Remodeling the whole hotel. It's under new ownership very beautiful rooms. new beds no bugs or any bad smells. Management is very friendly and helpful. Maids are very efficient and helpful... good prices and decent location. Highly recommend giving it a chance I remember staying here once about 6 or 7 years ago and it was a disaster there was bugs and it's smelled horrible so seeing the change from disgusting to beautiful is amazing

I've been here two weeks now. I've experienced friendly customer service by the front desk. Been placed in 3 rooms already the first room had two bars sticking out from under the bed that I caught my foot on and cut really bad. Had fleas in the carpet and roaches in the microwave. They moved me upstairs to the other end and there the drain stop didn't work (I have a toddler that requires bath time) the phone didn't work and then the TV goes out. Was then moved back downstairs to the other end to find roaches crawling on the wall the faucet in the tub didn't even work showers only and the TV still don't work. They only service the room twice a week if your staying weekly, Mon and Fri. It should b an option to when u want service I don't bring my own vacuum nor should have to when its paid for and I shouldn't have to wash my own towels or have to beg for clean towels and toilet paper. I went to change my trash because even though I'm only here @ night it still overflows. And the inside of the trash can was disgusting like it hadn't been washed in forever. I was wondering where the stench was coming from but just expected it to b from the mold in the carpet. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anyone w children, pets or elders.

Hi ! This place has become a great getaway from home. The new renovation is very great. Tv shows clear, shower is nice and clean ,&&the floors inside room are wood. I think the place is the best hotel around the casino area considering the fact that i was able to enjoy my peace and quiet. There are NO THUGS OR DRUG USERS hanging outside around all night like the roadway inn not too far from this location. I will be staying here again when im in town. Conviently located! Restaurants, stores, and banks are in a 1.5 mile radius.

Friendly desk clerk and a quick check-in. A bit too pricey for quality. Bed was comfy but the shower was run down and chipped. Water took 10 mins to get hot. The sound of fire alarms chirping was a bit annoying. Granted they are remodeling but they were remodeling over 9 months ago last time I stayed.

Room was disgusting. The towels and sheets were dirty. The whole room was dirty. There was a review saying they didn’t have roaches but there were roaches. I’ve stayed at cheaper hotels than this that were not this gross. I booked a ground level room on the app when I got there they gave me a hard time and said it would be more money than what I paid already and wanted a $60 deposit even though I was paying with a credit card. Also people are up all night long having parties. I was woke up several times.

It is clean. NO ROACHES! That is a fact everyone can appreciate. That also means they are clean. They left and extra roll of toilet paper. It might not sound like a big deal but it is. Not having to go to the front desk when you are only staying one night is great. Thanks to this hotel staff.

When we arrived Saturday evening, to check in, we asked the night clerk who was very nice if we could have a 12 o’clock check out the next day. He said that would be fine. At 11:02 AM the next day there is a loud knock on the door. My husband and I were not dressed and he kept pounding on the door, shouting something that we could not understand. We told him through the door that we had a 12 o’clock check out but he kept knocking and then the next thing we knew he was putting the key in the door and forcing his way in. My husband and I had to literally Push against the door as hard as we could to keep him from coming in. My husband got dressed real quick and he told me to go into the bathroom. He open the door and it was an older maintenance man. He insisted that we needed to get out , even though we told him we had a 12 o’clock check out he was extremely rude and yelled at my husband and told him to go to the office. Then 15 minutes later, there was another knock on the door. My husband was in the shower so I answered the door and it was the manager. He told me that we needed to leave. I told him also that we had a 12 o’clock check out approved by the night manager. He shook his head and said oh no, that can’t be. I told him yes, he told us we could check out at noon. He insisted that we weren’t told that. When I told him about the older man, forcing his way in our door, he totally denied that anyone would do that. He basically was calling me and my husband liars by not believing what we told them. We will never stay here again. The staff, other than the night manager, were rude, demeaning, and nasty.

When we got there, we were charged fees I’ve never been charged before and didn’t let us do weekly rates. A guy was recording us in the parking lot that apparently lives here which nothing was done about. Then we get to our room and it was dirty. Sheets had muddy dogs prints all over them. When we then tried to extend our stay, they tried to charge us pet fees which is against motel 6 policy. Then the days we asked for our room to be cleaned we left for hours only to come back and it not be done. Probably one of the worst motel 6 I have stayed at. They definitely only care about how much money they can get out of you and not about their customers…

The internet absolutely sucked and even with your own phones you couldn't get any service inside the rooms if there's too many people At the motel you're not gonna get on it at all and if you're too far away from the office you probably won't get it either I was at the furthest room away from the office and I couldn't get a signal they were constantly having problems with the internet. One of the employees was a little rude when we asked about the internet said that we were obviously putting it in wrong and we weren't he couldn't even log on to it himself and he was standing in the location was great. And the rooms were decently priced for the location it was.

The front desk was very kind, polite and accommodating. First impression is important and that alone stood out. The room was good, clean and comfy. The BATHROOM WAS CLEAN. I requested a handicap room because of a mobility issue and was happy that handicap parking was right in front of the room and the room was all accessable. If I'm back in town that way, I will definitely stay again. Thank you to the staff for making it so pleasant. I appreciate you.

Floors were dirty although the bed linens were clean and welcoming. Overall, the rooms need very little to uplift it and the clean floors would've made it at least to a 4 star rating.

The fact that I tried to give this place a shot despite the negative reviews and I got the phone hung up on me. Yes! I didn’t even have to step foot onto premises and already received a horrible experience. I didn’t know asking for a price for a 4 night stay could be a result in being hung up on. Well there you have it guys. Find somewhere else where for the most part you will be treated correctly.

Wow I'm speechless.. the outside of the motel isn't so good. So I was like no way but my husband was like baby let's just give it a shot. I was greeted at the front desk by a very professional man..So I was like ok I'm liking it. Then when we got to the room!! #143...OH MY GOD I WAS IN HEAVEN!! The best room ever!! The tv on the wall the paint the way the Beds were made!! The bathroom oh my it was so beautiful!!! But wait there's more.. the clean smell once you walk in!!! I even seen the housekeeper cleaning one room and even mentioned to her how beautiful the room looked!! It's perfect!! I hate that I'm leaving tomorrow haha. But if we ever need a motel again this will be the one we come too!! Hope visitors that come to this motel don't ruin the hard work these owners put into these rooms.

This is one of the worst maintained hotels I have ever seen. While it does appear clean overall and the front desk staff is friendly, the rooms leave a lot to be desired. When I went to the first room they assigned to me, the bed was unmade, and the linen was setting on the desk. The mattress had a large blood stain on it and the stain was fresh. That was obvious from the bright red color. I alerted the staff and they “upgraded” me to another room which had a non-working phone, smoke detector hanging from the ceiling by the wires and a shower control that pulled on, but there was no ability to adjust the temperature, the control simply spun in my hand. I told the front desk about this on two separate mornings, and it was not addressed. Fortunately, I left the third morning. The bed was exceedingly hard which was attributable to the lack of box springs. The hard mattress was laid on a piece of plywood on a wooden box from for height. This is not a place I would ever choose again.

Very sketchy! Please read!. Attempted to check in, but it was made clear by body language and attitude of front desk attendant, I was not welcome at this motel. I found the motel on an online booking site for $97 night. I travel for work and stay at many motels and hotels. I always speak with hotel directly before booking on sites like hotels. Reason being, you can get a better deal sometimes and the hotel doesn’t have to pay commission. Anyhow: I attempted to do this here. The man behind the glass asked me “smoking or non”. I said non and I got an eye roll response and then given an absurd price quote of $130 night. Told the employee that was very expensive given higher quality hotels such as holiday inn was that price range. He told me “well go to them”…I am an IHG spire Elite member and ended up in a very decent room that night at Holiday Inn for $78 after using some points. ). I was just looking for a quick nights sleep at a value price, however this place looked SKETCHY, and evidently I made them nervous or something. Don’t stay here. Especially if you’re traveling with family. It appears dangerous.

This is a real s@$^t hole. I checked in for a week to prepare for my exams but that turned out to be the worst choice ever. Internet doesn't work. I tested the speed at the front desk and it was only 0.9 Mbs that is why it can't reach rooms behind. Front desk at check in was nice but when I checked out, the front desk agent has no clue of customer services. Motel owner knows about the internet issues but says it is fine with him. I just spent one night and checked out, they charged me $75. Room was clean but furniture are old. Some roaches but my room didn't have bed bugs. It just seems like the owners don't care. I worked in Hotels for 8 years and been to many low hotels but this one is really bad. Don't book this hotel, stay away from here. They just care for your money without the services. I moved to another place same price and nicer rooms with a stove for the same price.

Was told they took the CLC card, they do not. $155.00 for 1 night. Room smelled of smoke, from cigarettes and pot. Rooms are well past needing updated, the tub is rusting near the drain. Toilet seat still had someone else's DNA on it. (Poop) Not trucker friendly location. Do not recommend this place at all.

I liked the location, right off of I-4. Everything in the room worked properly: lights, electrical and device outlets, TV, water/shower, fridge, and microwave. The bed was comfortable, if a bit soft. The pillows were pretty flat, I had to use two most of the time. Housekeeping was courteous and efficient. Check-in and -out was quick and easy.

First I stayed about 4 weeks after all the money spent they then say they don’t allow pets I have to leave tomorrow! Complete inconvenience the website says they allow pets which is the only reason I stayed as long as I did! My room was by some crazy girl I’m 134 she’s 136 she’s walking screaming top of her lungs EVERYDAY, that was insane. Besides the fact I’m 4 months pregnant waiting on them to finish my house, this MOTEL 6 as a brand has been horrible! At best the young ladies are amazing and two of the front desk guys as well, the night guy ask as if he’s irritated to make keys! Worse experience will not be supporting this company anymore! Everyone at this place has pets now I feel a little discriminated against

The attendant was incredibly nice and helpful. The TV remote did not work. The freezer portion of the small refrigerator looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. The bed cover had a large dark stain or an iron burn at the foot of the bed. The WIFI connected but no internet. Everything else was fine. The bed sheets were clean and the AC was nice and cold. For the money this is a good place if you just want to sleep for the night.

This place was once a good affordable clean motel. Over the years this place has went down tremendously. We checked in. I went to our room and it was filthy. The sheets looked liked they have been just pulled back over. The floor was dirty. The mini fridge... please don't get me started. Then I went to the front desk. Informed them of the findings and he stated " I'll give you a refund"... I don't want the refund I'm tired and we need to sleep after our long journey. So his comment was" ill put you in our V.I.P room. I was like huh .. either way it turned out to be an actual clean room... this is extremely scary that they would call the clean room a V.I.P. room.. do not highly recommend unless you have no choice.

Very clean room. We come to Tampa once a month or every other month for competitions. We have stayed in several hotels around the fairgrounds. This is one of the cleanest hotels that we found that is near the fairgrounds for a reasonable price. The hotel is old however, they have remodeled and taken care of the rooms! We were very happy with the service and the location and the cleanness this up the room. We will definitely be staying here when we return for competitions in the area instead of driving home

Traveled to Tampa from Orlando for the Morgan Wallen concert on 5/6. To be honest, we were looking for something that was easy on the wallet and convenient in location to the Midflorida Amphitheater. The hotel all in all, was solid. It's definitely a motel, but the staff was super friendly, it's got a Wendy's (open till 2 a.m.) and gas station, within the same parking lot (we found super convenient for drinks, late night snacks, I left my razor at home, etc). No sign of bugs, the bed was very comfortable, the shower tub had little signs of wear and tear, but truly, no complaints. If you're looking for a quick trip, in and out, and aren't super high maintenance, book Motel 6 Tampa.

The room was not cleaned!!! Despite having called ahead of time days before twice, the comforter on 2nd queen bed smelled of smoke (was a non-smoking room). The floor rug for bathroom after shower was DIRTY!!! There was dirt from previous use on the towel from dirty feet.

My daughter and I stayed for a night because we were there for the Nickleback concert. We had some problems on our travels and were exhausted. We got there and the lady in the office was amazing. She was so incredibly helpful. When we got to our room, it was emaculate. Everything looked brand new and was very clean. Everything worked and it felt like we were in a luxury room. It was extremely hot that day and the AC was cold and very inviting. I can't say enough good things about this Motel 6 on Martin Luther King Blvd. The location was awesome! It was a couple minutes from the Amphitheater. We will definitely be going back any time we travel to Tampa. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

Well first of all the shower/ bathtub was like walking in a waterbed. Constantly leaking and very dangerous. Can tell they just put new stuff on old problems. I fixed the headboard on the bed on my own because it was sagging and hanging loose. We said something to management about the potential dangerous situation and they knew very to no English. A mold hidden haven. This place should be condemned and unless you want an easy lay and the gift that keeps giving..STAY AWAY FROM THE MOTEL 6!!!

  • 2/5 Amanda J. 7 months ago on Google
When my boyfriend and I arrived we noticed the faucet in the tub was leaking but we got ready in the room and went to the concert scheduled in the amphitheater. After the show both of us needed a shower so we stepped in to an almost waterbed sensation under our feet. The lining in the bathtub was flooded underneath with apparently leaked water from the faucet. Luckily we cleansed ourselves unscathed, but beware the tub in # 126. I told the girl checking out but who knows if they'll actually do anything. Overall it was an ok stay. The bed was fine beyond the cigarette burns in the comforter.

I came here with my boyfriend and for a king size room it was 170. So expensive and the male desk worker is rude when I tried to ask a question about what time I need to leave in the morning. We saw over 5 roaches less than 2 hours.

This places is run down!!!! Yes they have a pool but u can’t swim because there is no permits for the pool. There is no WiFi as website states. The rooms are nothing like the pictures posted on web and there is no free breakfast. At check in we had been given three different rooms till we got one with a work air conditioning unit. If I wasn’t a truck driver stuck here at kenworth dealer I would not have stayed here. Should rename this place master scam inn!

Worst room I've ever seen in my life. And I've been to third world countries. This was DISGUSTING. We had NO AC, beds were stained. Walls were covered in blood, feces and more. DO NOT STAY HERE! Toilet was broken. And this was the third room that they tried. First two rooms were not even able to be slept in. One room they could even get open. When I mean the blankets were bad, just imagine ones that belong in the trash. They are that bad, no exaggerating. Worst motel EVER!!

The bedspread is dirty, with holes in it. The floor of the shower was dirty when I came into the room. The Wifi is horrible. First time I ever stayed somewhere and the WIFI never ever connected for my phone or laptop. I just saw a roach come out from under the desk. The only good thing was that the front desk attendant was courteous and professional. I called the front desk, they told me to stop by in 30-45 minutes. When I got there, I showed the pictures and I was upgraded from a standard non smoking room to a deluxe noon smoking room. It was a lot better. Only problem here was the bedspread had 2 huge holes in it! I hope housekeeping is willing to change it

Just as a reference to people who do not smoke cigarettes but wish to vape. He will not put you in a non smoking room. He will treat you like a cigarette smoker even if you didn't smoke a single cigarette throughout the entire stay. Every day they were knocking at 10:00 am sharp asking if I need to pay an extra night. Then the man waited at my door the very last day as I pack my things up to leave for about an hour. Incompetent matinence and housekeeping, no laundry, no running pool and they would not give me my deposit back after I checked out and did not destruct anything. He was only being petty. 0 stars

Ok for the price just needed a place to sleep after a concert. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. Pool is closed, rooms were updated with snap down tile, toilet was wobbly and a bit scary. Room was clean, sheets were stained and ripped.

Zero stars. We booked two rooms for the 4th of July on the 3rd. We have our couple of dogs with us which they knew about even upon calling to confirm ground level rooms on the day of booking (which was met) just to have them tell us that they won't allow our animals because they just sprayed for fleas. Our dogs were confirmed less than 5 hours before arrival. Looking around, everyone has pets but we can't for rooms we pre-booked? Horrible service and on a holiday on top of it!? Don't recommend.

This one-night stay was among my worst ever. The facility is very run-down, and the room was dirty and in disrepair. The room had a very strong unpleasant odor. The bedding, especially the bedspread, did not feel clean. Although the room was purported to be non-smoking, there were cigarette ashes on top of the headboard. A roach scurried across the table while I was eating. There was no hair dryer, shampoo or toiletries other than low-quality soap. There was constant noise all night long from shouting people, car horns and engines, barking dogs and a very noisy A/C unit. Internet was weak and slow and occasionally non-functional. There was no breakfast, and indoor access to the office was closed off most of the time. At check-out, I rang the indoor and outdoor bells several times, yet nobody came to the desk. I ultimately tossed my card on the counter and left. Even with my AARP discount, the rate was a ridiculously-high $103 on a weeknight. While I certainly don't expect much from Motel 6, this stay was totally unacceptable. I will never again stay at a Motel 6 under any circumstances.

The rooms were not very clean, they had no do not disturb signs in the room, house keeping was knocking everyday, I was in the shower and I didn't hear them knocking so they entered my room and the house keeper opened the door while I was in the shower I'm sure she heard the shower on. It is not worth the weekly rate the charge.

Room was dirty, hair hanging on clothes rack, and floors were gross. Nothing was wiped down, oh and let’s not leave out the ROACHES and the shower was horrible. Shower water was like using a water gun that’s low on water.

stayed at the hotel for one night Convenient location. Close to the highway. There are plenty of free parking spaces. The placement went quickly. I would like to note the good and qualified work of the staff. They treated us well. At our request, they changed the room to a non-smoking room in a quiet location. The room was clean. The bathroom had everything you needed Clean bed linen and comfortable mattress. Wifi was fast. It is especially worth noting that the air conditioner was new and worked well. In general, the hotel meets the price/quality criterion for people who need to spend the night on the road near the highway. I would like to note that the hotel is no longer new. Therefore, I ask you to be understanding about the condition and equipment of the premises. At such a low price.
