Beautiful day at Al Lopez Park. We walked the path around the park. Didn't see a piece of trash anywhere on the ground. So nice! People were out with their kids at the playground. Saw people out with their dogs. Even saw some people on their bikes on the path. I took some nice nature pics while we were there. Really enjoyed the day.

This is a great place to bring the family. There are a couple playgrounds, several shelters, picnic tables, wide open fields, a trail around the park, beautiful trees, lots of squirrels, plenty of parking.

Very clean and well maintained, you'll feel safe. We come here often to run at the park, there's a nice hill to run around I saw someone working out here one time and fell on their way down and fortunately they were not hurt lol thanks to the grass that was well maintained. People here are nice. They have a great size dog park and kiddie playground too. Great place for families and friends to gather since they have plenty of picnic tables too.

A wonderful park that is nearly hidden until you know it is there! Very clean, clean restrooms and full of natural beauty. Some nice views as we waited in line for Covid testing. Had no idea of the scale of the park until looking at a satellite view. We plan to return and walk the trails and enjoy nature. Bottom line: Highly Recommend

My first time at this park. It's beautifully maintained. There are several shelters with grills for family outings and 3 playgrounds for the little ones. I am looking forward to returning and enjoying everything about Al Lopez Park.

Darling little park. Visited on a week day during late morning hours and there was almost no one around. Great spot for a run or to hang out. There is a beautiful monument with letters written by children with cancer. Itโ€™s sad but also joyful to read what they had to say. Itโ€™s a well kept park and I enjoyed visiting.

The Al Lopez Park is conveniently located between Dale Mabry Hwy, Himes Ave, MLK and Hillsborough Ave. It is a large tree covered park with 2 large lakes, trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, dog park, run/walk track, community center, docks, bat shelters, tables and a basketball court. It is pet friendly, kid friendly and exercise friendly. The park hosts many events that are mostly latino in nature...food, music and dance. It also provides parking for events at the stadium and hosts corporate events. There is lots of shade and places to sit. The community center also has some community activites including martial arts.

Super nice and clean, a really spot to have a nice day until you see some other people kids hitting the animals out here, not really the park fault but we need more knowledge about how to respect lives.

Beautiful park, I love coming here when I have the opportunity. Dog park is so spacious and there are two different areas to choose from. They're doing free COVID testing here. Even though the lines for tests are horrendous, it's better than nothing. Here and only one other park have the testing in Tampa.

Huge park with multiple playgrounds, several nice walking trails, ponds, and usually an ice cream truck. Plus it is THE place to play Pokรฉmon GO in Tampa!

Great park for everyone. Adults, teens, kids, dogs. Thereโ€™s ample parking, workout stations, lunch tables & benches. Thereโ€™s bathrooms on the grounds as well. Many shady areas to protect you from that Florida heat! Love this park!

We rented shelter 315 for a family reunion. It had plenty of space and was near the playground and had 4 grills. The bathrooms aren't great and there's no drive up path to drop off your supplies. Definitely bring a wagon or 2 to lug your stuff. Overall it's a quiet, spacious setting.

Great size park. It definitely needs maintenance; garbage spread throughout the park. The existing buildings/bbq areas and the stability of the ramps/bridges and trails are in need of some TLC. Update 07/17/23 A couple little sections of the boardwalk have been patched/fixed, yet the whole structure itself is still quite old and showing extensive signs of humidity damage. The garbage around the park seems to be a constant that hasnโ€™t changed. The park still needs more trash cans especially around the loop trail where most this garbage ends up ultimately within the woods and bushes and beyond.

Great park with trails, open fields, multiple playground areas, benches, shelters AND clean restrooms with soap. There is also a community center in site. This park is usual very busy on the weekends and the front is currently being used as a covid testing site (as of Jan 5th 2022) so choose your time to visit wisely.

Its a fun park. With trails for bikes or skaters and a playground. They often have events like concerts and other stuff. They also have Covid-19 testing in one of the areas. Very convenient for a free day out of the house!

Plenty of pavilion plenty of picnic tables restroom playgrounds fishing docks trails to walk rivers basketball court to play ball. Plenty of parking lot space. If you want to throw a party I would definitely recommend this place. You get your own pavilion it has electric outlets on both sides of the pavilion. There are trash cans for your trash and plenty of picnic tables to seat your guests. you can ride your bike walk your dog go fishing take a walk through the trails. Look at nature in all its beautifully well made landscapes. It's open from dust til dawn. It is right down the street from the BUCS stadium. It is a great picture-worthy place for any occasion. I definitely recommend this park.

Nice park. The fence is only about 3 feet so if your dog is a jumper you might consider a different park
