Enjoyed two nights in a quaint premium cottage amongst the trees & birdlife. Open fireplace is a treat, full kitchen is convenient, Blu-ray player & tv, & spacious bathroom. Friendly staff deliver OJ & food in the morning. We recommend this mountain property for a relaxing getaway :)

Just beautiful. Nature around you. Amazing sunsets, walks in the forest with water falls. Accommodation is rustic yet with all comforts, amenities, fireplace, jacuzzi bath, TV dvds, kitchen, wine waiting for you. Best romantic place and also to detox and unwind and disconnect from the world out there and to have amazing sex or making hot love

I love this place. The staff are wonderful and conspired with me to make it the perfect place to propose to the woman of my dreams (she said yes). I can definitely recommend this a perfect romantic getaway. The accommodation is beautiful and quirky (including a castle and an Abbey!) Top job Cheryl and team. Thank you so much.

Beautiful cottages each has its own theme. We stayed at the Gamekeeper Cottage. Definitely recommend at any time for great escape for some well deserved R & R . Stunning exquisite luxurious accommodation with beautiful breathtaking views available a few meters from our accommodation . Loved our own 😍 cozy log fire 🔥 fireplace in our cottage. We also have a jacuzzi. We also have a nice porch infront of our cottage. We absolutely 💯 enjoyed our stay. I have personally recommended this place to my family. It's one of the best and enjoyable 😉 getaway experience I've ever had. ✨️✨️✨️

Had a wonderful two nights in the Abby Lovely welcome on arrival, beautiful gardens, wonderful accommodation, very comfy bed and the spa bath was dreamy. Loved sitting in front of the fire and listening to the bird song each morning and evening Thank you for a wonderful stay

Utter incompetence. The juice is just cheap OJ. They slice one orange from the shops and slice one seed in half on purpose to make it look like fresh OJ. Huge tarantulas, dirty tap water from dirty tanks for your spa bath experience. Can't get reception as they can't be bothered fixing it. No wifi. Terrible service and attitude, they barely clean the place in-between guests...Yuck. And they say it's a 5 star venue 😆. Beautiful grounds, shame about the lack of maintenance and service.

We recently stayed for two nights in the Irish Cottage. I was treated to a wonderful massage on arrival. The cottage was very quaint and well appointed with everything for our stay. The bedroom had a luxurious feel and the spa bath was a lovely feature. The staff were very helpful but unobtrusive.it was an easy stroll to view the sunset.

The Abby-bed so comfortable, breaks delivered each morning (we requested gluten-free, and this was adhered to), all staff very friendly (although I must mention Tanya was so helpful, nothing was trouble for her). Thanks for the relaxation and I will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the charm of the abbey, especially the fresh bread in the morning - but the bath water was brown and not much water pressure from the shower head. The bed was really uncomfortable and although the staff made an effort to fix it for us, we ended up sleeping on the floor on our second night. Lovely staff though and quiet scenery to enjoy

The Carmichaels had something special! But unfortunately big changes are ahead of Lisson grove as the owners are retiring.... The cottages are being sold off, the chief they're had has retired (no more unforgettable breakfasts) & I really don't know how it's going to work in the future... If at all.... But anyway.... Behalf of my wife & I wish the Carmichaels all the best....

My wife Judy and I have spent wonderful times at Lisson Grove over many years. We can’t praise the owner and her staff enough except to say the setting is unique, one that embraces quiet relaxation and beautiful surroundings. If you get the chance visit the local Irish pub on a Sunday afternoon- it’s a Craic

What a beautiful experience! The best retreat I've ever been to. Perfect place to unwind, relax and recharge the batteries with our busy lifestyle. We had planned on venturing out on the mountain for our stay but once we landed, we decided to bring the local wine/cheese/food to the castle and enjoyed every moment there. 10/10

Firstly, such a beautiful place to stay! The fresh bread, breakfast spread & juice in the morning was such a lovely touch! We loved the homely feel of our little Abby cottage. Its was a bit cold and the electric heater we had didn't do much to warm the place up. There is a fireplace, which we got roaring on the second night but it still remained a little cold for my liking. It was average on the cleaning, bit of mould in the shower and one of our bathrobes was covered in something sticky. Other than that, we loved our stay!!

My wife and I run a local Gold Coast Charity - at the end of a very busy and stressful year we needed a break and we found The Abbey at Lisson Grove! Wow! Just the most wonderful place and Nick (our host) could not do enough for us! Simply couldn’t recommend this place any higher. If you’re looking for a very comfortable, peaceful and private place to get away in an area that provides wonderful views, great places to eat and drink - good tourist shopping just down the road - then this is it! Thanks again Nick - we will definitely be back! 100%
