My breakfast was terrible. I’m so disappointed and regret the choice. I was so excited to try Cry Baby. I ordered the most simple item on the menu: the breakfast bowl. My cubed potatoes were not cooked properly. They had that starchy crunch of an uncooked potato and they were wet and hard. And they weren’t warm. Worse, the sprinkle of shredded cheese over the bowl was cold and unmelted. So the cold cheese combined with the under cooked potatoes made my bowl inedible, and I threw it away.

I got the "Eggs Bene Bowl" and they left off the hollandaise sauce--you know, the thing that makes it a proper eggs benedict?? Also note, during lunch, make sure to always check your to-go order for the side of potato salad that it is included in the price, because the two separate times I ordered lunch--chicken salad sandwich and BLT--I stopped before I walked out the door, checked, then had to go back to the counter and ask for it

The food here is overpriced for what you get, which is basic and the staff had difficulty answering questions about the menu. Google was a little deceiving calling the Cry Baby Cafe a breakfast restaurant, so I assumed I'd be getting more than a choice between bagels or croissants (menu has 5 items on it). As far as the physical features of this establishment goes, it has a modern rustic feel; It's right off the water but you don't get a sense of that when you're inside, as it's a little dark. I'm not sure what the name of this place has to do with what they're about, it's a little strange if you ask me. The pictures they have on their site are not at all what I received in terms of presentation. Below is avocado toast and their breakfast sandwich.

Went in no one said hello.... waited patently to order. There was a menu on the wall., but since no one came out to talk to me I went to the kiosk to order. What I wanted ( what I decided on from the wall menu)wasn't in the computer. Then I saw an employee she said i had to order at the kiosk. So I went back to kiosk, looked again... told the lady that Pablo's tacos were not in the computer. She had no response, so I left.

The croissant and coffee we had were good. Now for the bad: my son's hot chocolate had a piece of their steamer machine in his cup. It was discovered after he took the lid off and took a drink winding up with it in his mouth. We went back into the shop and "gave" the piece back. The gentleman working just stared at us and absolutely said nothing. He just sat the piece on the counter and ignored us. All we wanted was an I'M SORRY and instead we got looked at like we were bothering him and inconvenienced him.

Ok, so I kept wandering about this place and decided we had to check it out. What person would call their restaurant cry baby? After my first bite I knew. I wanted to cry like a baby that I hadn't been here sooner. We were in Gouda heaven. Soft, toasted, english muffin, crispy bacon, perfectly yet slightly, gooey centered egg and the goudy cheese.... Yummilicious! Don't miss this tiny yet simple restaurant for breakfast/ brunch/ lunch. You'll be the cry baby if you do.

Great cafe, great location near the water on Harbour Island. Not long after my first visit, they did away with their best sandwich, the Hangover Cure, so for that....I must go 4 stars. But I look forward to more varieties and the return of the Hangover Cure.

Filthy bathroom on a Sunday morning. Ordered a hot Americano that came out cold, was told it must have been the half and half so I took a sip and she poured it back into a steamer cup and steamed it... I don't think that's sanitary. Definitely don't recommend and for the area we should have a great little cafe. Sad.

Would not recommend this place. Basically an order at a kiosk, then pay, then wait to see what you actually ended up with vs what you thought you ordered. Even the coffee wasn't really good.

Ordered 3 things. - BLT sandwich, breakfast bowl, and the chorizo tacos. BLT: Great bacon, great aioli on it, but tasted like it was basic and could be made at home. Wasn’t blown away, but didn’t hate it. Breakfast bowl: Potato’s were mushy and uncooked, eggs were dry and there was NO seasoning on it. No garlic powder on potato’s, salt, or pepper. Had to add it on my own. Tacos: Same thing with potatoes (uncooked, mushy) the cheese wasn’t melted, and didn’t even come with salsa or any “garnishes” to make it taste better. Tacos also came out 12 min past the other two items. Really wanted another place in walking distance to be good, but the food was bland and basic. I had high hopes, but I won’t be returning. Employees were un inviting and on their phone behind the kitchen bar the whole time, which is unsanitary and rude. Overall, wouldn’t come back and I do NOT recommend. I’d rather go to Starbucks and eat a sandwich or croissant. Do better, restaurants!

Found this place while visiting and it was very good with great portion sizes and very fair prices. Perfect for a nice easy breakfast or lunch. Parking garage is right next door and service is very fast. The coffee is excellent too.

Breakfast is good and very yum butttt some of the pics on their site is from another restaurant across the street called Dufrain. I got mislead by the pictures and ended here with avocado toast that didn’t match the pics and only one egg white...bummer but it was good

AWESOME PLACE AND AWESOME FOOD! Service was outstanding. Our food came out quick!! Great walk up window and plenty of seating inside! Restaurant was clean as well as the bathroom. We highly recommend Cry Baby Cafe when in the Tampa, Florida area!

Riding my bicycle around town, I saw this cafe and decided to stop by for breakfast. I ordered their "Cry Baby" Breakfast Bowl which consisted of roasted potatoes, a choice of chorizo, ham, or bacon, two eggs, and smoked gouda. The overall flavor and presentation was very balanced. Highly recommend for a quick but delicious breakfast. Also, I'm a big fan of their wall murals. It's super motivational.

This is a very nice place. The service and the cofee was very good. There honestly isn't that many good cofee places on the east side of downtown Tampa/ that portion if the riverwalk. I find it worth it to walk over here any time that I'm visiting the Florida Aquarium or doing other activities over here.

Atmosphere: Smokey. They cook in the open but don’t have a hood vent. Food was very salty. Coffee was good though.

Breakfast sandwich was great! So nice I got it twice this week. The ladies that took my order both times were very nice to me and I will be coming back if in Tampa again!

Came for what we thought would be a quick coffee. Not too many people waiting so we figured one cup of coffee and a chocolate croissant wouldn’t be too hard. Initial impression was not good as you had to order via a computer. That’s fine, we order our iced coffee and chocolate croissant, we sit down and wait for our name to be called. No efficiency or fast paced movements from behind the counter.. 25 minutes later, I walk up confused as to where our order is… I see the iced coffee sitting with our name on it…but no name being called or chocolate croissant sitting next to the coffee. I asked the staff about the missing croissant and the staff rudely responded with “just a minute”. Then saw another staff member holding said croissant in her hand confused with where it should go. Thankfully got the coffee and croissant and hit the exit as fast as possible. I totally understand busy times, spring break, and other circumstances.. but this place did not have any drive coming from the employees. Unfortunately would not recommend this establishment.

Ate here 3 days in a row. Chicken salad and the turkey sandwich was fantastic. Fresh and good. Iced coffee was amazing. Exactly what I needed. Great staff as well

The absolute worst customer service i have ever experienced. The people who work there are miserable and untrained. You can stand right in front of them with nobody in the store and they will not look up. They are rude and its a shame because the place has potential. The menu in my opinion is sub par. They try too hard to be fancy. Also what breakfast sandwich shop doesnt carry sausage?

Ok folks, if you want a place to grab a quick cup of coffee this is NOT the place to go. And it’s not affordable. An egg sandwich is 7 dollars and a small cup of coffee is 3 dollars. I waited 39 minutes for this. I do not recommend.
