Shifu and Coach Megan have a real talent for teaching. They are so knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming. I signed up with no previous experience in Martial Arts and it has been so much fun learning from them. It’s also a great way to get in shape. Please consider this school if you’re interested in practicing Martial Arts.

Mt. Song Martial Arts Academy is an excellent school to learn authentic Kung Fu and Tai Chi. The time I have spent there learning Tai Chi has been an excellent investment for my overall health and sense of well being. Shi Fu Salazar and the other instructors are excellent teachers and individuals. The students are friendly. Everyone there is very supportive of each other. I highly recommend it!

I love this school. Great trainers and friendly environment for both beginners and advanced participants. I've visited a few schools and I like the energy and detail that Mt. Song has to offer. It's really hard to find a good traditional school. Keep it up Mt. Song!

This place is pretty great. My wife thought I was crazy when I told her that I wanted my son to learn Kung Fu, not taekwondo or karate. I also told her I wanted the instructor to have real experience with mixed martial arts and professional fighting. Then I told her I wish it was set up in a warehouse with roll-up doors kind of like some CrossFit places, not in some stankled dungeon like a lot of martial arts classes... Well guess what I got everything I wanted and she can't believe it. My son loves it.

It's very fun and Shifu and Coach Megan are great teachers. It really helps you get in shape and you have fun doing it. Everyone is very nice and helpful. If you want to practice martial arts, Mt Song is the place to go.

My 3 children attend mt song martial arts. Both Shi fu and Coach Megan have so much talent and are teaching the kids the type of kung fu you cannot find anywhere else in tampa. They are learning awesome skills, strength, confidence and discipline.

Shifu Salazar and Coach Megan are phenomenal teachers and endless fountains of knowledge. With how many different schools there are it can be hard to choose one, but if you want to learn authentic kung-fu, tai chi, and/or sanda, there is no better place.

I was brand new to martial arts and very nervous about what to expect during my first class - I wasn't sure how to start so I just showed up one day - but everyone was so positive and welcoming that my anxieties quickly melted away. Shifu and Coach Megan are masterful in both their own practice and in their demonstrative teaching of Kung Fu skills and techniques. They also care deeply about the history of the discipline and share the significance of the traditions in modern practice. The classes span the skill spectrum so that everyone from first-day beginners to advanced students feel included and challenged. The school also offers the option of student participation in competitions, public demonstrations, and even traditional lion dances for New Years celebrations and private ceremonies. I spent a long time researching martial arts and schools in the Tampa area and I'm so excited to have chosen Mt. Song.
