Amazing five star dining experience! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The server was helpful and took time to explain dishes to us. We started off with some Mushroom Blinchiki, Adjaruli Khachpuri, Potato Vareniki, and Khinkali Dumplings. We also tried the Beef Stroganoff and Chicken Kiev. By the way, the mashed potatoes were so delicious... We ordered some to bring home with us. Wonderful food and so much to choose from we can't wait to return. Beautiful atmosphere and decor. This is a must! Please come check this place out. You won't be disappointed! Thanks!

My husband and I have been waiting over a year to come to this restaurant. Let me say it was worth the wait! I am from Russia but grew up in the United States and have never had the opportunity to try Russian/Ukrainian food. Our server was very knowledgeable and patient with us while trying to navigate the menu. The entire staff was friendly. The food was FANTASTIC! We truly enjoyed it and will be back next time we’re in town.

The food was one of the only authentic eastern european places I have found. The service was excellent! Nazar was our server and went out of his way to make the experience was out of this world!

Babushka's is a wonderful up-scale European restaurant in Hyde Park. I am not qualified to say whether or not they are truly "authentic" but the food was absolutely delicious and the place was gorgeous. The cocktails were smooth and the service was impeccable. It felt comfortable and cozy while also elegant. I think they are kid-friendly, as long as you understand it's not a Chili's. The prices might give you that vibe too. I personally wouldn't bring all of my kids here, but one at a time they'd do okay. They are handicap accessible. We spent $90 on lunch for two adults and a kid, and it made for a very nice day date. I'd go again.

This restaurant is not to be missed. Everything we ate was exceptional! I personally have not eaten a lot of Eastern European food, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and the food. The restaurant itself is gorgeous on the inside. They also have a cute covered patio area outside. The food was traditional and tasted great! Their dessert was even better. It is just a great place overall. I can't wait to go back.

This place is amazing! The atmosphere was a chef's kiss and it was very comfortable and clean. You can also see some of the decor here is very Russian/Soviet themed which I found cool. The cups and plates were absolutely adorable. As a Russian person I can say that the food was great - especially the Siberian pelmeni and the Napoleon cake. Our server was very friendly and attentive too! The food came relatively quickly.

Babushkas Hyde Park is a five star experience all around. If you are in the Tampa area and want the Eastern European/Ukrainian/Russian experience, this is the place to go. The food is impeccable. I highly suggest any style of the dumplings and the chicken Kiev, but anything on the menu will leave you satisfied. The Georgian wine (white or red) compliments any dish. The ambiance gives you a cozy Russian/Ukrainian feel. However, you come for the food, but stay because of the staff treatment. I’d personally like to make a shout out to Nazar (Назар). He was extremely pleasant, polite, attentive, and helpful. He had all of the best attributes of an excellent waiter and was extremely helpful in suggesting dishes. Nazar, and the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful, giving a unique and authentic experience to the average American who is worldly enough to tryout Eastern European, Ukrainian, and Russian cuisine and culture. My family and I will most definitely return as soon as possible!

My husband and I had chosen this place to celebrate our six-month anniversary and it became an instant favorite of ours! Excellent, excellent food and service (thank you, Trey!). I recommend their Chicken Kiev and the Honey Cake. It was a night to remember and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Super cute ambiance and the food was delicious! Every single thing we ordered was superb. Our server, Nazar, was extremely helpful with not only picking out the best traditional dishes, but also with explaining how best to enjoy them. The Adjaruli Khachapuri was our favorite - the flavor and preparation was perfect. 10/10 would recommend.

AMAZING. Would give 10 stars if possible. Walked in without reservations and were seated immediately. Beautiful music, authentic decor, cozy patio, ample space. Easy to read menus. Our waiter Nazir was EXCEPTIONAL. My husband had never tried Slavic food before, but I am a native Ukrainian. For both of us, the food was divine. Delicious, hearty portion, perfectly authentic.. each dish was accurate, elegant and flavorful. From the okroshka and borscht at first course, to the plov and shashlik entrees, to the honey cake and tort Napoleon dessert… it flooded me with childhood memories and was the perfect was to introduce my husband to the flavors of my homeland! Nazir, thank you so much for making this the best dining experience we have had all year!!!

My brother invited the family to celebrate Mother’s Day at Babushka’s. They greeted us with a rose for each mom and the atmosphere was enjoyable from the moment we walked in. The food was excellent, every single item we got in including those in the kids menu were delightful, I haven’t experienced this in a while- everything tasted homemade. Highly recommend this restaurant!

One of my new favorite places in Tampa. The food was absolutely amazing and there are a lot of options of Russian and Georgian food. I had the Kyiv chicken and the Georgian bread and finished with a Turkish coffee that was very good. Our server Natiri was super nice and informative, helping picking the best menu items. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Babushka’s really is the heart of Hyde Park. The owner and kitchen staff were all so friendly during our tasting menu experience. The food was sensational, my first time trying caviar, now I understand the hype. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the tomatoes were peeled, attention to detail was incredible. The dessert was something I would never have ordered from a menu, but it was one of the best desserts I’ve gotten from a restaurant, so soft and sweet that ended the meal on a high. The newly revamped menu matches the atmosphere of the restaurant and it was one of the best experiences I have had in Tampa, worthy of the second 5 star review I have given.

We really like it here. We keep coming back. Very tasty food which is new to my palate. Excellent service and wonderful ambience. My wife and daughter had a fantastic brunch item which was salmon on a kind of potato cake with a Benedict egg. Wow. Delish. I ate the lamb kabob (that's not what it's called but that's what it is.) REALLY good.

This was a wonderful experience. I love European comfort food, and have been trying to find a good place to satisfy my cravings. My husband and I ordered two appetizers, two entrees, an alcoholic beverage, and two desserts. Right at $100 for everything. I ordered the beef stroganoff, he got the lamb rack. The beef stroganoff was cooked perfectly, and the lamb dish was absolutely superb. I don't think i could ever go here without ordering one of the different types of dumplings! The atmosphere felt very upscale, but in a rustic, warm way. We had Antonio for our server. He was very polite, and offered our ideal type of service. The restaurant was exceptionally clean. We will absolutely be making the drive back to try other items.

This was really good; definitely a hidden gem. The host at the door was really friendly and accommodating. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The person I was with had the Khachapuri Pie; I tried a bite and it was very good; the ingredients blended together very well and it was very flavor forward. I'll likely order this the next time I come. I order the Chicken Kiev; also very good. The dipping sauce was amazing and worked well with it. The mead was amazing; very flavorful and will likely get again. I've never had mead before, but this was very good. I will be back soon to try more items on the menu and will bring others.

This was my first time trying Russian cuisine! I was very impressed with everything! Our waitress was very friendly and the atmosphere was so well-decorated and themed. All of our food was delicious and I will definitely be coming back one day! 10/10 recommend.

Very nice environment, the food is good, we had typical Russian and Ukrainian food and it was delicious. The food will be served in big nice portions so you can ask for multiple dishes and share with your friends and family, that is what we did to try more.

Excellent and authentic Russian favorites. I tried the piroshki, okroshka, and orange salmon roe from the caviar bar. All wonderful! I took home kotlety, salad oliver, and creamy mushroom soup. I also had kompot and a pot of czar Nicholas II tea. The tea was very flavorful! 10/10 will be back!

Brunch was fantastic! Our server was very attentive and the food was great! We also had the dumplings but we ate them too fast to take a picture. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back.

Amazing restaurant. The menu is actual authentic food, not some Americanized version of things. Everything was delicious. The portions were large. The staff was kind and helpful. The decor was inviting and unique. Come with friends so you can order more food and try more dishes!

I came in around 3pm on a weekday so it was very quiet and the waitress was super attentive. She made a recommendation to try the grilled lamb skewer. It was good, I would definitely like to try other menu items in the future. The unique menu definitely has many things to try.

What a Gem!!! We went somewhere previous where it was so loud that we could not talk & we not only wanted a fabulous meal but a place with ambiance- This was the place! We had Brendan as our server. There were 2 of us. We shared a Red Georgian Flight of wine, Beef Blinchiki, Olivier Salad, Adjaruli Khachapuri & the Sauerkraut Vareniki.. There was live acoustic mellow music in the background at just the correct volume. Our server was very helpful in recommendations also very personable. The place is cute/quaint, nicely decorated with Eastern European charm. They even have a small nook outside to sit. The food was sooooooo good! We just shared the appetizers & salad but will come back for entrees... too much sounded & looked too good but we were full! Definitely recommend:)

I think the vibe and customer service was fantastic! The food was good. I would like to go back and try more. The honey cake was sooo good! I also enjoyed the option of a fresh virgin mojito. The grilled chicken was tasty.

Came here for a girls’ dinner. Ordered some dumplings, beef straganoff and lamb with rice. The dough for the dumplings were too thick for my liking. Overall the foods were ok, I preferred the one in Temple Terrace. Service was good, the server was very attentive. Parking is behind the restaurant that’s not paved, on an empty lot. So keep that in mind if you’re wearing heels.
