This place is amazing! I stopped in Tampa for a single night and decided to try this place. It's the best Asian fusion food I've ever had. The Chili Calamari was PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned! The Beef Bao was fresh and flavorful, the Pad Thai was the best I've ever had. (Don't skip squeezing the Lime out) The Pork Ramen was as good as what I had when stationed in Japan for a year. The noodles were chewy, the broth a mellow vegetable miso that paired well and the pork itself was a heavenly and tender flavor-bomb. The Kirin on tap is never a bad choice and the imported Japanese coffee was a bit pricey but worth it if you have never tried it before. I got it as a way to reminisce a bit of my time overseas, but the whole experience was exactly like my favorite bar in Iwakuni without the slight language barrier.

Wagamama in Tampa unfolds as a narrative where the simplicity of flavors and the charm of ambiance weave a tale that, while not extravagant, is comfortingly familiar and welcoming. Service 🙋‍♂️ Our evening was graced by Veronica, a beacon of warmth and joviality. Every smile, each recommendation, was infused with a sincerity that transformed a routine dining experience into a convivial gathering. As Kyle, with the audacity of a seasoned gastronome, ventured into the “girliest” drink on the menu, Veronica’s laughter mingled with ours, echoing the camaraderie that defines the essence of Wagamama. Decor 🎨 The ambiance, akin to a well-composed sonnet, is pleasing yet familiar. It’s the comforting embrace of a narrative retold, where every corner, every hue, resonates with the signature Wagamama aesthetic. Modern yet unassuming, the decor doesn’t transcend expectations but nestles comfortably within them, offering a backdrop where conversations and laughter take center stage. Food 🍽️ The culinary offerings, much like the decor, are a sonorous echo of familiarity. My salad was a symphony of crisp textures and fresh flavors, each bite a harmonious blend yet not a revelation. The bang bang cauliflower, a melody of spices and tenderness, and the assorted entrees, crafted with skill, satiated not just the palate but the soul. Yet, in this satisfying melody, the crescendo of astonishment was amiss. Each dish was a testament to Wagamama’s consistent quality - a journey through well-trodden paths where surprises are scarce but satisfaction is guaranteed. In Retrospect 🤔 Wagamama, with its unpretentious charm and consistent offerings, emerges as a sanctuary where the soul finds solace in the familiar, and the palate is greeted with the well-loved flavors that have defined the brand. It’s not a tale of culinary adventures or aesthetic revelations but a narrative of consistency, quality, and the warmth of shared laughter. Final Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - “Good” “A Symphony of Familiar Tunes in a World Constantly Seeking the Novel.” Wagamama is not the odyssey into the unexplored but the comforting lullaby that lulls the senses into a contented sigh. In the heart of Tampa, amidst the cacophony of innovations and extravagance, it stands as a testament to the enduring allure of the familiar, the consistent, and the shared laughter that turns a meal into a memory. 🌟🍲💬

In all the reviews I’ve read , why has no one mentioned that this place has no air conditioning?!!!! Our waitress told us it hasn’t worked since they opened ! Needless to say we nearly left but did end up Staying as we fanned ourselves throughout our meal with the menu!! Most of the seats are low square stools and are not comfortable. Tables are super close together as well. Food was mediocre at best. Each item came out one at a time so we were all eating our meals at different times. I was nearly finished when my husband finally got his entree. Portions are average to on the small side. It was not very crowded ( maybe ppl knew about the AC problem?). Absolutely no rush to go back here. Lots of other options in the Water St. / Sparkman Wharf area to choose from. Sorry Wagamama :(

Food was great, recommend #22 on the menu. Everyone loved what they ordered. Ate outside during sunset, everything was great! The only small suggestion we have is to get higher chairs for the outdoor seating they were low in comparison to the table.

Dined here twice and both times we received excellent service, food was delicious and cocktails were very good! Had the best calamari here, highly recommend! Would come back here for apps, cocktails and ambiance! Thank you wonderful staff!

I actually ordered through DoorDash and the food arrived almost cold and as much as I intended to leave a bad review, once I heated it up… SO GOOD! Y’all are DANGEROUS! Now I do have 1 gripe, I ordered the lemon tart… Y’all are so wrong for charging $11 for that little bit of nothing (pics below). 5/5 on flavor 2/5 delivery. 2/5 on dessert.

First time trying it and everything was amazing! We got the fried pork appetizer, the mushroom boa buns, beef ramen and duck ramen. The duck was so tender and delicious! Also the Japanese highball cocktail and the sake flight was refreshing! Would definitely come back here for some good ramen!

Cocktail took longer than 20 mins and another 20 mins to get my entree Server kept forgetting my order. The food was ok. Not great Ramen noodles soup served to me in room temperature. Blossom cocktail with a tiny glass is 13$. ? I had to order Vodka straight to add on because I didn't taste the alcohol at all. I won't come back. I recommend everyone should try and you'll understand
