It's really difficult to get an appointment via the 8am phone in. Sadly they are still registering new patients whilst it's almost impossible to get to see a Doctor now. The service here is only going to get worse. Last week I was on the phone for 50 minutes. During this time I went from position 7 to 4. Then my call was cut off. I walked into the practice and spoke to the receptionist, tall blond girl, to request an appointment. I was told to ring at 8am the following day. As I turned away I noticed her smiling to another member staff. I told her she may find it funny that we cannot get an appointment but it's not funny for the patients. As previous people have said register with this practice only if you never want to see a Doctor.

Would have left this doctors by now if I wasn’t in the middle of referrals still. Last few months have been a shambles. Got told I had to come in for bloods and given an appointment, only to get there and them tell me I couldn’t do the bloods because it’s too late in the day and I should have been booked on an earlier slot (that is for them to do when booking me in for my bloods?) and I then had to make the same journey back the following day for a successful blood appointment. Weeks later I’ve got my results and have been told I need to book in for injections - well I’ve currently been on hold as ‘position 1’ for 50 minutes and it doesn’t seem like anyone is answering me any time soon. I have repeatedly been in this surgery and watched the phone be ignored indefinitely before now and very frustrated knowing this is what is currently happening to me now. An uphill struggle just to even try and speak to a receptionist is not how it should be, let alone to then get booked in for a process that can’t even be done at that time of day and waste my time completely. Do not register here and save yourself the stress.

Not even worth the one star! Absolutely shocking practice, needs shutting down! Receptionists are rude and just ignore the needs of patients (face to face and telephone!) they just hide in the back to avoid doing work, rude to the elderly and don’t seem to care for baby appointments either. Never consistent with the Doctors you see so always having to reshare history with someone new! Gone downhill since Doctor Cox retired, they can’t even update paperwork so he’s still down as patients GP!

Will not go into details about the rude receptionists. I asked for the name of one so I could make a complaint. Three days later I was sent a letter telling me that I had been removed from their list for being 'abusive' amongst other lies. I have never been abusive to staff anywhere. When I did complain I heard nothing back. I'm now at a lovely doctors' just down the road. To be thrown out after thirteen years on the say so of a known liar was shocking. Am glad to be shot of the place, awful service and two receptionists from hell. (This review does not refer to the receptionist Joan, who is lovely and helpful, and goes out of her way to get things sorted. It's the other sullen pair.)

Absolutely shocking service from reception. My husband constantly struggles to even get through, and the receptionist are so offhand and unhelpful when he does manage to get through. Shame because it totally lets this practice down. I feel the reception staff need to retrain. Doctors and nurses are fine when you get to see them, however due to the unhelpfulness of the reception staff, this isn't often. Also this is the only practise to not contact people re flu jabs which is really odd.

How is it a doctors is now a last resort because they can’t even answer the phone, it continually cuts you off. I’ve rang every day last week and today I’ve rang 12 times each time I got cut off, didn’t go into a queue either. So what now? Pharmacy can’t help online doctor can’t help and walk in centre suggest seeing a doctor. Also not covered on my health plan. Absolute waste of time

Absolute waste of time. Had to fight with these every time to get an inhaler, left me weeks even months without one, I found somewhere online where I now buy them from repeatedly with no issues. After around 2 months of buying them elsewhere this medical practice rang me and tried to explain to me how important it was for me to come in for my inhalers... ironic.. changed doctors and wouldn't recommend these to anyone. Receptionists want to know nothing short of your shoe size and how long your umbilical cord was at time of birth before you can even begin to imagine landing an appointment successfully. Hazard to everybody's health this lot. Out of order and unnecessary.
