Unfortunately extremely disappointed with how my stay was taken care of. I called days ahead of time to get early check in and was told it wasn't available but I would get the first room available when ready. I told them I was coming from Wisconsin for the day to surprise my wife and take her to a concert. I arrived at 12 and no room was ready which was not a big deal. I came back around 130 and was told room was being cleaned now give them 30 minutes. Came back at 230 and nothing was ready yet and they took my number and name down for a 2nd time . I was never called and never told a room was ready. I called at 430 to find out you finally had room availability. Extremely disappointed at how this was taken care of. Being told a room would be ready in 30 minutes and it not being ready for hours later is just not the way to take care of customers

Extremely deceiving! We looked at all of the top hotels in the area trying to decide on the best one, based off the photos we thought this was it. Boy were we surprised when we got there. The room was no better than a roadside motel! No water pressure- could barely take a shower. Sink water pressure was just as bad, could barely wash face or brush teeth. Bed was hard as a rock and pillows were terrible. Floor felt damp when we arrived. Decor in the room was super cheap and outdated. Pool was in much need of repairs and made to look much nicer in photos. Screaming children in the room right by us- who checked in right after us. The hotel was not near full. They should not have been put so close. I told the front desk agent when he asked how our stay was, he did nothing. Overall we felt like we got a bait and switch with this hotel. Do not recommend!!!!

I particularly enjoy going to the bar at the Renaissance for an occasional cocktail and quick bite after a long day at the office. There hasn’t been a drink or food entree that I’ve tried that I didn’t enjoy. This time I tried the arugula and mushroom pizza. It was delicious!😋 Rashida the bartender exhibited such great customer service and was very attentive!💯 Her drinks were made to perfection!🍹

Had to stay here for a conference that was located at the hotel. The hotel itself was not bad and it's proximity to the connected mall creates many food and drink options within a few minutes walk. However it's a bit far from other parts of Tampa so some may find that off putting. The rooms were spacious and designed well. The showers had good pressure (although amenities like soaps and haircare could use an upgrade). Beds were comfortable and the room temp was easy to manage. Wifi was strong throughout the hotel, both in the rooms and the conference areas. I didn't have a chance to look at the pool and fitness area but they seemed legit. Also, one other nice perk is the free shuttle to and from the airport. Once you get your luggage call the hotel and they'll send the shuttle to get you. This was a solid hotel if you're here for business.

Stayed for business and given the room I requested.. No upgrades but the agent noted my status. Went to my room and was very disappointed. Obvious the rooms are not sanitized as they say in a video, for I found Toilet seat with urine stains and stuff on the rim.... Disgusting 🤢🤢🤢then found fingerprints on door handles and everything else.. Sanitized my...! They didn't even have sanitization wipes to wipe stuff down.. Better look better b4 you sit on the toilet and touch things... This luxury hotel must do better.. Next time I take my business elsewhere.

Requested early check in at 1pm. By 3pm, I still hadn't received any notice of my room being ready and just decided to show up. After inquiring why I didn't get any notification, the front desk clerk was very curt and just handed me the key. She didn’t go over amenities or location of room or anything. I had to ask about them and the parking situation. As I walked up to my room, I finally received the text that it was ready for check in. Room key was never accessible on the app. Room was clean, large, tastefully decorated and well stocked with towels. Bed was comfortable and black out curtains were amazing. Would have been nice if a microwave was included - there was definitely space for one. Never heard any noise from hallway or adjoining rooms. Pool was clean and hot tub was at perfect temp. Bartender could use some training on how to make a Mai Tai. Housekeeping staff was very friendly.

Great mall attached. Tommy and I shopped and ate pretty regularly in the food court during our trip. We came for the game and stayed for the sunshine. Great staff and nice rooms.

Wonderful hotel. Spacious, clean, well appointed rooms. Lacks a restaurant, but there is a very good snack bar. For breakfast they had granola with yogurt, a delicious breakfast sandwich, and egg dishes. There is a small, but lovely, place to sit and eat, but no table service.

Beautiful hotel. But literally almost had a heart attack when the fire alarm was apparently set off by some people attending some sort of music fest down the street. Lots of questionable looking people walking around with hardly any clothes on and looks like they are on drugs. It's a shame that such a beautiful hotel has such wierd people staying here. I don't hold that against the hotel at all. Just want families with small children to know the just of it. If there is a music fest while you're planning to visit prob choose a different hotel.

Very nice hotel. Conveniently located next to Tampa International Airport and Raymond James Stadium. It's nice because you don't even hear the planes. Raymond James Stadium can be seen in one of the pictures with red lights. We stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night but other than that we had a great time here. The lobby and common areas look high end and there is a really nice and relaxing courtyard in the middle of the hotel.

You couldn't ask for more than this hotel offers. Great food, drinks, amenities, clean rooms and common areas, location is the best 100%. But I came back to remark on the ALL of the hotel staff I interacted with. They are the best and the most professional group of people in one building I've run into in years. Including going above and beyond when I wasn't able to bring a gift bag on our plane due to liquids. They totally worked with me to get the gift bag to our amazing Uber Select driver who delivered it to the UPS Store on N Dale Mabry, who is shipping it to me as we speak! I can't wait to go back. Also wonderful cleaning staff with great personalities. Can't wait to come back.

Absolutely posh from start to finish. I used the valet, which is only $30 and they do have parking for free, but I had a massive infinity QX-80, so I wanted to ensure no damage would occur. Check in was a snap. I got an executive suite on the 6th floor, which wasn’t even that expensive. Bathroom was beautiful, and they even feature Aveda hygiene products! I believe they had the rosemary and mint purifying shampoo, and conditioner (body wash too) which is a plus when you’re blonde and you use their magnificent pool and hot tub! They also have Aveda soap and lotion. The bed was simply LUXURIOUS!!! Everything about this place is beautiful! The huge in-ground pool and hot tub are located on the first floor, through the gym! The gym is even really nice!!! Loads of equipment to get some exercise in! The location is absolutely great too. Everything is so close by, like restaurants, the mall, and the airport is only a few minutes away. I highly recommend this place!!!!

Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and usually will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. Love love love! Staff is great and welcoming. If your place is delayed call them they will take care of your late arrival check in. Wall are thin but that is only negative I can say about it. The layout of the rooms are great and beautiful views, spa like bathrooms. Comfy and cozy, clean and top of the line.

Great location, great room, and a service staff that treated us like family. Robin at the front desk was very friendly, as if we had known her for a lifetime. Wendell the Ops Manager was very hospitable and also treated us like family. Having unlimited food choices a few steps away was magnificent. Then to have a higher end mall to shop at was also a plus. The transportation company that transported us to and from the airport was also seamless. Oh and I almost forgot the two young ladies that served us breakfast were nice also.

Stayed here with my girlfriend because of the 4 star review and location to Yankee ballpark. Does not come close to 4 stars. Carpet in room in desperate need of cleaning, No reason to discuss water pressure in both the shower and sink because there wasn't any. New definition to water saving devices. No refrigerator in room, but there was 2 bottles of water for $5.00 each on the counter. Restaurant service was extremely slow and food was served cold. Our breakfast was to be included. On the first day after the server checked with the front desk advised us that there was no limit and anything could be ordered from the menu. Receipt came up with zero balance, left a tip and went about our business. The second day we went through the same scenario with the server having to check with the front desk again. This time we were told that there was a $16.00 limit per person, $32.00 total. Looking at the menu it was quite difficult if not impossible to have a standard egg breakfast with meat and potatoes and coffee and not go over the limit. When the reservation was made, I was never notified of any limits and it is apparent the management does not know what is correct or not. . The breakfast was very good, to bad it was served cold. Servers were extremely nice and went out of their way to please us. When we checked in we were told there weren't any wagons for luggage because they were locked away until the next morning after 7AM. I guess they don't feel it is necessary to assist those coming in to start their stay. Terrible experience! Poorly managed hotel. Marriott corporation should be embarrassed. 30 years a Marriott member. Will not be my first choice ever again.

I stayed at this hotel for a work conference. Upon arrival we were not greeted or assisted with unloading by the valet staff. I had to approach them to request parking. The front desk staff were friendly and checked us in quickly. It would have been helpful to receive a hotel map and information regarding amenities at check in. The hotel is nice, clean and comfortable. It is conveniently located next to the International Plaza which has great shopping and several restaurants nearby which we enjoyed! We had breakfast each morning in the bar. The conference area was perfect for our meeting! All the food was set up nicely and tasted very good!

I attended the Adventhealth Womens Health & Breast Cancer Prevention Event. The hotel staff were amazing preparing the most delicious meals & snacks. They were attentive, helpful & very accommodating. The food was over the top delicious! The bathroom was immaculately clean & lady very helpful! I was so impressed, that I am planning on having friends stay there when they visit Tampa! Beautiful hotel & I highly recommend it!

Great nights, parking is the reason for the 4 rating. Good rooms. Friendly staff. 30 dollar valet is a little much. Also room service stops at 10, should be later as a courtesy to the guests

Absolutely stellar service from Zack (manager on duty). He was very honest and provided service above and beyond my expectations as an elite bonvoy member. Great compliments and huge thank you for such customer service and recommendations. Very convenient location. Very safe area.

I’ve stayed here at least 5 or 6 times for work and it’s my favorite hotel in the US. The front desk staff are the most helpful I’ve experienced. The breakfast is delicious and the hotel is beautiful. Highly recommend.

Great location if you need to be in Tampa, but are not familiar with the area. The location is luckily within walking distance (literally the same parking lot) to International Plaza mall; Tampa International Airport is within a ten minute drive. This place was very clean, and the staff was approachable and competent.

I was amazed! I stayed at many high end hotels in the past. This one, by far had the most comfortable beds and the best sleep ever! The rooms were very clean as well and the people that work there are extremely helpful!

This is a modern, mid-rise (8 floor) property located adjacent to an upscale outdoor shopping area and also the Tampa airport. That location, while not necessarily scenic, is perfect for convenient air travel access, well as a multitude of shopping and dining establishments. The property is built around a very appealing outdoor courtyard with plentiful seating areas to enjoy the wonderful Florida sunshine. Inside, there is plenty of interesting artwork and engaging graphics (pictured below) displayed in the sleeping rooms and throughout the facility. The hotel itself does not presently feature an in house restaurant, but does offer a nice (and convenient) bar on the first floor. The staff, from top (Daniella in the lounge) to bottom (Evelio driving the shuttle) is uniformly wonderful and welcoming.

Great location, easy access to shopping and airport. Lots of self parking spaces and modern decor. Very spacious hotel, and rooms. Lots of spaces to lounge and chill. Will definitely stay there again. Room service was good and high standards , clean, sanitize stations, wifi shuttle to airport...location location location...

We have stayed here several times on our way back from Orlando and we are pleased with the hotel, mostly for its location and level of comfort and service. This time was a little less than we have come to expect but overall no real issues, just some nitpicking by me. Valet/bellman was not too enthusiastic about helping with our bags, perked up after the $20 tip. Check in was smooth, recognized my Elite membership. The main restaurant is closed which is understandable but it makes breakfast a bit slow. Waitress apologized for the wait, said it was her first day. It happens. Seems to have been several new employees since at the bar that night there was another, senior bartender was not too patient, young lady was trying to learn the ropes. Location is great since it is at a mall and there are several good restaurants in an outdoor courtyard. And it is a mile from the airport and stadium. Will be back!

Great atmosphere inside of the hotel. Comfortable room reminding you that your rest starts here. Very clean and neat. Modern look and colors. Free shuttle picking you up and driving back to the airport. Fantastic restaurant, bar and outdoor pool.

Our stay was perfect! From the east shuttle pick up at the airport, beautiful modern rooms and wonderful staff!!! It’s attached to an amazing upscale mall with soo many restaurants and bars! We missed our flight and had to stay in Tampa, but we are literally coming back to actually vacation and shop next month just because of the time we had!

The room was pleasant, the beds extremely comfortable and in general we were happy with the accommodations. One star off on service for finding remains from the previous guests takeout rice hadn't been cleaned off part of the table and their coffee filter pod still in the coffee maker. Having worked in hospitality I know guests leaving a mess can be a problem, but in cleaning up afterwards details are important. Since this didn't have a huge negative impact on our stay I opted to keep the overall stars at 5, and only deduct one from service.

room was noisy, dirty, ice machine did not work, called front desk for an hour to get some for a special celebration and we missed it because they were so rude, they would not bring up ice , they made me call 4 times and half the time would not answer. finally talked to "Daniel" so called manager.he was extremely rude. had to call front desk for security in the middle of the night for noise. I asked Suzanne the next morning how to reach upper manager. she told me she was able to help because she read the email of how horrible our experience had been and offered a refund. she also offered a free night and points for future for the horrible experience. The hotel charged our room and did not refund. Finally talked to Suzanne, she lied and told me she did not offer both and that points can not be reversed. I asked for her manager, he refused to call me or my daughter , she gave them a bad review and that is the only way "Daniel Morales " so called room operation manager sent her an email refusing to refund the room. we will be contacting his manager and corporate as well as sharing how horrid the managers and hotel are at the International mall in Tampa!!

The Renaissance Tampa used to be our favorite hotel, but over the years, its quality has declined significantly. It is with regret that I must downgrade this once 4-star establishment to a 3-star rating. My most recent stay was a complete disappointment, and I don't plan on returning. The inconveniences started right from the beginning when I couldn't find a place to offload my bags since the valet parked cars in the front of the hotel. I had no choice but to manually carry my luggage to my room because there were no luggage carts available. This unfortunate situation resulted in a back injury that ruined my entire trip. To add to my frustration, the guest parking lot was taken over by people who set up a large tent and started a loud BBQ party, leaving trash scattered everywhere. Moreover, the hotel was constantly noisy, with loud music blaring and teenagers running through the halls at all hours of the night. The final night was particularly dreadful, as the fire alarm went off at 2 am, forcing all guests to evacuate until the fire department deemed it safe to return. The lack of sleep was incredibly frustrating. During check-out, there were no carts available again, so I asked guest services if they had any. Their response was an unhelpful "no" with the suggestion that they would bring one to my room when they found it. Eventually, I took matters into my own hands and searched each floor until I finally found a cart. What surprised me the most was that the staff at guest services seemed completely unaware of the evacuation incident, showing no empathy or concern. I wondered about the security of the building and whether it was the hotel's responsibility to gather the carts instead of making guests search for them. Considering all these disappointments, I cannot justify spending my money on this hotel anymore. I regretfully conclude that it is no longer worth the investment.

We are frequent travelers and this is the nicest hotel we’ve stayed at since the beginning of Covid. It seems like most hotels have used Covid as their excuse for not providing basic hotel services but this hotel has not forgotten what it means. Beautiful common areas, complimentary cocktails, great outdoor spaces and pool, comfortable luxurious rooms and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. We came to Tampa for a wedding but plan to return to this hotel for a weekend getaway in the future. Thank you!

Overall the service was lovely. The room was nice but was decorated strange (big mural of a dude's bottom half). The in hotel restaurant didn't have water or soda when I ordered my meal. The pool area is gorgeous.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful resort-like facility. The guest services personnels are really good at their job, making you fell comfortable and very welcomed. The lounge crew up on the 8th floor are attentive and efficient. The restaurant serves a delicious margherita pizza you should definitely try while you stay. The location is also convenient, right next to a mall and a few eateries just a short Uber ride down the street. 9.1/10 Definitely will get my return business.

Nice property with a good staff. Breakfast was slow and only ok but it was complimentary due to my Marriott status. The bathroom door is very odd but overwise a terrific stay.

We had the most pleasant experience at Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel! Family of four, we stayed only one night before our flight. I accidently booked one month in advance. The lady from Front Desk was able to quickly identify the problem and changed dates for us. Very easy! On top of it she allowed to check in earlier, which was very helpful. We were so tiered driving from far away and our little one needed some rest. It was all clean and stylish room. Luxury feels and yet very relaxing environment in the hotel. We loved the opportunity to go to shopping mall and choose from multiple dining options. We loved clean and beautiful pool area in the hotel. Check in and check out was super-fast and easy. I would give it 100 points out of 10 available. We were so happy and would love to come again!
