This park is a welcome spot to walk, jog or to sit riverside to relax & enjoy the peace & quiet. The park struggles with some litter at times. I bring a bag with me to pick up litter as I navigate around the park. Hope others will do the same to help keep this hidden gem serene & clean. Overall it is a great park.

Beautiful green park, located right next to the zoo and a river. Many walking trails, picnic areas, and a playground. Hundreds of squirrels and some gees in the park. There's also a water taxi access. Parking is free and there's no charge to access the park. Lots of people walking their dogs, very pleasant experience. I recommend this park!

A lovely, peaceful and beautiful park centrally located in Tampa to have a special occasion (gender reveal, birthday, family/corporate picnic, etc). This is a place park and clean. Also, they have plenty of parking.

One of the most beautiful places to walk and spend time to contemplate nature 🍃 There is no doubt that on the other side of the park there is a marina. But the bathrooms need to be clean😞

This post is a 3.5 ⭐️s NOT 4 Amazing recreational area which seems more like a “hit or miss”: - Outstanding place to connect with nature, breathe fresh air, and unwinding from the city’s hustle and bustle. - The park features boat / kayak launching ramp, yet the existing boardwalks have been closed to the public due to lack of maintenance/repair/reconstruction. This, in turn, has STOPPED the water taxi route that used to bring people over to Lowry Zoo I assume. WHAT A BUMMER! - The cleanliness is also a hit or miss throughout the park; restrooms are clean though and it does stand out. I would like, THOUGH, to see MORE TRASH CANS as some areas are collecting cigarette butts, plastic bottles, wrappers of all kinds and what not. - Paved trails sprawl through the park, mostly under cooling shades and soothing paths. Regardless of the downsides it definitely is a place you would want to visit.

This is a small but very nice park. There is no admission to this park. There is plenty of parking available. There is nice paved trail that takes one around the park. Part of this trail is located alongside the Hillsborough River. There are many shelters in the park and can be reserved for parties if needed. There is also children play area. The paved trail can be used by pedestrians and cyclist. There are also 2 short boardwalks that offer beautiful view of river. One can also experience some wildlifes. Further there is also boat launch area that provide access to Hillsborough River. ZooTampa is located just beside this park but ZooTampa requires ticket to enter.

Blue Chip Maintenance, LLC, Held the annual Family Christmas party here & it was an excellent choice for such an event. It was a beautiful day with lots of opportunities for networking and getting to know co-workers outside of work. I would highly recommend this location for company events & any family outing, birthday parties ect... It's a beautiful, clean park with lots of activities for adults & children.

Great park on the river! Restrooms, pavilions with picnic tables that are availableto rent for parties! They have a playground, swings and jungle gym thingy and a boat ramp! Only thing is there is NO power at any of the pavilions!! If you need power your out of luck. No plug even in the restroom. Also limited parking. For trucks w boat trailers esp.... and the dock along the water is under repair... but the boat ramp is great!

Lowry Park, located in the heart of Tampa, is quite a mixed bag when it comes to recreational spots. On one hand, it serves as a great place to connect with nature, offering a breath of fresh air right in the middle of the city hustle. The newly installed boat ramp and kayak launch are notable additions, providing a gateway to aquatic adventures for those who fancy a bit of water sports. The park's cleanliness is commendable, with spotless restrooms that truly stand out. This attention to hygiene enhances your overall experience and makes family outings a lot more comfortable. Additionally, the paved trails meandering through the park make for a pleasant walk or a breezy bike ride, with picturesque views that make you forget you're in a city. However, all is not rosy in Lowry Park. The major letdown comes in the form of the two boardwalks that are currently closed due to disrepair. These structures, once a favorite spot for park-goers, now stand neglected and rundown, casting a bit of a shadow on the park's overall charm. In a nutshell, Lowry Park is a bit of a coin toss. If you're looking for nature, clean facilities, and some water sports, it's a great pick. But if the boardwalks were part of your plan, you might be in for a disappointment. It's a place with great potential, but it could do with a bit more attention to its infrastructure.

This is a nice park with plenty of picnic shelters. There’s a playground with a broken slide. The dock is good on one side, falling apart on the other. There’s a walking path, but it’s not the greatest. Lots of bumps along the way.

Nice quiet park, plenty of covered pavilion space, good playground for young kids. There is a boat launch and short boardwalk by the river, plus a couple foot bridges over streams where you can see fish and turtles and maybe a gator if you're lucky. Only downside is the bathrooms do not have soap and you have to watch out for ants.

I went here for a family reunion. It was ok. The docks need repair wood is very soft and some spots had holes in them. The park area was clean and landscaping was neat. Restrooms had no toilet paper or paper towels that was a big problem especially with the amount of people trying to use the bathroom.

It was really nice, however with the whole pandemic everyone wants to be outside. So if you want to be alone try going during the days and hours people will be working. I'm an introvert so I enjoy being alone without people outside.

Great spot for family and friends on the river. Picnic tables & BBQ available. You have to reserve a shelter for a nominal fee. Well worth it

Great park, especially nestled into a busy city. It flooded out during the hurricane and was serviceable later that same day. There was a manatee and her calf feeding in what was once a small creek after the water rose. Enjoy

We stopped here on the way home to wait for the rush hour traffic to settle. It was a great opportunity to socialize my service dog in training and we were not disappointed. The trail was just about a mile long loop along the river with several wooden bridges and a boat ramp. Since it was a Wednesday afternoon, It was not crowded. The squirrels seemed a bit to friendly, perhaps to many treats from the public. They weren’t even concerned with my 7 month, 50+ lbs. Labrador pup. It was a great place to enjoy a slice of nature while avoiding the rush hour traffic.

We absolutely love living so near Lowry Park! We visit 3-4 times a week. It is beautifully maintained and always a great time to picnic, study, walk the tree covered trails, fish and there are playgrounds for my son. The trails are easily navigated and the peace among the city's chaos is refreshing!!!

Excellent facilities. Boat ramp, numerous playgrounds for different age groups, extensive walking pathways along the Hillsborough river that has Water Taxi pickups, covered gazebos and grills for gatherings and most importantly, includes shaded areas. This is across from the Tampa Zoo at Lowry Park and a small ampitheater with bleachers.

Very nice park across from ZooTampa. This park is full of trails, shelters, a boat ramp, and did say across from the Zoo. Enjoyed a good breeze on a hot day with family members and even smoked some ribs. Fun for all.

This park is a hidden gem. The streams that run through the park are so peaceful & scenic. I hope the city invests in the upkeep of this park in the future. If they made some minor improvements on the boardwalk and playgrounds, this park would be perfect.

Place in not kept up well. One restroom was closed another all backed up and is unusable. People loitering in their car with loud music. Almost no one around on a beautiful Sunday morning. Did not feel very safe.

Initially it is nothing special to look at but tucked away is one of the best playgrounds I've visited! I wish I got a photo but was there for a Babyshower but it had so many different types of slides! A rock wall, swings and all the basics in addition. Saw a couple great spots for professional photos.

Honestly it's not a bad park. But I wish they would take care of the grounds a little more. Update it or something. The play area. Heck I didn't even know it existed for a long while because it's so tucked off and away. But it is like a brand new play area!! Also it saddens me that they still have water taxi signs up. But the Water Taxi never comes up to that spot anymore. It's last stop is near Armature Works. That's a along ways from this park. I wish they would bring it back up here. I would ride it so often!

It is a very nice way to spend the day. There is just so much to see and do at the Lowry Tampa zoo. I like seeing all the different kinds of animals. I always have a good time whenever I go there. I recommend buying the year pass so you can go as often as you like. You can interact with the animals.

We love Lowry Park. Lots of mature trees and nice shade, several playgrounds, several covered pavilions, and well-maintained grounds. Right on the water, too. Great for young kids to play, for social gatherings, or for anyone interested in a nice paved walking path that winds around the park. This is a family favorite.
