Visiting from Dallas, TX this week and we went with this Y as our Y for the week. We took advantage of the Nationwide membership and check in here was the easiest out of all the branches I’ve ever visited while using this member benefit. My colleague used the outdoor pool and I utilized various cardio and resistance pin machines. If possible, I always finish my work out with basketball and I was impressed with the court here. I love the curtain. Facility is clean Staff is very friendly and attentive to members. In particular, I had a great interaction with Abayomi who assisted me with making a donation to their Annual Campaign. Go Team!

I took swim lessons here and I’m so glad I did! The teachers were patient, knowledgeable and friendly. The cost was really affordable too.

This is my go to gym in Tampa. The staff is friendly, especially Cira, who always greets me with a smile every morning whether it be 5:30am or 6am. Enjoy working out at this location. I can’t wait for the new building.

The Central City Y is absolutely the best. It is family friendly and the staff has answer my questions. As a sliver sneaker member I inquired about having extras classes on Thursday and now I am able to attend classes Everyday. The staff is open to suggestions which makes it feels like family working together.

I went in to sign up my son for summer camp. The two ladies (one seemed to be in charge, the other one in training) that assisted me were wonderful! Very knowledgeable and informative. Super helpful and nice. If everyone that works there have the same attitude and tone that these ladies had with me, I'm positive I will not have a thing to worry while my son is at camp.

Great place to workout, I love the Y. It’s not too busy so you are able to get thru your workout well without having to wait much for equipment to become available. They also have plenty of options for working out, as well as a variety of workout classes. I feel very comfortable coming here as a woman - I do not get anyone bothering or harassing me which is sometimes expected at gyms.

Awesome customer service from staff (available to answer questions), convenient location, great array of equipment, guided exercise classes, racketball court (yes) and love that Olympic swimming pool.

The staff love their job and do anything to help you! I enrolled my child into summer camp and swimming lessons! Ebone' went out of her way to assist me. Im thankful this is my neighborhood YMCA. It is a clean and well taken care of facility.

I’ve only utilized the wellness center so far ; the energy seemed okay. They have plenty workout equipment, and the place appeared well-maintained, but, like previously stated, I’ve only visited once for exercising. I’ll leave a more detailed review in a couple weeks. I’m giving the facility 5 stars based off impression. On another note, staff was friendly and seemed personable, making guests feel welcomed.

This is honestly my favorite location other than the spurlino family YMCA in Riverview. The gym is fully equipped! The pool is always clean, staff is VERY pleasant and always helpful. The daycare staff in stay& play are excellent. 5 stars

The staff at that place is great and facilities are clean. Its not in the best area and most mornings it can trickle into the gym. Waiting on a machine that someone is sleeping on isn't the best either.....but besides that come on down

Well,I gave it a one star,cause I couldn't give it anything else.i was thinking about joining YMCA,but when I went on their website and saw that it cost less for a younger person to than I to join,I think it is discrimination against the older generation. When I called and spoke to the representative, asked her how come it cost less for a younger person to there,versus an older person, she said well I don't know, thats how our pricing is.Looks discrimination to me.

Bob Gilbertson YMCA has been great. The staff is always helpful and I love the facilities there. Keep up the good work!

The central city ymca is so family friendly. The people who go there are so nice and down to earth. Great gym and great classes. Rickie, sally, and Fred are so of the best instructors!!

My son has had the best time so far at the Bob Gilbertson Summer camp. The staff has been excellent! They are organized, kind, knowledgeable and to quote my son, "even make standing in line fun!" This has been a great experience so far!

Went to bodypump class last nite and I did not see where the class was canceled. Ebone came to check and seen people in there, so instead of us not having a class Ebone and Aba (which is a awesome instructor) made sure we all left with one of the best workout anybody could ask for. Thank You too so much, Just one of the reasons I love this place.

Very suspicious and skeptical, a little bias at times. However I feel this is due to Environmental common exposure to negative perception and misguided energy. However Due to consistency in I usage ,I believe genuine welcoming an acceptance has been accessed and somewhat embraced by the stranger. So we're not there yet, baby steps)! IN GOD WE TRUST.

I am extremely disappointed with the associate Elizabeth who was very rude and did not allow me to bring a guest I have been to plenty different locations and this location decided to create their own rules . As a loyal member I’m just extremely saddened by the lack of consideration for its members. This was one of the reasons I left YMCA 2 years ago and now I was reminded again. I will be emailing the VP about this issue.

Recently joined the Y on a family plan. My wife and I recently became foster parents and Joshua from the Y from the front desk did a GREAT job giving us a tour of the facility, answering our questions and providing us an overview of the programs. We look forward to seeing him again!

Playing basketball is always fun I do enjoy the guys who come from all walks of life. I love pool as well, but I feel the friendliness was lacking do to my status. The staff or female personnel are a bit presumptuous. However overall the Y has been wonderful. Very delighted to be a member.

Great gym with all the equipment you need. No crowds and no waits most of the time. Cira is a ray of sunshine that brightens the mood in any room, she is wonderful, along with the rest of the kind staff!!

Been a member for a couple of years and visit this location daily. Great staff and classes. Cira is always the best motivation first thing in the morning.
