I've been there for the first two days of Absolution Fest, and then again tonight for the Wingtips show, with Violet Silhouette and Vision Video opening. They're a great venue for shows, and the bar staff are amazing. Tonight, they were degrees beyond nice, and the VERY least that I could do was to leave this review. I had to swap cards to hold My tab, so that I could buy a CD and shirt from Vision Video. I let them know that I would pay with the first card at the end of the night, but they forgot and charged the second card. Although it was only $4, it would have overdrafted, so I asked them to reverse and let Me pay with the first. They did but refused to take My money on the first. I had the cash (plus tip), but they wouldn't accept it, probably thinking that I'm hurting financially. This was above and beyond, and having been denied the means to properly support the venue, I wanted to give them this review, and to thank them again for their kindness. I can't say enough good things about them.

Went for the Belmont & Can't Swim show in November 2023. Great atmosphere, huge back patio with extra bars and a little snack bar. Free cold water!!! Plenty of beverages selections both alcoholic and non-alcoholic and not over priced

This is my third time at the crowbar and it's still just as fun as the last two times! It's a nice little venue with a great bar and they provided water for the event which is just phenomenal! My friends, sister, girlfriend and I went to see the Mystery Skulls and it was absolutely amazing! Great place and I can't wait for the next time!

Posters from past shows line the walls and stickers cover poles and bathroom stalls. It's a place with history and unabashed grit. I've been here for a handful of shows over the years, and typically find acoustics well managed. The arrangement of the venue is intimate. Bands perform on a 2-foot stage and are visible in standing room from 1 inch away to the edges of the venue. Bar staff is efficient and helpful. Craft beer list could stand some improvement but generally this is a place where you drink PBR or something from the full bar. 2 indoor bars and one outdoors adjacent to a spacious outdoor courtyard. Be advised that front and back doors are often open, so dress accordingly. Food sometimes available in the courtyard for special events. Overall, a good place to rock when you want to rock out.

Great small venue! Park 2 blocks away for like $10 I think and walk over, never felt unsafe just across the tracks there is usually a lot going on just be cautious and stick with crowds this area isn't scary.

First time at Crowbar. Went to see Matt Maeson and the show and the venue was perfect. Inside bars, outside bars, not too big or too small for a good acoustic show of any kind.

Great spot for local bands. The local School of Rock uses this venue for concerts as well. Intimate, classic bar atmosphere. The CBGB's of Tampa. Check this place out. Highly recomend.

Been going here for for at least 15 years, one of the best places in Tampa to catch live music in an intimate dive bar. Absolutely love it here.

One of the few great remaining establishments in the Bay Area for live music. The booking is top notch. The sound is great. The crowd size is comfortable. The bartenders are professional. Not many other places that host better shows than Crowbar

The venue is really pretty the bands were great my only real complaint is that bouncer was so incredibly rude and even that would be an understatement. He gave me and my friend a hard time about my purse size and refused to let us in even after I took everything out of the bag. Not to mention when I went inside there were people with the SAME purse size as mine! He got in my friends face when he pointed out that other people had bags and was unprofessionally rude. Honestly disgusting behavior and a real turn off he made me leave my bag in the alley. It was very unfortunate love this place but made me very uncomfortable.

The venue and bands were amazing! However, the bouncer was completely unprofessional and rude about my friends bag and got in my face when I pointed out that other people had the same exact bag size as her. We ended up leaving it behind a trash can in a nearby alley way. The drinks were also very expensive but the bartenders were very nice.

5 stars for the awesome bartenders and staff. Zero stars for belligerent owner Tom. If ever you want to go out for a fun night of drinking and want to be degraded and chewed out by the owner Tom then this is the place for you! I've lived in Ybor for the last 10 years and have frequented this place dozens of times for the live music and friendly bartenders. But Tom has always been unpredictable. Usually he's harmless. When he's had a bit to drink he can be a raging d*ckhead and the staff tiptoe around him.

great venue for shows. the bathrooms are spacious and clean, although the latches on the doors are suspect. there are a few different bars so you don't have to squeeze through throngs of people to get a drink. the stage has really good placement and the back patio is really great. the staff is super friendly as well

I've been to lots of shows here, great venue for smaller acts. Last time I was here it was for Enterprise Earth and Ingested. It's tough to get a drink but that's pretty standard for places like this. They are affordable considering when it comes to drink prices and ticket prices.

The Crowbar was an absolutely amazing show and bar for so many reasons! We could get so close to the band playing there, the staff is so good and fast at getting to you. But the sound, my God the sound was so flipping good! that was the best feature!

Went to see Belmont with my son had the best time. Crowbar is bigger than it looked from pictures. Outside area is great for taking in some fresh air between bands. Definitely a go back to venue. ❗

Went there for absolution fest for one nite it was 30.00 cover, spent a lot on beers and got a 30.00 parking ticket and forgot my card at the bar....fun times right??? The place was cool, sure next time will go better+++

Better than expected. It's like the orpheum but smaller. Drinks are ok pricing. $25 cover, yet others got in for 10. Performances were great. Fair amount of seating, ample standing room. Didn't hear any complaints about bathroom.

They've got some great shows coming through lately. Lots of deathcore. They don't stop you from moshing or crowdsurfing. Plenty of room up front in the pit.

Spent 30 bucks on tickets around 1040, bouncer didn’t mention the show was almost over and they were about to close. We were able to listen to like two songs. Would have taken two seconds for the bouncer to inform us they were about to close prior to taking our money.

As always this venue provided a positive show experience. The establishment was clean (including the restrooms) and the inside temperature was comfortable. We were there for the Napalm Death show. This is a smaller venue. But the acoustics are great even outside on the patio! Beer and water will not break the bank either. There were 2 bars open when we went. One inside and one outside on the patio. They do not serve food here themselves typically but during our visit there was an independent person selling hot dogs and quesadillas outside on the patio.

Nice place for a concert that’s very small, so no matter where you are, you have a good spot. Very intimate with the artists. Marquis made one of the best hot dogs I’ve ever had. I overall enjoyed the vibe of the place and the music they played before the show and in between sets.

Great intimate music venue that definitely has its own vibe.and history. I've been coming to Old Dirty Sunday's on and off for the last few years. Cheap and reasonable drink prices, good peeps and break dancing?!? It has my vote...If you love old school/underground hip hop this is the night for you. Saw TWRP here and the show was awesome. The people working here were slightly aggressive but I understand having to be firm when working at a place like this. However, the bartender was pretty rude to me for not being as quick with my order as she wanted. Overall a good experience though.

Very cool spot. A very nice patio area outside and seating inside as well as a huge bar. Staff has always been very kind. Ladies bathroom is clean! I've had some late nights here and the bathroom has always been well taken care of. I've seen a few shows here. The set up and stage is always on point. You can hear the music from the patio. I always have a good time!

Great venue, most staff is friendly. Had a bad experience with going into the venue. Some of the guys checking people in made several comments that made me feel coerced into tipping them. I tend to tip on my way out and would have probably left a larger tip after having such a great time but the experience left a sour taste in my mouth.

An absolute treasure in a historic city. This venue is eclectic and intimate. The staff is top notch. The atmosphere is so cool and the shows rock! I love the variety of entertainment from big names to local talent. Always outrageously epic! GO! And you're welcome 😊
