Sand box is riddled with fleas but other than that it's a great park. My kids spent the whole day in the sand box and now they look like they have a bad case of chicken pox. We no longer use the sand box but it's still a great park.

The wife and I went here for our grandsons birthday. good to see that the city of Tampa has invested money and staff to really improve this park. They now have bathrooms and have tremendously fixed up the playgrounds for the kids. I was born and raised in Tampa and had my seventh birthday at this park. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. Hats off to the good folks at the Tampa Parks department. Thank you

Eight new pickleball courts and four racquetball/handball courts for practicing tennis, pickleball, handball, racquetball or whatever else you need a backboard for.

Nice park the only thing I do not like is the concrete surrounding the children's play area. Children can easily fall and hit their head on that concrete or worse. I like this park but the person who thought of the construction and design of this playground didn't think it through. I had to yell at my child many times to not run because I was afraid of if they fell or tripped. The edges are pretty sharp.

I love that it has so many things for the kids to play with. There are some sections that weren’t available to play with when we were here. If those things get fixed, this would be a 5 star park. The parking lot isn’t big but there are several places to park here.

Our family love this park, it has different play areas, walking path, tennis courts and small work out areas!

Eight nice newish-looking pickleball courts with lighting. I stopped by just to check them out.

Really cool park with lots of unique, different things for the kids to play on. They need to build more playgrounds like this around. Only downside was all the loud parties playing music, but the playground was awesome.

This is a really great playground with a lot of unique equipment, but when I went there early in the day last week the ground was full of leaves and sticks and other debris. Still highly recommend.

My son has a good time here even though it was a hot day. I didn't take much pictures but there were more playground stuff there for the kids to play on/with. And a good size park as well

When living in Tampa I would drive past this park all the time and never stopped. I needed to pull over to adjust stuff in my back seat and it just happened to be during several birthday parties with bounce houses. Like maybe six or seven. And the tennis courts were full, there was even a large group of adults taking a dance class in the main pavilion! I had never seen this park with more than a few people and now it was a popular as the Riverwalk. And there was still plenty of room and the playground did not seem overloaded. It was awesome to see it getting such use and to hear the happy sounds of kids and families enjoying themselves.

I hadn't been here in years. This park has really improved and made a wonderful use of it's space.Lots of items to make kids feel inclusive;share, and I absolutely love that they have incorporated so many freestanding sensory toys.

I love going here. Diversity of people all getting alone. The kids playground is especially cool as it provides more than just physical activity. Kids need to use their brain too. I visited tampa for a week, where I hit many parks. This was my favorite to run in the shade and uphill stair climb. Really affected my view of Tampa.

This is my childhood headquarters, basketball, racketball, tennis courts, plenty of open fields to work out and play with your pets and children. People do the medieval fighting there dressed as knights! Huge updated play area with emphasis on handicap accessibility. Shelters available for parties.

This is a great park in comparison to the way they are set up in Virginia. This park had plenty of space for people to host events. No one area was too close to another to interfere. They had a kids area, basketball and tennis court.... it was just a great park for events.

I'm not from the area and I was here for a family BBQ. The park was a really nice surprise. Much better than many we have back home in Virginia. Very clean and well-maintained. Family-friendly and accessible to those of all ages. All of the pavilions are a VERY nice distance from the others so although other events were occurring NOT A SINGLE ONE encroached upon the other. 100% recommend. You will not be disappointed.

It took over 2 hrs to get 10 sand bags on 9/26/22. Had to drive thru 4 streets to get to it & waste lots of gas. Have to make it simpler next year & at more sites!!

I do enjoy going to McFarland Park. But for some strange reasons the flies have gotten extremely bad this year I wish that the city would find a solution to this problem. The flies wil not allow you to have a picnic in the park. 😭🙏🏾

I love the space here. The circuit. The path. The hill in the middle of the park and the musical instruments. There is a variety of things to do at this park. Bball and tennis courts. 2 Play structure areas. Swings. A toddler space. Multiple pavilions and grills. I like having something that everyone in the party enjoys. I was happy to be reunited with this park. *There is some construction going on currently in the pirate ship play structure area.

My Husband spent some of his childhood around this park he really enjoyed!!! going back up the hill that he had played on when he was a kid. We walked our three dogs around the circle of the park, just driving through the area.

This park has so many fun and unique ways to play. My son loves all of the spinning activities here. This park is so many great way to play. The only drawback is it's not in the greatest area.

Nice park with unique equipment - spinning chairs, wheel chair accessible merry-go-round, xylophone that sounds very nice, etc. My only concern is that it is quite large and so difficult to keep track of kids if they're fast or going in different directions. It also isn't completely fenced in so a child could easily run off into the road or neighborhood, and anyone with nefarious intentions could randomly come from any side and you might not know. Also, I don't think there was a changing table in the women's restroom. Difficult to corrale small children while changing a diaper.
