Military members beware. This motel has no affiliation with the base and is NOT clean! They are known for removing all the dirty furniture from the room, placing it ON THE STREET to air out and then putting it all back inside the room. Im posting pictures of the current state of the motel on this site as well as trip advisory so everyone interested in staying at this motel is fully informed on what they’re paying for. (What you’ll see in the photos is not a one time occurrence, I drive by this motel regularly.)

Five minutes after checking in I got a knock at my door by someone I did not want knocking at my door. I was explaining that I wanted him to leave as the manager came to the room and told me to leave and he would refund my money. I was allowed two total people in my room. But he told me I had to leave and I would receive a refund. I never got a refund. When I called to ask why, he said,” I gave it to you!” And hung up. My account still shows they took my money and never refunded it. You WILL get kicked out for reasons beyond your control. Whether they give money back or not is totally up to them and if they decide to give back. On top of all this the room was for my son and I to relax because we just found out he had cancer. I was still waiting for my son to show up.

This place either needs to be renovated or condemned. It is far from worth what they charge per night, per week, etc The staff/owners are very rude. And give orders to paying guest as if this place was their personal home. I wouldn't have given this place any stars. However it made me give at least one. I don't recommend staying here at all.

Filthy broken no soap no towels horrible plumbing and paint some places and mirrors on floor someone should buy this Realestate and renovation and charge more, it's expensive already for what you get is shouldnt be over $25 a night probably should of been named bates motel instead

Absolutely terrible. I suggest the base run into this building with one of their tanks and completely destroy this place and build something worthy of the land it’s sitting on

I usually don’t leave reviews but I must warn everyone this is a TERRIBLE motel. My room had bed bugs and dingy towels and sheets. Also smells TERRIBLE. I left within the 1st hr of checking in.

This place that we stayed at the the rooms in a mess the cable was broke the sinks are falling through the beds are all tore apart I wouldn't advise anybody to go there and they charge 400 a week well anyway to stay there for one week so it's one night nevermind it's one night it's time that you stay there

The amenities are fabulous. The ice cold bath water was super refreshing, taking hot showers is like so last year! I felt so safe and secure going to bed at night knowing all of South Tampa PD is always watching.

This is a small independent motel so I am going write my review based on that and not compare it to Holiday Inn or Marriott. Having said that, it's a nice place to stay. Nothing fancy but it has all basic things you need. Microwave, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, cable TV, etc. The room was clean and they provided good service.

I am shocked this place is still around. The number of drug deals I’ve seen in the parking lot mixed with high people is so incredibly sad to me. I absolutely would never recommend this place to anyone.

The Base Motel provided a place for my family when we first arrived to Tampa.

Looked like they renovated rooms. Room was very nice and clean. Nice TV and lots of channels. Internet was working fine. Exterior of the hotel is still under renovation. Will stay here again.

Not bad on price; But sometimes it takes time to get things, such as towels, wash cloths and other nessesiteies. That comes with a busy place. I would recommend to my friends.

If I had the option it would be a 1/2 star. Tv hardly worked, couldn't sleep on covers because they were stained and cigarette burns galore. Rather sleep in my car...lol
