Now this is what I call Chinese takeout. It was some of the best I ever had. The orange chicken was insanely crispy I 10/1 recommend getting it. Everything else tasted like good Chinese food, it was really the chicken that blew us away. But we got a ton of food that lasted us days. Almost considered coming back for dinner the next day if we didn’t have so much left over. It was a convenient spot too in downtown Tampa when we were staying in the Hyatt. In fact, it seemed like it was the only place even opened later or at all.

First plate had a piece of hair in it. Exchanged it out they were very kind about it but the food tasted old and the chicken looked like 2 week old left over and taste with no flavor. I hate leaving a bad review but the food was not fresh. Nice workers but needs maybe to cook to order 🤔.

Tony made me FRESH Sushi to die for! I had a spicy shrimp roll, and it was the freshest and dare, I say, most delicious sushi I've had! Bernard is a great, attentive professional, and so friendly; it was a pleasure being helped by him. Xue and Danny are very kind and attentive to each and every customer. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone 😋 (my kiddo had the sweet and sour chicken and lo mein; they thoroughly enjoyed their meal!)

Stopped here for lunch today. We don’t eat meat so we asked if they could make sesame tofu. It was delicious. Huge portion sizes and very very friendly staff, especially Bernard. Def will be going back! The rice and veggie egg roll were very good as well!

Ordered the General Tsos chicken, dumplings, and chicken low mein. The general tsos chicken appeared to be just flavored bread crumbs, we could not find any chicken. The chicken lo mein had no flavor to it and the chicken was a strange consistency. The dumplings were decent though. It wasn’t the worst chinese food on the planet but I do not plan on coming back.

I went with my friend last night and we ordered beef broccoli shrimp, egg roll fried cheese wonton and shrimp fried rice. We sat there to eat a little before leaving, my friend immediately said something is up with the rice. I tasted mine wasn’t fond of the way the beef tasted and it was loaded with grease. By the time we got home 10 mins my stomach had shooting pain. I was so so hungry I still tried to eat some and it was loaded with sodium and grease!!! The broccoli was soggy and the beef I’m not sure what it was, it had a weird texture meat was very chewy and I couldn’t swallow it. $35 worth of food went straight to the trash. This morning waking up my stomach is cramping I’m running back and forth to the bathroom. I would give 0 stars if I could. Not sure how this place is in business.

Went here for a quick grab and go lunch. It was $8.25 and you get fried rice or noodles with 2 items. I had the General Tso Chicken and Bourbon Chicken. Both were very tasty. The price was reasonable and the portion of the food was generous. The staff member was also very friendly. Would recommend if you need a quick and cheap Chinese food lunch in downtown Tampa area.

The food was fine, just ok level. Chicken rice soup was good, but Sashimi wasn't that great... but not that surprised. What I wasn't satisfied with was cashiers--seemed like they really don't care about customers. The owner/chef looked nice and a bit more kind, though. Overall, I would not recommend it. If you're super craving some Asian dishes and have no other options, maybe this place would be a decent choice, though.

I come here for lunch. The food and service is great! They had messed up on one of my orders and replaced it 2 weeks later. Very reasonable. I recommend!

Quite literally one of the worst Chinese restaurants I've been to in my one year in Tampa. On par with another horrible Chinese place in Brandon. Don't recommend this place. While I won't be coming back here, I can say the people were nice. But what good is that when your food is bad?

I got the lunch special and the only good thing was price and fried rice. The orange chicken tasted old, hard and cold. I’d go else where if you are looking for protein

I was in town for work and most restaurants were closed but so thankful Oriental Express was open for dinner. Enjoyed the hot and sour soup along with chicken with vegetables. Food was very good and service was wonderful!! I will definitely be back when in town again.

Cheap Chinese. Make sure your food is freshly made. They will take it out of the buffet and throw it into a box. It'll do in a pinch.

This place only get 2 stars because the friendliness of the staff and portion size. It's average price. The sesame chicken was just fried chicken dipped in sweet and sour. The beef and broccoli and shrimp had a weird smell to it that my kids commented on while I was contemplating putting it in my mouth because the smell. Definitely not worth you time or money. You've been warned.

I came to visit Tampa from wpb, and I absolutely loved it! The food was excellent, the staff are very kind, and they made the food so fresh. If you’re craving asian food, I would highly recommend Oriental Express. Thank you Oriental Express, you were amazing!! TRY THE SPARE RIBS (with bone), you won’t regret it!
