Roach
infested
upon
move-in.
Bell
Management
doesn’t
care
and
won’t
compensate.
On
the
night
of
October
20th
when
moving
in,
I
counted
15
roaches
in
our
kitchen
alone
within
just
a
minute
of
walking
around.
We
then
walked
into
the
bedrooms
and
found
multiple
roaches
in
both
of
our
bedrooms,
as
well
as
in
my
bathtub
drain.
A
roach
fell
right
onto
my
fingers
when
I
opened
the
door
to
the
patio.
We
took
all
our
luggage
out
of
the
apartment
and
I
did
a
thorough
wipe
down
of
each
of
my
hung
shirts
before
re-packing
them
and
leaving.
We
also
cancelled
our
furniture
shipment
for
that
next
day.
The
next
day
first
thing
in
the
morning
we
called
up
Bell
to
have
our
place
exterminated.
After
many
phone
calls
later
and
persistence,
Bell
had
pest
control
come
Tuesday
and
Friday.
I
was
contemplating
not
moving
into
this
unit
all
together.
However,
on
Saturday,
October
28th
after
the
second
spraying,
we
checked
out
the
place
and
it
seemed
okay
enough
to
move
in.
Despite
it
looking
like
a
roach
massacre
in
our
apartment,
no
more
than
a
few
were
still
alive.
However
when
I
opened
my
bathroom
cabinet
to
start
putting
in
toiletries,
a
roach
crawled
out.
I
decided
to
clean
out
the
cabinet
before
putting
in
my
toiletries,
and
the
paper
towel
was
filled
with
roach
poop-
tons
of
black
specs.
And
to
think
I
almost
put
my
contact
case
and
toothbrush
in
this
drawer-
yuck.
Later
on
I
noticed
that
some
of
the
kitchen
cabinets
were
the
same
way-
I
sanitized
and
my
paper
towels
were
covered
with
roach
poop
and
dead
roaches.
This
unit
was
not
move
in
ready.
Although
it
was
a
terrible
first
impression
of
living
here,
I
was
willing
to
completely
let
it
go
because
it
was
handled.
I
just
asked
that
Bell
Management
abided
by
the
lease
and
took
those
8
days
of
us
not
living
there
off
the
lease
so
we
didn’t
have
to
pay
for
those
days.
It
is
clearly
stated
in
the
lease
agreement
that
rent
shall
be
abated
if
you
cannot
live
in
your
unit
due
to
a
roach
infestation,
so
I
thought
it
was
a
no-brainer
that
they
would
do
this
for
us.
We
shouldn’t
even
have
had
to
ask
them
to
do
this.
They
got
back
to
us,
refusing
to
compensate
and
stated
the
reason
being
is
that
they
handled
the
problem
in
a
timely
manner
and
need
to
practice
fair
housing.
It
is
aggravating
that
Bell
is
trying
to
screw
us
over
and
is
denying
the
issue.
I
am
now
filing
a
lawsuit
against
Bell
for
breach
of
contract
and
withholding
our
money.
