We have moved and this gym is not where we live, so my partner called to cancel the membership he had for years, and now he wants to cancel and what they do is make excuses not to cancel and continue stealing money, he has not done it. I haven't been to the gym for a year and we've been calling for months and they haven't cancelled. Before opening a membership with them, think about it 10 times. I thought it was a good gym and what they are are thieves.

I absolutely love the gym and it's equipment but it's so busy I can only go during the last hours of the gym being open. Multiple nights their announcements from the employees about the gym closing get out of hand. Sometimes they make an announcement every 15 minutes. Another night they kept tapping the microphone up until they closed. I'm all for telling members about the gym closing one or two times but its almost always more than that most nights. Some nights they even turn off the music a full hour before they close which is fine if you are wearing headphones, but extremely weird when working out with friends.

Just moved closer to this location, from the new St Pete facility. I must say, it is shocking this gym is owned by the same company/franchise owner. The amount of down equipment is astounding. How is it possible that less than half of the stairclimber’s are not functional? Staff needs to get up and walk around, not just sit behind the desk!

They’ve been painting for what seems like forever. They paint on cold days when paint won’t even cure properly. Lots of VOC’s. Headache city. Also no enforcement from dbags throwing weights around, slamming them on the ground abusing equipment, filthy bathrooms, and members working out barefoot. This is the worst crunch in the area. And that says a lot. Update: I was asked to stop by the gym to discuss it further with management. What is to be discussed? Stop wasting time talking and start hiring better staff that will enforce the rules. Schedule painting for the weekend nights when you’re closed. Clean your bathrooms and equipment on a schedule, problem solved. I’ll just keep going to the Channelside location instead. I don’t need to come in and explain to you how to competently perform your job responsibilities.

SCAMMERS!! Please read all the reviews abt them taking your credit card information and cont. To charge you without premision. Crunch Fitness Scam Alert! They get your credit card information then after you cancel your membership they continue to charge you. It’s virtually impossible to get them to stop charging my credit. Ive had to file fraud with the BBB . Anf suing them in court. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! There are multiple reviews with ppl stating they con. To charge them as well. UPDATE to Response : I canceled 2x times in person and 2over the phone. And was once even told by your staff “ What do u expect? We get paid $11hrly! They dont pay us enough to care!” when i asked Why he didn’t originally submit the form when he charged me the cxl Fee!? The employee that Charged me the fee but was new ( and didn’t correctly submit the other form ) was fired 3wks later for job preformance ( per your employee). Your manager said it was “ my fault he didn’t do it correctly “ and would not get a refund. Months later Garret at SOuth Dale M. Stated. He cxled me but ONCE again he didn’t correctly submit the online form and I was Cont. charge my card. So the 4th time James at South Dale. stated Garret was new and it didn’t go through (despite me having 2 receipts that I can post here as well. That the membership was canceled) . Your employees Have consistently been condescending and rude. Gaslighting the situation. Which is consistent with the negative reviews on here about your staff. I gave you the 1 star because the gym is actually well equipped. But your staff work ethic attention to detail and overall care about their job is disruptive & dishonest at BEST. And I can post the emails & recordings if you like?

This is by far the worst gym in providing customer service and convenience. My debit card was lost and I made attempts to contact the facility and update my information. I left voice messages to receive a call back and no one return my call. I tried to update my credit card information on the app as it states in the notification you receive about you account. When attempting to do that I kept getting an error message. Its hard for me to go into the location considering my work schedule. At that point I even attempted trying to contact someone online and no one responded to my request either. They could not return a call or message but they did not hesitate to charge me that $10.00 late fee. I finally got someone on the phone after days and he had no clue as to what I was requesting he proceeded to explain that he was new and his boss was not there and requested for me to call back later. By this time I am heated because you should not be answering the phone if you are not able to assist a customer. Well when I went back and checked my account the fees that were applied were deleted. Now I am trying to cancel my membership and again due to my work schedule I am not able to cancel over the phone or online. This is such a inconvenience I have to go into the gym. But I guess at $10.70 what do you expect for the price.

It’s absolutely impossible to cancel or freeze your membership, so your card will continue to be charged no matter the circumstances. As a college student who is struggling to get hired, as the hiring process in this area is nearly impossible, I needed my account to be at least frozen for a month in order to avoid my account being over drafted. There is no way to avoid this apparently, and I wish it was disclosed when I paid my enrollment fee and signed up. In this same month that I needed it to be frozen, I was charged a $53 club fee. They’re just looking to make quick money and could care less about your situation. In reality, fitness and providing a positive gym experience for their customers is not what their business is about. If you want to be harassed by workers to pay for items that cost extra in the gym each and every time you attend, I would highly recommend Crunch. $75 that I paid this month could have been spent at a much better facility.

This is the first time I've ever left a negative review so for me to do this its pretty bad. The gym is ok and the trainers are decent. Customer service sucks but that typical at gyms. Big problem here is that once you give them your payment info thats it. They have been trying to bill me for 2 YEARS even calling on a sunday (today). Why? I moved away and they require you come in to the same original branch to sign paperwork to cancel. I have tried multiple times to cancel over the phone. I had to block them from charging my card and now they harrass me like I owed something. Poor customer service and business model. I have a crunch gym in my new area I pass by everyday to go to my current gym that's more expensive but I refuse to do business with a company like this. Hope you do the same because it will be fun and all good (maybe) until you decide you don't want to be billed anymore.

Very solid gym! Came as a guest and I was very surprised with how well put together this gym was. Had almost every piece of equipment I needed, and everything almost any fitness enthusiast would want. It even had a sauna which was really nice! Only real con to my experience was that it was packed. According to the person I went with that was very calm for them, and that most days they have to wait for some of the more high trafficked pieces of equipment. But I think it’s a great gym for the price.

Crunch Fitness in South Tampa is an exceptional gym that thoroughly impressed me. Notably clean and hygienic The gym boasts an array of varied equipment, catering to all fitness levels, and workout styles. Crunch Fitness also offers an easy and hassle-free sign-up process. Michal was friendly, transparent, and knowledgeable, making it easy to navigate through their various membership options. Their affordable pricing provides an excellent value, making this a competitive option in today's fitness market. One impressive aspect is their dedicated program for businesses. They offer corporate memberships, encouraging companies to foster their employees' well-being, contributing to a balanced and positive working environment.

Amazing gym, and this really isn’t their fault, but they’ve outgrown themselves. I know early morning is peak time, but do not plan to get a consistent workout at this time. You will be waiting, waiting, and waiting. Between the number of people already waiting for machines, and folks taking 5 to 10 minutes to rest between sets playing on their phone, you will be there for at least three hours.

I have been going to multiple crunch locations for years. One of my favorite parts has always been the environment created by the employees. South Tampa has been great, but in the last few weeks their customer service has declined significantly. Does not have the welcoming environment that crunch locations usually have and seems like their new employees have not been trained properly.

WARNING - Unethical, Fraudulent Billing Practices in the South Tampa Crunch Gym - My Visa card was charged to pay on a personal training contract that is NOT MY ACCOUNT. I NEVER gave authorization for my card to be the card "on file" on that account, nor did I authorize any charge to my card for that account. The Personal Trainer manager, Mike, blew me off. His manager, Mark, would not speak to me but said that "he would send me an email later." I have reported this as FRAUD to my bank. I am also trying (albeit unsuccessfully) to escalate this matter to someone in Crunch Corporate.

This place is such a rip off, they keep taking money out of my account even though we canceled in person. I tired to call and no one on the phone was very helpful, it seems like a bunch of kids are running this place. I had to block my account to stop them from taking money out. The personal trainers are crooks not explaining what you are signing and still will not cancel even if you tell them in person. I am so disappointed in this place, now I know why it is so cheap they just keep taking money out of your account even when you cancel.

I tried to cancel my membership today and was shocked by how poorly this place is run. I have not used the location for 9 months and am no longer living near the location yet the agent would not let me cancel over the phone or via email. The woman was rude and could have cared less which was the same attitude I ran into when I was using the place 9 months prior. My advice to the owner is find some educated people that understand customer service. Hard to believe during a pandemic and the week of thanksgiving they will not let a person cancel their membership that is expired? These people have no shame nor do they care about customers. It’s all about money and getting you to repay every month via your credit card in the hopes you will not notice. Then make it extremely difficult to cancel. Frankly it’s appalling. Avoid this location and franchise at all costs!! Terrible way to run a business.

This is a very sketchy corporate gym. I had a Terrible time trying to cancel my membership. They continued to charge me for three months after I canceled and basically robbed me. Do your self a favor and go to Joe Abrams fitness and wellness at ballast point. It’s ran by the city of Tampa and they just got a bunch of new equipment. It’s also not as crowded. Edit: I did stop by and my problem was not resolved. A gym that calls itself a club is not a place I wish to spend my time.

I guess I will try this route to get my issues solved. I have been a long time member at crunch even though I don't get there much. I merged my account over to a business partnership after Riley begged me join. She told me there was a $259 annual fee so I let her know I was not interested because my business budget couldn't afford it. She told me she would waive the annual fee for me - I have screenshots of this - if I came in before the end of that day, so I did. Well, I ended up being charged the annual fee, so of course I'm upset because she clearly lied. I tried calling the gym, she left me on hold for a long period of time so I hung up. I called again and was put on hold, I drove to the gym to see at least 4 people standing at the desk while I was still on hold. I went into the gym, confronted Riley, just to be lied to because she told me she would call me later in the day to update me on what she could do. She swore she said she would waive the second monthly fee, which she didn't do either because I was charged nearly $500 August for all of this. This is how long I have been waiting for a response. She called and left a message saying she would have the charge refunded. It's been over a month and still nothing, this is ridiculous!! I also told her I wanted to cancel my membership because clearly they are frauds and they haven't done that either! I have been ghosted for nearly 3 months by these people, so long that when I call to talk to someone most of the guys know who I am, ridiculous!! I have been more than patient and I pray that I get some type of answer this time around because I'm ready to call a lawyer, or Behnkin from Bay News 9. My boyfriend was also supposed to have his regular membership transferred over to our business partnership, but he was also still charged regular monthly fees as well as the annual fee, and now all of a sudden those charges have stopped. This is insane.

The business practices of this gym/establishment is DREADFUL, run away and don't look back! I've reached out and had my account removed around may 2023. They reach out to me and say that I have an outstanding bill of $200+ because I haven't paid. So I jumped on the phone and made the call and completed the payment. I was informed that my account WAS removed from Crunch fitness. This was in August. Just realized that I October, I'm STILL getting charged from this gym. Furthermore, if you want to have your account removed, you can only do it in person or have a HAND WRITTEN letter sent to them. ADDITIONALLY, you have to pay another month extra to cancel said membership TLDR: Shady business. I'd have given 0/5 if I could

Terrible experience. The trainer cheated me when I contacted him to buy 2 training sessions of 30 minutes each, he issued me a subscription for 3 months, one session per week. When I asked him about it, he said that he is not technically able to sell only 2 sessions, but after being charged for the first 2 sessions, I should ask him to cancel the subsequent payments. I did so, to which he replied that they could not cancel the subsequent payments and I had to pay them for the entire 3 months, even if I did not take any training. The trainers blatantly lied to me, so I cannot recommend this gym. The trainer's name is Joey.

I love Crunch South Tampa. My whole family goes there. We find it has a friendly atmosphere and its staff are very helpful. There are times when it gets a bit busy but I always find my place for a workout. They also have a excellent team of personal trainers available for you to safely get the most out of your workouts. My personal experience training with Michael Short has been excellent. He is very knowledgeable and makes sure that I am doing the exercises correctly. He prepares a different workout for each class so they are never boring and always challenging. Thanks to his dedication, motivation and personalized approach I have been able to loose more than 20 lbs, regain my strength and my health. I feel great!! I highly recommend Michael and Crunch South Tampa.

I’m encouraged by the new manager. He seems to be on top of things. Previously this gym was plagued with maintenance issues and broken machines. This time around it seems to be in better shape and management is more responsive. I wish they would go through the gym periodically and return the dumbbells since people carry them off and don’t return them. Also the paper towel dispensers are frequently empty. Group classes are decent and a nice way to break up your routine. Very spacious facility with plenty of parking.

It's really annoying to get hit up for money when you are just trying to do a workout...first the kids charity (which I'm sure is a great and worthy cause) before you even make it inside the building, and then pushy employees trying to talk you into signing up for a personal trainer...once the person says "no thank you", plowing forward with your sales pitch becomes harrassment...if you want to get extra money from me, how 'bout offering 24 hour access? I would happily pay an extra $20 a month to be able to work out in the middle of the night, with no waits for the machines

Crunch South Tampa is a great gym… best in Tampa Bay in my book and one of the best I’ve ever been to. With my business travel and me relocating several times I have worked out in over 100 gyms from local and private to big and nationwide, so I’m pretty well qualified to rate gyms. The Crunch gym on S. Dale Mabry is laid out well, is clean, has all the equipment you need and the staff and overall vibe make it a fun place to work out. Give it a shot… you won’t be disappointed!

The manager, Vic? Nice guy, very nice and helpful. Only 3 stars because of the hard sell attempts for personal training by the one trainer. I shouldn't have to say no more than twice. Very annoying. Also, elevator was not working so my dad couldn't get upstairs to use the cardio equipment. However, kudos to the manager for offering to bring an elliptical downstairs for him if needed the next time ..(if the elevator was still not working). If someone needs help with a machine, you shouldn't have an employee tell you that they can't help unless you hire them as a personal trainer. This is why my friend cancelled her membership.

I tried to cancel my membership in June 2022. I went to the website to cancel it and after filling out the form, I was told someone will reach out to confirm the cancellation. Until the moment, August 2022 my credit card has been charging monthly fees and annual fees. I called the branch where my membership is, and I was told i need to cancel in person, but I moved away from tampa back in June. They said the second option is writing a letter!! Who writes letters in 2022! I should write a letter to cancel my membership. While i signed up online in 3 seconds. There’s no faster way to take your money, but you need to write a certified letter in order to stop charging you credit card. So disappointed and I wish i never signed up, because my card is being charged until the moment.

This is the only gym that I has ever made me want to keep coming back. My trainer Hien is literally the best, he has helped me with gym confidence, coached me through an injury, and encouraged me in finding a passion for fitness and health. If you come here, ask for him.

When you decide to cancel it’s going to be a mission. Manager and employee I spoke with to cancel no longer work there. They didn’t process my cancellation “correctly.” Still being billed and now they want to charge the annual fee. No matter what time you go, the gym is extremely packed at near 110% occupancy, there should be a cap on how many memberships they sell. Welp, one thing’s for sure, you get what you pay for. Also, In order to receive discounts and such they will ask you to leave a review while in their presence. Hence…..

Crunch is a nice enough gym, very clean, lots of machines, does the trick. You get what you pay for in terms of how busy it is during peak hours. The true hidden gem of this gym is the personal trainer program, particularly one of their trainers, Felicia. Felicia personally reached out to me over a year ago upon seeing my file and made it her mission to help me (a 20-something with zero nutritional education) learn how to eat properly and truly fuel my body with the proper diet. She is an exceptional trainer in all the ways a client could expect - devoted, kind, and immensely knowledgeable on all things fitness and diet. Beyond creating phenomenal workout plans specific for each and every client, she is also an incredibly trustworthy friend and advisor in all aspects of your fitness journey. Aside from helping me get stronger and more lean, she has offered assistance in countless other areas of my life that is truly invaluable as a client. As someone who was once intimidated by gym culture and the idea of pursuing a fitness journey, I will never be able to thank her enough for helping me go above and beyond my goals. If you are looking for a devoted and compassionate trainer who will work tirelessly to help you achieve your goals, look no further than Felicia at the personal training bar!

I was told I can only cancel my membership by sending a LETTER and then going IN PERSON to sign a document. They ignored my emails for months and then when I switched banks they had the nerve to email asking me to update my payment info. They still haven't responded to my initial emails. I told them I'm not updating anything. They said they won't cancel my membership even though I haven't been to this gym in a YEAR. This is the first review I have ever written in my life and the only reason I did is because of this terrible process and experience. BEWARE.

I loved going to this crunch location before March (start of pandemic). I returned today since the start of the pandemic and barely anyone was wearing a mask. People were literally walking into the gym without a mask, walking around without a mask, and I saw multiple people not wiping down the equipment after using it. Staff doesn’t seem to care. I kept my mask on while working out the entire time as I didn’t feel safe.

These people should be ashamed of themselves. I moved during covid and the gym was closed. I tried calling and e mailed on several occasions to tell the about my move. They still continued to try and charge me even though THEY were closed and left no other options for cancelation. They also refused to e mail details of where to send a cancellation letter. Total scum.

So I’ve been coming here since they opened back in 2016. I travel around the area a lot and I’ve been to about a dozen different Crunch locations. This is by far the best, and it’s not even close. Since the newer GM (Nick) took over this location, they have gone from a good cheap gym to an exceptional overall gym. The place is always sparkling clean, unlike other crunch locations. I’ve been to several where the showers have been consistently downright disgusting. These are always clean, stocked, and free of any mildew, build up, mold etc. The locker room and sauna are consistently clean and never smell bad. Their janitors do an excellent job and I even see Nick constantly walking around sanitizing equipment and putting weights away. The clientele is courteous and respectful for the most part. I rarely find the obnoxious lifter throwing their weights around or the guy blasting music from his phone. Most of the people follow general gym etiquette and are pleasant to be around. Since re-opening after the closure for the pandemic, this location has been the best crunch ive been to at making me feel safe and healthy. Like I said earlier, the staff is constantly sanitizing and cleaning, and most of the gym guests wipe down after themselves. It never seems to be ridiculously crowded either, unlike the hillsboro or channelside location. The real kicker for me is the overall maintenance of the equipment and the building itself. If a machine or piece of equipment goes down, they are incredibly fast at repairing them. They even make upgrades and repairs to stuff that doesn’t necessarily NEED it. For instance, this week (11/9/20) they just completely redid the men’s sauna. It’s gorgeous in there now with new wood and benches. And even before that, it was consistently working and working well unlike other crunch locations where it would be down for weeks at a time... this location constantly updates their shower equipment too and the shower curtains never even get a little bit gross. I feel very safe here. I wrote this hoping that Crunch corporate would see this and give praise to Nick and the staff. They are awesome. If only every other crunch operated this way. Worth every penny of my membership I’ve had for 5 years now.

Good place to work out but if you go at peak hours it feels more like a night club rather than a gym because it gets so packed

Just like all of the other Crunch Gyms I have visited, this gym is great. Lots of equipment, plenty of free weights, machines, squat cages, and they're always walking around cleaning up. Only thing that would make it better would be more squat cages. That's just my opinion however, so I have no doubt you'd be pleased here if you've read this far in my review. There's a dry sauna, and some deep tissue massage things too, I'm more of a free weight and cardio guy. Check em out!

This is a really great gym. The machines are top-notch and the dumbbell and squat rack area is also great. Cardio area upstairs is also solid. It is no surprise that Crunch is one of the most popular gyms in Tampa.

This is my favorite crunch, but not just because it’s in the perfect location and a great deal. The staff here go above and beyond! The classes are excellent and will give you great results, as well as a good place to socialize safely with all the sanitizing and big open space. With such a high ceiling allowing for airflow, and regular sanitizing, this gym is a safe and fun place to workout.

There is nothing you can do to alleviate my issues with over crowding, constantly having to wait on equipment and patrons that just SIT on equipment looking at phone having ZERO respect for those waiting to use said equipment. .

She has been more than a trainer to me and has been a great friend and someone who I can trust. This girl deserves the world and so happy I met her! Love crunch and what they have to offer!

I have been coming here for about 5 months. I train with C’era, and I just love her. She’s so knowledgeable and creative with the workouts. She listened to my goals and pushes me to help achieve them. I feel stronger than I ever have. Plus this gym is super clean! Def recommend!

I am very happy with this gym and my membership. Very clean a lot of equipment even when they are busy I always get the work out done. Plus they have a lot of group classes. C’era is my personal trainer by far the best. I started this process because I wanted to gain confidence, strength and overall my main focus has been to gain healthy weight (muscle mass). In a period less than 2 months I started to see results now we are 4 months in and I gained 8lbs and went down 4% body fat. I have always struggled gaining weight but she has helped me make it happen. She has been a great support and without her help I wouldn’t be feeling as happy as I feel right now. Can wait to meet my goal. I definitely recommend everyone to work with her and you will see results. Very knowledgeable trainer.

Scam artists. Was promised upon signing up that all crunches were equipped with same amenities and that it would be easy to transfer home clubs once moved. When I moved, I realized that the sales people at this location are misinformed or lying to customers to make sales. The crunch in the city I moved to (DENVER) does not have a sauna or tanning bed as promised by sales associate. The new club informed me I would have to cancel with this crunch and that transferring the membership wasn’t possible. So I decided to keep the billing at this location until finding a new gym. Canceling was a nightmare. Called to find out how to cancel. Was told I have to mail a certified letter from my local post office. So I did. Today I woke up from a charge from crunch despite my cancellation. When I called to see why I received a charge, they told me because I needed to give them 30 days notice, something I was just learning, and had only given them 27. They said I was pending to cancel and would not receive any more charges after today. I asked to speak to a manager because it’s ludicrous that they would have such an untrained and uninformed staff and still charge me after cancellation. The manager told me it was in my contract and that I was “all set on any future charges”. He was unhelpful and condescending and ignored my request for a refund for this month. Because multiple employees at this location have mislead me leading to spend unnecessary money, I believe it is their prerogative to make sales at any cost, even if it means lying to the consumer. Take your money to any other gym. It’s not too worth the hassle and fees it’s going to cost you in the long run working out at this facility.

I am a relatively new member at Crunch but I can honestly say that my experience so far has been amazing! The gym is always clean as well as organized and the staff is so welcoming/helpful. I never have any trouble completing any of my workouts and my trainer Kylee has been the biggest asset on my fitness journey. She’s kind, attentive, and truly cares about my goals and helping me to reach them. I’ve always had anxiety about going to the gym but since starting my training with her I’ve gained so much confidence. I would recommend this Crunch location to anyone experienced or not and if you’re looking for quality Personal Training I absolutely highly recommend you train with Kylee !

Christina that works there is VERY Dishonest. She said they refuse to take credit cards. This is not TRUE. I had a Corp account with my entire staff that we used credit cards for everything at Crunch Channelside. She demanded my Routing and Checking account number. IT IS NOT IN THE APP on my phone for security reasons. What is the 90's???? VERY RUDE, bad attitude and should be fired. There was also a man that got right in my face about other services that I did not want or need. He was VERY RUDE as well. They advertise a "NO CONTRACT" policy but here is the REAL Scoop! If you are cancelling your Crunch membership early before the first year is up, you will be required to pay an early termination administration fee of $25, plus $175. At the end of the 30-day period following your notice of cancellation, you will no longer accrue fees with Crunch Gym. This is the tiny print that the don't verbally disclose to you. VERY DISHONEST.

As a 58 year old man who needed to lose weight for health reasons and to feel and look good again I toured Crunch and hired Zach as my personal trainer. The guy is awesome and really knows what he is doing. He has shown me the right way to work out and always is smiling and in a good mood. He makes me feel comfortable in the gym environment. He caters to my needs and strengths and weaknesses. If your thinking about hiring a trainer Zach is the man!!!

I finally feel good about being back in the gym after 5+ years. I signed up for one-on-one training with trainer Matheus and it has made the world of difference. I now know how to lift the weights properly, he has personalized a plan for me and I’m already seeing results. Also, this gym is not full of meat heads so that’s nice. Thank you South Tampa Crunch!

I’ve been going to this crunch for quite a while. Gave it less than 5 stars a while back cause the fans and some equipment was really dirty and dusty. But this crunch has made a major comeback. Always clean, most of the machines work and they fix the ones that don’t pretty quickly. The trainers are great and the environment has always been very nice and welcoming. A little packed at all hours but most gyms around here that I’ve been to are packed. Still a great gym if you need your gains

I’ve been training at this location for almost a year now with Hien. Hien is an excellent trainer and I have nothing but good things to say about him. I’m a young female and he has always made me feel more than comfortable and is always professional. Hien is very thorough with his workouts with me and explains everything in detail. I had some knee and mobility issues and he fixed it for me! He goes above and beyond to accommodate me and my busy schedule. I’m always reminded before my workout so I don’t forget. Hien is very empathetic and understanding, he’s seen me through my highs and lows and pushes me to my limits. As far as the gym goes I usually go when it’s not too crowded and it’s typically okay. The rush hours can be a little hectic as it’s a busy gym but I plan around that. The staff is friendly and the gym is pretty clean.

Was underwhelmed by the machines that they had, facility was hotter than most gyms, doesn’t offer covered parking and they still use spray and paper towels to wipe down equipment. Prefer other Crunch locations compared to this one and since none of the Crunch’s in Tampa are that great, I workout at LA Fitness and would suggest it over Crunch.

Wanted to give an updated review... I've been a member of South Tampa Crunch for over 3 years now and have seen the gym evolve, mostly for the better. Most recently, they've remodeled it, adding more equipment, and moved the HIT, and class equipment upstairs. This is a good move since it allows more room for free weight equipment on the first floor with no interference from classes. The one complaint I have is the new bright-white LED lighting - annoying! Lastly, Greg, is my personal trainer. He's been my trainer for most of the 3 years at Crunch. This year, I'm 100% dedicated to my health and fitness and have signed up for 3 sessions per week with Greg. For me, having a trainer is a must as it keeps me coming into the gym, especially those days when my brain says no; and holds me accountable. Greg breaks up my workout routines so we are constantly challenging my muscles. He's mindful of injuries I've had and finds creative ways of working around them. He also offers nutrition advice - which I'm still working on!

So I forgot I even had a membership, that's on me for not going. My CC was stolen replaced. So when they tried to call me to get new payment info it was a reminder and I thought I should start going again and was going to give them the new info. But what happens? Every time I answer the call from the Mumbai call center it hangs up, for 7 days in a row. I know this because I finally called them back and told them to not call any more!

I been a member at this location for a few months now and let me say Fabiola (Fabi) is one of the best at this location, she’s so friendly and welcoming she makes me feel comfortable and is always giving me tips and advice on how to be better and she speaks Spanish which is a PLUS! I had billing issues that I tried to address with the “managers” Garret and Hunter and they never called me back to resolve the problem but Fabi helped me in 2 seconds!

Been going to this gym for quite a few years and have had Hien as a coach for the better part of 2023. If you're considering a trainer, I highly recommend Hien. He's incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and takes the time to explain the "why" behind certain exercises. He understands that there isn't a "one-size fits all" approach to training and takes the time to understand your goals (whether it's corrective rehab, nutrition, weight loss, bodybuilding, or a combination of goals) and creates a specialized program to help you achieve those goals.

Not a bad gym but probably the worst out of the Crunch Fitness from an operational stand point. Peak hours are from about 6-8am and this is when they decide to hold their group classes which takes up a whole room even if there is only 1 person in it. This holds up equipment and every landmine in the gym for hours and forces everyone in the gym to one area making an already crowded gym more crowded. Holding the classes during less crowded times would make this gym a lot better.
