Local public park. Has many historical markers around the park and surrounding areas. Park is clean and we'll laid out. Nice open area. About 1 block away from the corrupt sheriff's office.Main attraction to the park are the local residents which are free range chickens. (Don't feed them) public restrooms on in the patk. Lighting in the evening is fair. Would recommend this as a spot to visit.

This is where you will find those celebrated chickens roaming free. If you are driving you will probably first encounter them crossing the street in front of you too! If you ever wondered what the answer was to "Why did the chicken cross the road" - you now know it was to get to Centennial Park. It is a nice shady spot to relax and take pictures. The shop and huge restaurant was not open while I was there. I missed the Sat market, but I was able to a 2 hour free parking spot on the street. During one Saturday afternoon I did notice one homeless person sleeping in the middle of the sidewalk in his bedroll in the shade. There were a few others clustered around talking elsewhere, but they will not bother you.

Cigar Heritage Festival at Centennial Park. It was very crowded but with a great ambiance, cigar lovers everywhere smoking their purchases. A beautiful well mantained park, centrally located and near many great restaurants in Ybor City.

Nice and quiet. Plenty of places to sit and watch the chickens. Not a lot of nature but then it's in the middle of the city. The Saturday Market they have there is super fun.

This is a lovely walled garden with seating adjacent to the Ybor State Museum. It's cozy, home to wild chickens and abundant in unique Ybor atmosphere

Basically a big courtyard full of benches and chickens. Wouldn't call it a "park" really. There was also a crazy guy there who wanted to fight people. Not impressive and won't go there again.

Centennial park was super fun. Lots of vendors for the saturday market. The wild chickens were a great site and great learning time for the kids. The chickens are protected so no petting,no chasing,no feeding, just fun too look at. All the babies were so adorable!

Good selection of shops and restaurants. Also chickens roaming in park and surrounding area. Was told they roam free and are descendents of original chickens over hundred years ago.

Visited during the weekDAY and found it almost deserted except for a few obviously homeless folks. My wife & I guessed it *may* be a homeless throw-down area at night, but a nice park with its "Immigration Statue" featuring a Cuban / Latino family coming into Ybor. It can get pretty hot and muggy when the air is still, and PLEASE! - do not molest the chickens. They are protected in Ybor City, so don't let your kids or dogs chase them.

Beautiful area, I am there every Saturday for the TOWN MARKET. It is huge, like over 75 vendors and a lot, lot of people. Just 1 street over from the main strip of Ybor. Fun, good food, pretty handcrafted jewerly, book authors, essential oils, and herbs fruit based hot sauces.. Mild Mango is my favorite, but the spicy pineapple was great, too, from Basic Roots Homestead.. ohhh, the Peach... man, that was good.

Pleasant surprise! Tons of Roosters with a flock of chick's. These feathery fellows & gals cross the street & sing songs for you before they depart.

Very nice, well maintained park. Close to everything. Could be a pleasant walk before your lunch/dinner at a nearby world class restaurant. Just one problem: very difficult to choose one.

I love parks, and Centennial Park is no exception. It was clean with lots of places to sit. There are a few interesting things to see. This in also an interesting part of town to just walk around and take in the sights.

The park is very well maintained! It's clean, pleasant to be around, has roosters running around which is always a fun treat, and a beautiful place to be when the weather is nice. Take a look into the history of why the roosters run around there, it's pretty funny and quite interesting!

The Cuban Sandwich festival sucked. We had to walk and walk to find a vendor selling Cuban Sandwiches and instead of having them preassembled, we had to wait 15 mins for the sandwich to be put together. Had to find a vendor with anything other than water or lemonade plus we werenot allowed into the park area where seats were without buying ticket. Ridiculous. Will never go again!

Love their Saturday market! It's got crafts and produce. Got an regular avocado for $1 while those cost $2.99 each at Publix!

Fun watching the chickens. A bit of trash. There were a few people yelling at each other in the park when we were there.

Wonderful time at Ybor Cuban Sandwich festival 2023. Park was a throwback to Havana, Cuba in the '50s. Fantastic mambo band live. Crowd dancing. Cuban, Spanish, Mexican and Puerto Rico food. One of many cultural festivals in this park all year. Highly recommend.

I love the wild chickens 🐔 in Ybor City they are always fun to have for company i wouldn't recommend feeding the city protected chickens of Ybor City but locals don't seem to mind great atmosphere a couple beggars here and there but no problems unless you come there after dark 😄

This is a wide open space in the center of Ybor City. The name, "park" is misleading as there is very little grass and no amenities, such as slide, swings, etc.. the space is good for events and does have plenty of chickens and roosters.

  • 5/5 Jessica A. H. 4 years ago on Google
All of the free range roosters and music is definitely a nice touch. Thank you. The Macarena song skips though. It is still the only place to plug in your phone outside in Tampa too. Thanks again.

  • 1/5 d m. 3 years ago on Google
The park is interesting in that it has free roaming chickens but is not in good repair, has a number of dead palm trees with questionable people hanging out in the park

  • 4/5 Tracie J. 3 years ago on Google
We went for the Saturday Market...I wasn't to impressed with the market but the space was really pretty and I loved all chickens and rosters everywhere!
