Had a great time at La Aurora! Eugene was amazing and very knowledgeable. Learned how to properly smoke a cigar and most of all enjoy it. Its a free tour, just call their office and set it up. Everyone greeted us professionally and with a warm smile.

We had the best experience here or anywhere. A visit to the factory is a must, in my opinion. Our guide, Eugene, taught us so many things. We certainly didn’t leave empty handed! The gift shop was amazing!

The tour is amazinggggg, it's free and really interesting even for us non smokers. We got lucky and our tour guide was actually the founder's grandson. Eduardo was super knowledgable and just generally a good time. Highly recommended.

I went on a tour of the factory with Eugene today and it was awesome. There were three of us, and we showed up late (after 4PM) and Eugene still brought us on the tour. It was a lot nicer than expected, and we picked up a few good smokes on the way. Definitely recommed stop by if you enjoy cigars and good people. Eugene went a step above, if anyone from management/ownweowne reads this review, know that we appreciated him.

A fascinating tour for any who is interested in the history of cigar making and tobacco in general. In addition to seeing cigars being made by hand, a comprehensive display of photographs, objects and text relate the story of the company. There is also well laid out display that explains in full the process of growing, curing and maturing the tobacco. Definitely worth a visit.

Eugene was our tour guide and he was one of the best tour guides we've had for any tour experiences during our travels across the world. He extended the tour by half an hour for us to go more in depth about the history and process. My husband and I both received 2 cigars each during the tour in which Eugene took the time and patience to teach us first timers how to properly smoke a cigar from beginning to end. He is a wealth of knowledge and so very kind. There are a few reviews that said the tour was free, we booked ahead on the website and paid $20 USD admission each. So, I'm not sure if we were unaware or if the policy has changed and they do charge admission moving forward. Regardless it was well worth the price and we loved Eugene so much we gave him an additional $25 USD tip. If you plan to tip, bring cash. They do not accept venmo, cashapp, paypal, etc. for tipping. There is an ATM down the street if you need it. We bought a 10-pack of mild cigars, the lighter, and clipping tool all in the gift shop, which the gift shop does take card. We will recommend this tour to friends and family who may visit in the future. I hope our paths cross again with Eugene in the future, he truly was an amazing human!

Definitely one of the highlights to our visit to Santiago. Even for non smokers it is interesting to see the process of cigar making. Our tour guide was a polyglot and explained all with fun anecdotes and eloquence. Book your tour in advance and enjoy the aromas and history of cigar making. Take advantage of the factory store. La Aurora really takes pride in its work.

The trip to the cigar factory is one of the best in my life. The guide Eugenio is wonderful. Full of charm and enthusiasm. Wholeheartedly recommend. The pictures don't give it justice. In this trip experience is the most important thing 😍. Attention: the participants have to be 18+.

Outstanding experience! I would do the tour again and I will when and if I am back in the DR. This tour explains everything that goes into a good quality cigar. They start with the seed, the various leaves of the plant, growing conditions, aging, blending and many other steps that go into hand rolling some of the best cigars made. Best tour ever!
