Having been let down my multiple other Sushi establishments in the area via Uber Eats, I decided to give this one a try. I ordered a roll of Angel Hair and a roll of Scorched Earth. In the picture, the above is the Angel Hair and the one below is the Scorched Earth. I found the Angel Hair to be absolutely delicious; the other was fine (nothing wrong with it) but I personally didn’t like it as much as Angel Hair. I highly recommend this Sushi spot if you are in the area!

So I wasn't sure what to expect. But, this place is definitely a hole in the wall. The sushi isn't a ton of rice. Its almost all filling and the proportions are massive. I will be coming here every time i'm in Tampa. Also one of the only places ive been to around here that make sure they have low sodium soy sauce. Check the size next to the chop sticks.

The food was only good because I was hungry lol. The one roll I had was fried and had more breading than actual sushi. The other roll I had had (I put a picture) spicy tuna on top and it looked like cat food. I won’t be going back…

Apps were good, entrees were ok. Not the best I've had, but not the worst either. Soup served with lunch special was cloudy. I don't think I'd return, nothing special about the taste of the food. We dined in, it was hot in the restaurant. Both the person I went with and myself were sweaty while eating. Service was attentive.

I came to Tampa this week on a business trip from Arizona and was hoping to try some fresh sushi. I was pleased when I called to double check if the items I was about to be ordering were gluten free because the gentleman that answered the phone was very knowledgeable and was able to educate me. I placed a Grubhub order to this restaurant and was very disappointed with the food that arrived. I ordered an ocean roll and a new york roll. Both sushi rolls did not taste fresh at all. I was surprised that this sushi was not fresh tasting with how close Tampa is to the ocean. In the New York roll I did like the ratio of all the ingredients and the sauce was great. It's just very disappointing that the star of the dish (the fish components) tasted off and ruined the dish. The Ocean roll had overly dry baked salmon and the baked scallops had almost no taste. The crab meat, avocado and rice where well balanced for the portion for each bite but again 2/3 of the sea food elements did not hit the mark. Since the crabmeat, cream cheese and avocado are cold but the other elements were hot the sushi roll did not balance well temprature wise or taste wise for a delivery dish. Also, the roll itself isnt the most attractive looking roll once you get it. Very disappointed for two rolls costing $50.00. I would not recommend this restaurant and I don't plan on eating here again.

Been hitting up Origami for a few years after moving to Tampa. It is without a doubt the best value you are going to get sushi-wise in the Bay Area. I have yet to have a single bad or disappointing experience with their business, and have likely ordered over 100 times. After trying many other sushi joints in town, I have always found myself coming back to Origami because of their consistency in quality, portions, and pricing. They do a fantastic job, with friendly service too. Check it out!

I got some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had from here today. There was waaaay too much rice, avocado, and cream cheese compared to the fish. The taste was not good either. I ordered a salad as well and the ingredients looked expired

Great noodles, sushi was really good as well. A small simple place with awesome service. Anthony our server was very friendly and helpful in helping us make a decision. To me atmosphere is not a deal breaker. Totally recommend this place.

I order from here about once a week, have been in a few times but either way the sushi is consistently amazing. This place is much better than the other sushi spots around Tampa while being reasonably priced. I order all sauces on the side because the fish is so fresh it doesn’t need it.

Went there for the first time during lunch on a Sunday. Very cozy place. Service is great. Lunch special was perfect. Ordered the Mexican roll, spicy tuna roll, and salmon roll. Comes with salad and soup for ~$18. Sushi is fresh and quality is great. Highly recommend!

AMAZING!!! Do you ever feel like restaurants stopped caring about the quality of your food? Not Origami sushi! I was first introduced because of my manager, and I keep coming back. The man greeting you at the front is always kind and professional, the food is made within reasonable time and it always exceeds your expectations

Listen, I myself work at a sushi restaurant in South Tampa and understand how frustrating it can be when it comes to delivery drivers. I myself do this on the side outside of work just to make some extra money…. Whoever the man at the host stand was, was extremely rude tonight with glasses. I told him who I was picking up for and he gave me a bag…. It was not until I started driving away where I caught that it was the wrong customer… so as anyone else would do I called back and I let him know that I was given the wrong order, but I’m gonna come back for the correct one. He tried making it seem like it was my fault, and when I came into the restaurant, he made a side, comments and said under his breath “ maybe you should actually check the order” in this case there’s fault on both ends, but I caught it and I came back and returned the other one and got the correct one. But for him to make any comment is extremely unprofessional and rude. He even walked outside the door. When I told him all you “ did was give me the wrong order.” And he came out the door saying. “What did you say?!” so dramatically. I don’t really have any bad experiences when doing this, but this was truly bizarre. Not even in takeout at the restaurant I work at which is extremely high-end. Would I ever speak to anyone like that?

Good rolls, cute place, attentive service. The miso soup tasted off, but otherwise was a nice spot and experience.

Came during the lunch special time. My partner had the sushi combo, 6 pieces of sushi and a California roll, I got the beef teriyaki bento, with rice, two pieces if gyoza and a California roll. Both our meals came with miso soup and ginger salad. We’re so full but not sick full. Food was tasty. Spent $40 before tip. Can’t beat that.

The sushi was amazing. The staff was super kind and very helpful on helping decide. There was a few other staff that asked us if we needed anything. Felt like we were treated like royalty. Hope everyone gets this same experience. Please be well and take care. Truly an amazing hidden gem. Their lunch special is amazing and very affordable. The staff here is so sweet and I love coming here every time it is amazing experience. Every time I'm in town I have to come here!!!!

My girlfriend and I wanted sushi so we decided to try this place. The server was friendly. We both had a ginger salad which was delicious. I got miso soup, it was decent. We ordered 2 rolls. There was a piece of plastic in one of the pieces of sushi. We told the manager and she took it off the bill. The sushi was ok, I’ve had better. I would go somewhere else for sushi

The avocado bomb appetizer was delicious 😋 the lava roll wasn't made the same and the fish was rubbery. Other than that it was good.

The 🍣 sushi was good but not great, but definitely better then Publix. The bento box 🍱 was average they didn’t marinate the chicken the sauce was definitely just dumped on top.

The sushi and experience were perfect! I highly recommend this location if you’re ever in the need of a nice place to eat. I am also curious if anyone can tell me where they buy their tea set and the plates you’re given for sushi.

I really enjoy this restaurant. Each time I've gone has been during happy hour. The drinks are delicious. The food is fresh and tasty. The customer service is great. The wait times aren't long at all.

An unique approach to sushi. The menu offers a wide variety of rolls that are not typical of your average sushi bar. The rice was cooked to perfection and the seafood was fresh and delectable.
