp who needs AC. Also, and I can’t stress this enough, if you guide offers termites for you to eat: they are kinda good and you should try them. They taste nutty and have a steak after taste. A week after we left I was craving something and finally realized it was termites. That was a new one for me.

I am still thinking about my stay at Inkaterra Hacienda Concepcion. Intro/Transfer/Check-in: Transfer was seamless and professional. Isabel and others [dressed in uniforms, which really made Inkaterra stand out vs the other lodge pickups] were already waiting for me once I touched down in Puerto Maldonado airport. From there we drove about 20 mins to the Inkaterra dock and rode by boat to the lodge. Once at the lodge I was greeted with a cold drink, we discussed logistics, I was introduced to my excursion guide, and was shown to my room. Room: Despite the awesome cabanas, I chose to stay in the main house (room 30) and do not regret it! Pros- proximity to dining area for meals, tea time, etc. so wifi actually worked in my room from time to time. I did not notice any noise issues – things get very quiet after dinnertime, no rainforest sounds either. No need for mosquito net because there were no bugs. Cons- lack of privacy should someone walk past your room during the daytime and your blinds are open. However, this can easily be fixed by putting up a sheer curtain or roping off the hallway area during daytime hours (there is no reason for anyone to walk that way anyway). Excursions: My guide Uriel had the lucky task of dragging me, a NYC-bred scaredy-cat, through all of my excursions. Uriel possesses a wealth of knowledge and thoroughly answered my many questions and I enjoyed our discourse quite a bit - I learned so much not only about the jungle but about an entirely foreign way of life, which certainly broadened my worldview. Uriel was also very patient with my fear of bugs/animals/heights (as earlier mentioned, I am a scaredy-cat!!), and at every step urged me to go at my own pace. The rainforest is awe-inspiring and I am so glad I took the leap to enter… I felt at peace with the surroundings in a way that is difficult to put into words... Lake Sandoval and Canopy Walk are the two main excursions and so 2nts/3 days is ideal amount of time for this lodge. Maybe Inkaterra could also create a ¼ day excursion to look at plants in the wild for those city dwellers that collect houseplants in our concrete apartments 😊 (follow me follow me!). Food: Terrific! For each meal you are given a menu of gourmet dishes to choose from. I am gluten-free, and was touched by the special effort that the kitchen took to craft special breads and other options for me. Wesley was especially attentive, which I appreciated very much. Check-out: Transfer back to the airport was just as professional; the team stays with you (and prints out everyone’s boarding passes!) to help with every possible thing until you are past security. From start to finish, I did not have to think about or worry about a thing. Other: Unsure if I got lucky with the weather, but I did not get bitten. I also wore the same permethrin-treated clothes for three days straight (loose fitting pants and long-sleeved shirt, with waterproof hiking boots), so who knows. I also used those insect wipes instead of a spray.

Amazing lodge in the jungle and the whole experience was unique. Our guide Rene was fantastic with a lot of knowledge about jungle and animals. The only negative was the spa prices (very high).
