The service was great and the bread was delicious. However they seriously need to work on the quality of the food. The chicken parm was over coated in what seem like bread and the pasta was dry. My boyfriend got the shrimp scampi and I seriously recommend that you don’t. It was a bowl of watered down sauce and shrimp that wasn’t seasoned. Unfortunately I won’t be back.

The food was good. The service was good. This place needs some serious upkeep. The air vents were loaded with dust. The floor was covered in food, footprints, dirt. The bathroom was dark and dingy and dirty and accommodates only one person. The parking lot should have been paved 10 years ago. The sign needs to be replaced or cleaned and updated. I got the chicken parm. It was slightly pricy. The breading was undercooked. It wasn't as crispy as it should have been. The Caesar salad dressing didn't taste like Caesar at all. Fries were crispy, but heavily under-seasoned. The bread was very good.

All servers and staff are mask less, went to sit at a table that was set up but has crumbs and food all over it. Other than that, food and service were great! Cesar salad dressing is amazing, what's in that stuff?! The main dish and side portions are nice sized. Wife and I took half of it home! We'll be back but mask up your staff! edit: a word

Went here with some friends and famkly while on vacation. The staff are incredibly friendly and courteous. The food took a bit but the waiter kept us appraised. The food came out and were in very generous proportions. Everything was well cooked and tasted delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any in the area looking for excellent Italian food in a homey atmosphere.

This place is a "hole in a wall" with unbelievable food! Our friends went there multiple times and finally decided to take us which was awesome. The seafood pasta was creamy and so full of flavor. We are going back to try the eggplant Parm

This place is a hidden gem. It looks very small on the outside but it’s huge inside! First time here and the food was PERFECT. Like everything was cooked great just how we asked and it tasted amazing! Everything tasted fresh and really well made. THE BREAD at the beginning is out of this world, baked to perfection. Big portions for the food, even the sides! Fairly priced, which is great for Italian food. Great service, everyone is friendly and attentive. We got a bit of everything to try the entrees and they were ALL amazing. We got the Mama Mary’s meatloaf with garlic mashed potatoes,Cesar salad, grilled chicken salad, fried ravioli bites,chicken/steak fettuccine, pizza and spaghetti!! Best italian restaurant in Tampa!!

My husband and I were searching for an Italian restaurant for an hour and came across Gino’s location. After being seated and our drinks were brought out we were advised by the waitress that they don’t have straws. During the Covid-19 pandemic this already made our visit weary. Then came out our bread which was served in an oil bath. We ordered half a meat lovers pizza and were presented with a pizza that had no Cornicione(the crust at the end of the pizza). It was honestly a whole cheese mess. Unfortunately the pasta dishes also had no flavor. The only good thing that tasted good was the lemonade. Overall not a great experience and will not be returning.

Food & Service was really good. Wednesdays they have good beer specials. They didn't have straws but that was the only bad part. The calamari & lasagna was amazing. I prefer the soup over the salad any day. Beer was ice cold & the bread was really tasty.

Been here before for some dinner and great Chicken Parm and today I tried them for lunch. I got the Meatball Sub and my buddy got the Burger. Wow. Buddy loved his burger and the sub was huge. Come get some great Italian and burgers at Ginos.

Get the Italian wedding 🍲 soup. The fried calamari is great & I had the seafood fra'diavlo. Their house bread is more addictive than the biscuits at Red Lobster & taste 100x better. The waitresses that I've dealt with have the best attitudes & are super sweet, so tip them well. I've never had the pizza, but I bet it's good because their marinara sauce is great. So go there and treat yourself to a nice meal or bring the family & splurge on a good time with food & drinks. Great place. I'm a native of Long Island New York & this place can hang with the flavors & ambiance.

Wow a hidden gem. The food was fantastic. Very generous with the glasses of wine. The tomato sauce and meatballs so far are the best we've had here in Tampa. Reminds me a lot of little Italy in New York City. Salute'

I order Shrimp scampi and they didn't put any butter in the shrimp scampi. And way to much lemon juice. I sent it back and all they did was put butter in it. The table order 4 different beers and the girl came back and said they was out. We have been going to this for years. And the A/C was broken. This Used to be my wife and I is favorite place. Something is not right here. Sorry but sometime you have to let people know It's going down hill.

The best neighborhood Italian restaurant! Their bread is amazing, their salad is so fresh, even their house wine is great, good body and taste. Customer service never let me down, the quality of the food and even better the amount for the price is definitely a good deal for the customers. Casual, formal will depend how you feel like that day, and Michael, best hands ever. We are definitely coming back. Sergio and Indy.

Loren our waitress was the absolute best. We weren't ready for the humongous portions so we will get the appetizers to go. We had calamari and briscutto. Then came the Rigatoni with mushrooms and sausage and pan seared salmon. We weren't ready LOL! I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!

This quaint little Italian place is amazing! Traveling through and so disappointed we couldn't take our leftovers! (And you will have leftovers! The portions are hefty!) Great service with a smile and authentic Italian fare. This would be my Italian go-to place if I lived in Tampa!

The prices are fair for the quantity and the bar is a welcoming place to sit. Anytime we venture from our usual favorites though, say to try one of the specials, we usually wish we hadn't. Case in point, the mussels, which we thought were overcooked and the red sauce was basically chunky marinara. Maybe if it came with a side of pasta it would have made more sense...

I'm honestly baffled by what to say here I tried this place 3 years ago and had it saved in my restaurant list since I like it but tonight was a completely different story. Called and made a pick up call when I arrived I was charged way more than their online prices said okay maybe they changed them, arrived home to my biggest surprise: caprese is basically a couple of tomatoe slices badly cut and awfully presented with a couple of leafs on it Cesar salad sauce was mainly a mixture of oil and something green nothing close to ceaser sauce. Absolutely disappointed, something change at this place and to the worst for sure. Thanks!

Cute and cozy place with good prices. It all looked amazing but my capellini was disappointing. 😕. I wasn’t a fan of their meat sauce as it was actually just marinara sauce… didn’t care for the sweet tomato 🍅 taste…was looking for rich, savory, meaty sauce, but was told by our waitress that the meat sauce was the same sauce as the marinara with some meat added, which isn’t how it is supposed to be in my opinion. Also capellini noodles were swimming in way too much sauce, and the noodles were very soft, not al dente, which was more disappointing. One positive, the portions were very generous, so there are leftovers. 😀 Salad dressing was boring and sparse too. An Italian restaurant needs a good house creamy Italian dressing in my humble opinion.

We hadn't been here in 5 years The food was delicious & we enjoyed everything. I really came for the Italian salad, which is AMAZING!!! (Not to be confused with their House Salad which they sometimes call it Italian salad) it's not on their regular menu. It's off of their CATERING MENU (on website) But you can request , usually they'll make it for you. It is worth every bite!

This place was lovely. A relaxed atmosphere where the service staff is so friendly and the food is stellar. Yesterday was my first time eating there and I'll be back. My only small thing is that they don't have staws, no big deal, but if you're like me and you have partial facial paralysis, be sure to bring yourself one. 🥰 I had Alfredo and the sauce was AMAZING.

First of, our server was Jennifer. She was awesome! My wife and I went on a Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. Jennifer made our day special. The food was fantastic! The best eggplant parmesan I've ever had. My wife had spaghetti with meatballs. She loved it. The star of the show was the bananas foster. It was delicious. We'll definitely be back. Our prayers go out to Jennifer, who is leaving to take care of her ill Mom.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the waitress was really nice and the portions were large. The parmigiana was excellent, and the chicken was cooked superbly. Would definitely return.

Been eating here since 1982 - Great food but also used to have a mature (as in no teenage silliness) crowd and soft acoustic music on weekends. Since I was never a hard drinker their wine selection was perfect for me. I spent many a weekend night sipping on wine there and enjoying the crowd and music. I haven't been there in a while but if they held on to anything from the past this is one of the best night spots in Tampa IMO, especially for dates. I never once saw a fight or any thug stuff here. Prices also were very reasonable. If you go for the food which was great American Italian I would suggest a lunch, when they are not busy dealing with the weekend crowd. They used to have an interesting gimmick on their menu - An advertised 100 types of burgers and the ones I tried were delicious. But they dropped that some years ago. I have not been there recently and just thought of them. I now want to go and see what its like now.

Best Italian in Tampa, HANDS DOWN! Don't let the outside scare you, this is one of Tampa's hidden gems. Literally the best italian restaurant when it comes to food in all of Tampa. Everything from the salad, to the actual pasta and the prices are even better than the high end chains like Olive Garden (With higher quality food) I personally recommend you visit the bar section over the restaurant section, its less cramped and a lot more relaxing. Each dinner comes with a soup or salad but I recommend either the ceasar salad or the house salad. Also that garlic bread is to kill for! The portions are large so you will be taking some home most likely, for a college student this is perfect because for the price of one meal you can eat twice! Highly recommend (but avoid the bathroom, seriously guys please remodel the bathrooms)

Very nice and cozy. We didn't have to wait for a table but it was only 2 of us. It was busy, lots of big groups. I will assume that because of how busy they were, the service suffered a little bit but I know they tried. The food was good. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and mushrooms. The sauce was fresh and the food was tasty. You do get bread, a soup or salad with your meal. The bread was delicious for sure. The portions are extremely generous and the prices are fair.

My husband and I were looking for a hidden gem on our vacation to Tampa. We stopped here based on a local’s suggestion. We were NOT disappointed! Emily was our server and she was so friendly and sweet, as well as very knowledgeable about the food selection. The portion sizes were large, the bread and caesar salads was amazing, and the food was all ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Definitely visit this place if you’re looking for great food and great service, without a tourist feel.

Ginos is a Tampa staple. The food is excellent every time! The chicken sorrentino is unmatched in flavor and portion! The bananas foster over cheesecake keeps me coming back. The restaurant parking is tricky when they are busy but it is well worth the trip. I have never had a bad experience here and if you leave hungry it's your own fault. The servers are very nice. The restaurant can get super cold so bring a sweater!

The food was okay, I had the Chicken Marsala, hence the 4 stars but Candice was AMAZING. She was attentive, kind and knowledgeable. She definitely made my visit enjoyable, I will definitely return.

It was just about perfect. Great wine selection. Delicious appetizers. Garlic bread was delicious. The food was delicious and priced reasonably. I also loved that they had a bar where you could order food or sit at a table and eat. Great find.

Meatball sub looks beautiful but it’s messy. The bread had a delicious garlic butter taste and was so soft to eat. Should be a little toasted as the sandwich is heavy and I have to eat it was a fork. The meatballs were moist and had flavor. The sauce was lackluster and poured on heavy. Overall it good and excited to try another menu item shortly

I ordered simple spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. I was served a large plate of angel hair pasta (I wanted spaghetti) completely slathered in jarred sauce and two average size dense dry meatballs! I couldn’t eat it. My husband ordered the shrimp scampi and couldn’t even identify the watery sauce with absolutely no taste and color off-putting… the few shrimp were completely blonde, no color or flavor! He could not eat his either!!!! Horrible meal!!!! So horrible, we will never be back!!!!!!!!! Will make sure our friends don’t either.

If you get a chance to go to Tampa, FL. Please check out Gino's restaurant. The food was delicious and I love Olive Garden, but Gino's beat them hands down. They give you 2 large soft garlic bread with butter and start you off my salad or the soup of the day. They have coke products, I asks the waitress for Sprite and she gave me a tall glass for 2. Try the Sampler #2, it comes with lasagna, chicken Parmigiana and shrimp linguini, the spaghetti and meatballs. Their grill shrimp salad was so good. Great atmosphere, friendly people. I will definitely come back here again and again.
