As you walk past the small pavilion, You really see how amazingly simple, peaceful and almost untouched/commercialized the park REALLY is!! It is definitely one of my favorite parks now in Tampa to clear your mind or when seeking tranquility! Know the museum hours and the actual park hours are different. The Park is typically open from sunrise to sunset. Definitely a hidden gem.....so don't expect many people there if any at all, when you visit. UPDATE: The museum added a kayak launch for a day on the Hillsborough River!

Nice little park with a small museum. Sadly, the grounds aren't maintained well, and erosion of the shore is taking down oak trees, and there is a lot of trash on and around the tables.

A nice small community museum. It has a small section on the history of the area, and a larger area devoted to the various temporary exhibits from the Smithsonian. The volunteers are eager to answer questions and are very welcoming. Given that it is a small community museum, it won't take long to go around it, but check out the river park behind which is especially nice on a nice day.

Very old Florida type park. Untouched by man type of feel. I have taken my grandkids there for walks and they don't want to leave. Finding new things to explore each time. I plan on checking out the museum part on our next visit. Not a big place, but very relaxing if you enjoy nature.

The park itself is lovely! It sits on what appears to be a couple of acres. It has a magnificent spring and river connection. It is a well hidden gem that should offer an abundance of nature activities as it is certainly up to the task. On a small, shallow piece of this land sits the Sulphur Springs Museum. It is rich in Florida's Black history. Visit it sometime soon.

A beautiful hidden park right on nebraska. The nature hear is very untouched. I bring my dog here often and he loves it. During the day there is a kid program and there are many kids running around. But there is another half of the park that they do not go too. It is very open but small you can fish from here or just relax.

Thanks to my friends Lillian and Deborah for sharing this hidden gem. I learned that our history (blacks) in Tampa is a shared experience. Enjoyed & interested.

Ms. Norma has created a beautiful place to gather and learn. I recently attended a lecture on the Jim Crow laws. Every time I go I learn something new.

I like thus park a lot. It's different for sure. I love the water access and open area by the trees. Not very busy so that's a plus.

I really enjoyed the tranquility as my daughter and I got our exercise in😊. I loved seeing people take advantage of the books too.

This place is beautiful and they offer a lot of stuff for the kids. I think if they were to remodel it could really be a main attraction of the neighborhood!
