I will start by saying that I have waited a long time to try Malio’s. I made reservations last week and took the only slot available at that time which was 8pm. Reservation was for my 23rd wedding anniversary. On the day of the reservation I checked Open Table to see if there was an earlier slot and it was now wide open. Everything from 6pm to 8pm was now open so I chose an earlier appointment reservation of 7pm. When we arrived we were greeted by the front host. He wasn’t very friendly. We sat up top and were seated at a weird little table that partially stuck out in the aisle. There were at least 20-30 open empty tables. After a few minutes we asked our server if we can to be moved to a different table, a booth preferably and we were accommodated. Appetizer was not good at all and the bread was not tasty. Appetizer was not hot and barely Luke warm. The saving grace was that the steak, mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach were really good. We tried the bernaise sauce and brown pepper sauce which to my surprise was full of big peppercorns. It was really hot, ridiculously hot, would not recommend that sauce. Our server didn’t go over the menu with us, tell us what the house specials were or recommend any dishes. Didn’t go over the wine menu either. He basically said what do you want. It was our first visit and we would have appreciated a more helpful server. We will not return for all of the reasons previously mentioned.

For a special occasion, we decided to dine at Malio's, and it was an experience we won't forget. We reserved a private room for a friend's birthday dinner, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that everyone was comfortable and orders were taken promptly. The birthday lady arrived early, but the staff was quick to help us rearrange the surprise, and we had a fantastic time. The private room was exceptional, and we were able to set up a slideshow and play our music, making it an unforgettable evening. The main restaurant's ambiance was equally impressive, with low-light settings and a variety of table options, making it perfect for a date night or celebratory dinner. The highlight of our evening was undoubtedly the food. My sister and I usually share our meals, and the waitress went out of her way to ensure that everything was served split on individual plates when it came out. We were very impressed with her attentiveness and service. We started with the Oysters on the Half Shell, which were fresh and delicious. I ordered the 8oz Prime Main Filet, and it was cooked to perfection, making me very happy. The Smoked Gouda Macaroni and Cheese were incredibly flavorful, and the Spinach was equally yummy. We were so full that we had to take the leftovers home. Overall, Malio's is a fantastic fine dining experience that is worth every penny. The food, service, and ambiance are all top-notch, making it an excellent choice for a special occasion or a romantic night out.

Was here with a very large group so I was not surprised that my Delmonico steak was cooked a little too much the first time but they immediately brought out another one that was perfect (blue with a cold center). The servers were excellent and very efficient in their timing of all the courses. It was a great experience with a group of 20+. Awesome dessert menu!

Absolutely must visit. Best customer service we have experienced in quite some time. The food? Top notch. This place knows what fine food is and understands the importance of a happy customer (in our case family). Our server had a great personality and disposition. A must if you are visiting downtown Tampa.

We had a reservation and even though we arrived a little bit early they were able to seat us right away at a quaint table facing the water. The service was fantastic and the drinks were great. The charcuterie board was delicious especially with the fresh bread that had a hint of garlic. We ordered the nightly special of the steak and lobster and had it split. I forgot to get a picture when they first brought it out because the presentation was great. The steak was cooked to our liking and the lobster was delicious as well.

I recently dined at Malios, and the overall experience was quite pleasant. The atmosphere and location were simply delightful, setting the perfect stage for a memorable evening. The service, I must say, was outstanding, demonstrating a high level of professionalism. On the other hand, while the food wasn't exceptional, it certainly wasn't bad. It may not have reached the same level of excellence as the atmosphere and service, but it's worth a visit if you're looking for a charming dining experience.

Hosted a large party at Malio's Steakhouse and had a really great experience. We had several appetizers, mains and sides and everyone loved all the food. First, started with the escargot, meatballs, oysters, and shrimp. All were really great, the escargot and meatballs in particular were super tasty. I had the Lamb Chops... awesome! Cooked perfectly with a nice crust and super flavorful center. Overall Malio's steakhouse was a true 5 start experience. All the food, drinks and service was fantastic. If you're in town whether for work or pleasure, make sure to stop by!

My husband and I went to celebrate our birthday. The music was wonderful. They played El Debarge, Micheal Jackson, Luther Vandross, AL Green, Sade, and many other greats. The waitress was nice and quick to respond but a little cold. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what. She brought out a lovely brownie for our birthdays but another table was celebrating a birthday and they had a candle on theirs. We did not. The food was good but I wasn't a fan of the smoked gouda Mac and Cheese and my steak had quite a bit of fat on it. It had a good taste but I had to remove maybe a quarter of it for the fat. I'm not sure if I'll return. I like Bern's much better for the price point.

MY BIRTHDAY 🎂!! All my years of wonder, what's in the round building? I found out, finally and was impressed!!!. The atmosphere was lovely, and beautiful marble everywear. We arrived on time, even with a little confusing entrance for under ground parking. Parking attendant was helpful, along with my 93 year old mom (her birthday too)we started our night. My daughter made reservations, table was right up front, that was surprisingly noisy but beautiful place ,I felt special because of the company and the atmosphere. But we had a 35 minute wait for food, wine selection very nice, mushroom soup highly recommended. The steak was EXCELLENT! Lamb was tender, meatballs was ok. Birthday brownie was a nice touch, thank you. It was busy, so be prepared to wait a little, pricey but worth it.Manager came over, introduced herself and assisted with pictures.Had a beautiful birthday😊😊🥳❤

Will return!! This was our first experience and not our last. The drinks, food, and vibe were great. Customer service was great, we have no complaints. I am glad we decided to go, after reading the reviews we were on the fence about it. We had a 6 pm reservation but we wanted to experience their Happy Hour so, we sat at the bar for about 20 minutes. They do not offer the Happy Hour menu in the main dining room. The drinks were amazing. I had the Slane Old Fashioned and my husband had the Tennessee Lemonade and the 1738 Sidecar. He enjoyed both. We enjoyed the bread while waiting for our food. I had the Crab Cakes, my husband had the 6oz Prime Petit Filet and we shared the Smoked Gouda Macaroni & Cheese and Creamed Spinach. The Crab Cakes were very meaty and well-seasoned. My husband really enjoyed the steak, he said it was well-seasoned and he did not need any sauce. The tenderness was just right for a well-done steak. We definitely enjoyed our experience and we recommend it.

Had an amazing experience for my best friends birthday. We were a party of 14 & were accommodated perfectly. 20% gratuity is included which is no surprise for a large group. Drinks were poured properly & the food was top notch to say the least. Will definitely visit again. I recommend the cowboy steak & make sure you get the broccoli & mac n cheese.

The steak was very good and tender even though the outside was a bit charred (partially my fault for asking it be medium-well) and there wasn't enough butter topping. The waitress was training someone so service was a bit slower but the manager made sure to come by and check on us, as well as an older elegant woman who was very much concerned about only the steak and if it was up to my standards. She was very accommodating when I asked for more herb butter topping for the steak. The very elegant atmosphere and quality of meat and ingredients is what got this place 5 stars. The shrimp and the linguine in the pasta de mare was excellent as well. The brownie ice cream dessert took about 20 minutes to come out and was not that impressive so I'd forgo it next time.

Steak was prepared perfectly. The bone in is Dry aged not sure it’s advertised. But I for sure got that flavor. Side dishes were plenty tasty. Very good port finish. Thank you

My husband and I had the 22oz. Delmonico cooked Pittsburgh, medium rare and it was to die for! Delicious flavor and cooked to perfection. We also had the Chilean sea bass which was just ok. Our side was the jalapeño creamed corn and it was good, not great. We had oysters on the half shell and beef carpaccio, both were fantastic. The bread was basic, run of the mill Sysco bread with whipped butter, nothing special. The wine list is okay, but not suitable for wine snobs, which we may be. Service was good and friendly but not fine dining level. With all the steakhouse choices in the area, we will skip it next time.

All I can say is WOW! One of the best filets I’ve ever had, the pre entree bread was 100% the best we’ve had, the drinks were made perfectly, the wait staff was absolutely phenomenal. Never been to a more efficient and on top of their game restaurant. No waiting for water refills, all food came right out, desert was very quick as well. I really can’t say enough about Malio’s. If you’re looking for an incredible dinning experience this is the place to go. John and Courtney, our wait staff, was on their game and super friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and will be back.

Wow! What a dinner! My friend and i were in town from Orlando and googled steak houses near us. Malio’s popped up. After reading the reviews, i decided to call them to see if they can fit us in last minute on a Saturday night. The hostess gladly got us a table in the bar area, which i was super surprised. Needless to say the food was phenomenal. One of the best meals i have ever had. Everything from the table bread to the dessert was incredible. The steak you could cut with a spoon. My favorite dish (besides the steak) was the potato Malio. MUST TRY! Also the chocolate cake for dessert was literally to die for. Thank you Malio’s! We will definitely be back and i will spread the good word!

Our family of four walked on the River Walk and we got hungry. We stopped by Malio's and were able to get a table without reservation. The restaurant was packed but we got our foods quick. The steak is decent. I love their lobster escargot.

We decided to eat outside and it has potential but at least the day we went it left much to be desired. We’ve sat inside before and the vibe is usually spot on indoors but we wanted to try outdoors and it wasn’t the same. It definitely has potential… a little music would go a long way. The food and service as always was good, no complaints there.

I guess if you want a good steak you got to bring more people with you. When the bar is full and you're just a party of one I guess you can eat somewhere else. All I wanted was a really good steak had great reviews for it. After all it was my birthday. So if you're out of town all by yourself might as well go to those sketchy restaurants close by.

All the food was wonderful. We had crab cakes, tuna tartare, and mussels. Fabulous espresso martini and desserts too. Justin was a great server, even if he did give me a midlife crisis by not knowing who Alanis Morissette is.

We were staying at a hotel on the Riverwalk, so we decided to wander down the path to Malios. Google Maps made it seem like it was right off the walk, but it was a little hard to find at first. It's also located within a building. We went online to try and reserve a table, but it said there were no reservations available between 1:30pm and 9pm. We decided to go anyways since we always seem to find a spot at the bar. We walked in, and it was very classy. Empty but classy. We sat at the bar and had a cocktail and soup. My lemoncello martini was absolutely the most excellently made and brilliant tasting cocktail I've had. Delicious We decided to get soup... I know it sounds lame but I was craving French onion soup. My husband had the tomato bisque. His arrived lukewarm, which disappointed him. It had excellent flavor, but he wished it was hot. Mine, on the other hand, was steaming hot. Mine was slightly too salty, but it hit the spot. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The price for our 2 drinks and 2 soups came close to $70. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Malio's was Excellent! Everything from the appetizers to the main course to the dessert!! I ordered the 10oz Filet Center Cut steak. It was the BEST steak I have every had at a restaurant. There are some very famous Steak restaurants in Tampa and I have dined at all them. The cuisine at Malio's was phenomenal! There were 12 people in my party and all agreed that their steak was probably the best they've ever had at a restaurant. I hope to come back when I am not on business so I can treat my wife to Malio's. You will not be disappointed!!

Excellent! Stared with the lemoncello martini which was delicious! Service from the moment we even walked in was impeccable. Hostess so nice and the waitress, servers all always smiling, so sweet! Now food delicious. Mouth watering, starting with the incredible bread. French onion soup, Caesar salad, tuna steak dinner, petite filet mignon, baked potato and broccoli…….incredibly good! Wish this restaurant was by us at home! Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant! Even walking to the garage another staff member joined the elevator with us and was so sweet. Asked us how our dinner was and just was incredibly kind. Will definitely be back during our next Tampa visit!

Food was delicious, the service was on point. The atmosphere was amazing! Date night was successful.

Our steaks were the BEST! As was our server! I give four stars because the bar area was so loud. And we were seated in a separate room. There were people literally screaming at each other at the bar. It kind of diminishes the class. But the food was absolutely delicious and worth the price.

Malio’s has an amazing happy hour! The food and drinks were delicious and we’ll worth the price! We have only had the opportunity to sit inside, due to the insanely hot weather. Inside is darker, and the vibe is much older and more date night. Even during a sunny day, it is quite dark inside. The outside however is a patio right off the river and is beautiful however, quite unbearable during the extreme hot days. Waiting to try it on a cooler day because it is truly scenic. Overall, definitely recommend their happy hour!

A hidden gem of sorts inside Tampa's beer can building. Valet parking available on Ashley; but parking on Madison is a safe bet. Great wine selection, cocktails are made to order. Recommend: steak tips or the steakhouse salad. Try the French onion soup. Superb service by Marissa

Best bartender in town! Pete has fantastic customer service. Pays attention to each person at the bar. Food is also fabulous. I had the blue cheese burger... yum

The best birthday experience. We made reservations for 8 but they were packed so we didn’t eat until 9. As we waited, we relaxed and enjoyed the music at the patio. When they called us they gave me a private room to make up for the long wait. The staff was fantastic and really did a great job and was so nice. The food was SCRUMPTIOUS and the drinks were DELICIOUS. Best birthday dinner so far!!!

I have visited this marvelous restaurant on 5 separate occasions in the last 4 years and each time I have had the most extraordinary experience. This place offers amazing steaks, the freshest seafood, accompanied by a selection of over 200 wines and a full bar, along with unparalleled service and ambience. Last time I visited for my husband's birthday, we ordered French Onion Soup Au Gratin, The Wedge and Caesar salads as appetizers. As a main course I opted in for Chilean Sea Bass with shrimp which was fantastic. My husband and our 2 boys absolutely loved their 8oz Prime Main Filet with a lobster tail. Our choice of side dishes were: Lobster Macaroni and Cheese, Grilled Asparagus, Baby Portobello Mushrooms and Baked potato. Our mixed drinks also were so gooooood! Dessert didn't disappoint either. This place is pricey, but worth every penny as this is a perfect place for a birthday, anniversary or any sort of celebration. If you like to dress up and feel beautiful - this is an ideal spot for you. I highly recommend this terrific restaurant!!!
