I have been taking my kids to Dr Castelvi for 13 years. We remained patients even after moving almost an hour away 10 years ago. We have always enjoyed seeing him but for the last few years we have only seen him once a year for physicals. All other issues we would go to Urgent care as it was impossible to get a sick child appointment same or next day. The practice has just grown too large and the individual centered care has suffered. The last straw was our recent experience with Covid. My children tested positive and the site where the tests were done gave us no information other than to follow up with their pediatrician. I called their office and informed that I was asked to call them to which the staff person replied ā€œFor us to do what exactly? We canā€™t do anything for them hereā€ I was shocked. I definitely did not expect that response from my trusted Drā€™s office. I was transferred to the nurse station to leave a msg. I let them know about my children and about the staff member. I felt so dismissed and left on my own to find more information. 3 days later I received a call from the office manager about my ā€œcomplaintā€ she apologized and sent me a pamphlet with BayCare information on COVID-19. No call from nurse or Dr. After a couple of weeks I called again and was told that the Dr and nurse took my message as an FYI and thatā€™s why I had not received a call. I was very disappointed, I expected more from my pediatrician and his staff. I decided to look for a smaller practice closer to home. When I called the office manager to inform that I was considering changing and would like one last appointment with Dr Castelvi to discuss. she said she would speak to the Dr and either he or she would call me back. A few days later the office manager calls me back to let me know that Dr Castelvi apologizes for not having called but they canā€™t call all of their covid positive patients and heā€™s sad to see us go. Wow...after 13 years. That just confirmed my concerns. I have found a small practice pediatrician much closer to home and had an amazing first appointment. I was NOT expecting too much from a Dr and his staff. There are still practices around that are not too busy to give individual care.

I have been going here for basically my entire life. I should have switched doctors years ago when they became a Baycare office. Ever since, it has only been about moving patients through and charging as much as possible. Dr. Patel rarely even looks up from her laptop during appointments. The office manager is thoroughly unhelpful and if he has to call you about an issue, you can hear the boredom in his voice the second you answer. Iā€™m hopeful pediatrics is still doing well, but the adult care has become terrible. I tried to stay with them because of the comfort factor, but I will never be back.

After speaking with Dr. Patel for less than 10 minutes to go over my annual physical/bloodwork, I was charged $310 ($105 w/insurance) for a visit that was coded as a 99214, which was claimed to have lasted 30-39 minutes. Upon requesting an itemized receipt from BayCare and contacting BCBS did BayCare acknowledge that they had "typed in the wrong billing code." Brian, the office manager, seems to have no interest in providing any customer service. They have now downgraded the charge to a 99213, instead of at most a 99212. Despite having my records clearly indicating that I do not drink alcohol, Dr. Patel recommended that I cut down on my alcohol consumption as part of my treatment options. This experience with BayCare was by far the worst I have had with any medical group, and this billing experience has felt very predatory.

The moment you call youā€™re put on hold, not the brightest front desk people working here. I needed a prior authorization on my medication, itā€™s been a month still not resolved. PAā€™s should never take that long. Every time I call, staff is extremely unprofessional and very condescending when speaking to you and can not handle simple tasks. Before I can even say bye, they hang up the phone. Itā€™s a shame because Nancy Seufert a great Nurse Practitioner, but the people at the front desk are so unbearable. Wouldnā€™t recommend this office to anyone. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Please be aware before you schedule your first appointment! - I did my research and chose to establish my primary care here but was unaware they make you do a ā€œnew patient consultationā€ before you can book an annual physical. The new patient consultation does not count as your annual check up fully covered by insurance and will require a copay or payment according to your insurance. I was unaware of this, but luckily the APRN I saw was able to ā€œcombineā€ the two, therefore counting it as an annual exam. Came in with the intention of getting a physical with no issues so thereā€™s no reason I need to pay a copay and book two separate appointments. Sounds like an opportunity for BayCare to be paid twice by insurance. Regardless, this needs to be clearly communicated to new patients so they can decide to stay or find an easier provider. Also please be aware, contrary to other reviews, they do NOT draw blood on site!

I had issues with shoulder pain and mobility and didnā€™t want to have major surgery. Dr Elder gave me the option of PRP (platelet rich plasma therapy). He is very knowledgeable and he and his staff are efficient and thorough. He provides a one stop approach, with an exam, ultrasound and injection in one visit. My shoulder is repaired and I feel like I can reach out with any other issues. I highly recommend Dr Elder, his staff and PRP. Five stars!!!

Dr. Elder and his staff are the best. They have created a great environment that focuses on putting the patient first. I would highly recommend Dr Elder for anyone needing orthopedic/sports medicine help.

Iā€™ve been trying to get them to take off a double charge (their mistake) for about 7 months now. They charged my insurance twice and want me to pay again. I get forwarded around and nothing happens. Will not be going back.

After confirming your appointment, you show up to your appointment to be told your doctor is not there today. No cancellation call, no heads up, no other doctors available. Donā€™t waste your time.

Dr. Amy Bearison has been wonderful since she started seeing my 2 yo. She recognized his chronic ear infections and recommended us to an ENT to get ear tubes. Her extra time she took with my son has changed our day to day exponentially. He is speaking more & is overall in a much better mood. I also want to shout out Jordan who works in the front desk. My son loves her & I always know if I have a quick question she will get me the correct information in a timely manner. These two make our experience at the pediatrician less stressful & more comfortable for us both.

Horrible horrible experience there. Let me start with the appointment with one of their nurse practitioner first. I was there to get my annual check up done and a referral for my back pain. I was rushed through the whole visit. I didnā€™t get enough time to properly answer the question she asked, then she started to ask the next one. Then is the physical check. When I mentioned that I was having back pain and needed a referral, I was told she need x-ray result to know what is going on(which is understandable). But how could she tell that I have arteriosclerosis by just looking at my lower back without any examination?!(she has x-ray vision?) Then the blood drawing part is a joke too. First I was told they donā€™t have a lab there, so they couldnā€™t do it. Then I was told there was a meeting for them, but it was ok, somehow the nurse practitioner got the nurse out of the meeting. Of course it took nurse three times to try to get my blood even after I said that I had history of difficulty for blood drawing. Of course after the third try, one of the tube still didnā€™t get enough blood. (Also, she never removed tourniquet when getting my blood each time. Correct me if Iā€™m wrong, but Iā€™ve never seen a tourniquet still tighting my arm through the process.) Then I was told that they will call me when the results is outā€¦.ok itā€™s been almost a month since my visit, where is my results? Canā€™t believe this is how health professionals caring for their patient. Definitely donā€™t trust them with my health concerns.

Called to make an apt. The day of the apt I get a courtesy text saying my apt was actually the following day at 2. I literally made the apt wed 10am because on Wednesday I work 12-9 so I wouldnt have made it on Thursday at 2pm. I called immediately and said my apt was the actually day.. the lady that picked up the phone had no clue and said someone would call me back to sort it out. No one ever called me back. I called twice that day and could not get anyone. So unprofessional and rude. I'm not getting free healthcare I pay for it and it's not cheap AT ALL! UP TO NOW NO ONE CALLED ME BACK!!!

If you are seeking adult care, you may want to find a smaller office. I had at least four appointments, to obtain a fairly simple medication refill. Each appointment seemed to be a weird vortex of hassle. It shouldn't be that hard to get a fairly common medicine, for a patient who is in good health.

Amazing manners and knowledgeable professional. Dr. Elder is my fail proof go to Doctor when injuries pop up. As an active person I need an approach that is efficient without slowing me down too much. Keep up the good work. God bless.
