Superb Spanish restaurant at E gates in Tampa airport. Food is exceptional and service impeccable. Mahi-Mahi was perfectly prepared and delicious. Plantains were also wonderful. This is one of the best Spanish restaurants you'll find anywhere, and about the best airport food you'll ever have. Note that even if you're not leaving from the E gates, you can get a Shuttle Pass from the information counter.

Nice atmosphere and theme (Columbia/South american food) are a nice change for airport food. Good beer selection on tap and they have empanadas, black bean soup, and Cuban sandwiches. They were out of the black bean cakes and queso which was disappointing. Otherwise pretty darn good.

OMG, best meal on my trip to Florida was at the airport leaving! Had the Criollo and if they have bread pudding I must have. Deelish. Better than any food in Cuba (not hard).

Its an airport dining concession, and it is a good example of that. When I ate there in August 2023, service was good without being pushy. Food was good, and I had the Cuban sandwich. Sandwich was really good, but the fries could have been done better. They were a bit soggy and not crisp. Next time, I will sub/get their salad instead. I saw it on other's tables, and it was stellar looking. If I had more time, I might have requested a remake, but it was a timing thing on my flight time. Dessert flan was super tasty, and definitely house-made! It was, for me, one of the better flans I've had in a long time. I would definitely eat here on future trips through Tampa Airport.

The service and atmosphere were amazing. They served a baguette with butter, which was really tasty. The food wasn't that good overall, but for airport food, it was good enough.

Wow, was this place expensive! I know airport reataraunts and bars are notorious for their high prices, but I felt this place took it to another level. We had 4 drinks (2 basic and 2 mojitos) and an order of the empanada appetizer, and it was over $80. There were not many other bar options in this area of the airport, so it was pretty packed. 6/23 always stop in when I'm delayed for the empanada and tried the sangria (twice). Everything was fantastic. The place was packed as it always, but I was able to grab a seat at the bar. The majority of the service staff are attentive and polite.

Columbia Cafe is a nice place to relax and eat before a flight. Mandy was an awesome server. The Cuban was huge, authentic, and delicious. The chicken and rice was subpar and not much of a portion. Overall, I’d still recommend it.

A short wait but the service was quick and good. Food came out quick and tasted very good. I took my time but I could have gotten in and out within 40 minutes which includes the wait time.

Best place to stop for breakfast before flying out of Tampa! The Malaguena is my favorite, and their Cafe con Leche is superb 👌 😋

Have you been to the Columbia? Yes... Do you love the Columbia? Yes.... Now you can love the Columbia at the airport! Sincerely enjoyed our breakfast today and our server was fantastic!

I’ve eaten at several locations for the Columbia and it never disappoints. This cafe version at TPA is the same and I’ve eaten here multiple times. The price for the amount of food you get is second to none at airports! Also, service is friendly (thank you Kristina) and that is not usually the case at airport restaurants. My go to is the Roast Pork Sandwich, great Mojo flavor.

Surprisingly nice and healthy food for an airport lay-over. Been a few times and always have the same swift and jovial bartender whose name I don't recall.

Their famous salad is phenomenal and the Cuban to top it off. It’s in an open air airport…so in spite of that, the atmosphere is not bad…but not great either. But when you’re in an airport, what is. Next time in the airport or Tampa in general…gonna go again. It’s more than worth it.

The Grab and Fly was easy to use and was fairly quick for how busy the airport was. Best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had. Small fry is defiantly not a small but a tray of fries and were hot and salted to perfection.

I was so happy to see that this restaurant is now in the Tampa airport. I’ve frequented the original in Sarasota for over a decade and was so surprised to see it here. The food and service was amazing! I had an incredible bartender that was super funny and nice! I highly reigning here!

Visited this past weekend while waiting for a flight. Service was somewhat slow, but the bigger issue is they overcharged my credit card significantly. Once I saw that in my transaction history, I tried reaching out several times but their phone always goes to voicemail and it appears they don't ever check or respond to it. I wanted to give them the opportunity to fix it before disputing with the bank. Keep your receipts and double-check your statements! It appears that their servers like to give themselves larger tips than they deserve.

This “queso fundido” is disgraceful. The little amount of cheese is almost a liquid and it’s almost entirely some sort of tomato soup. A far cry from queso fundido. And of course the price is absurd (it would be one thing if they actually served the dish and not whatever this is).

We've eaten at and enjoyed Columbia in Sarasota, so we were very anxious to try this airport location. The food did not disappoint. Their 1905 salad is something special. They don't do it table-side like other locations, but that's not surprising given a busy airport location. The taste is everything I remembered and the portion size is huge. My wife had the shrimp and crab dip, and loved it. The only rub here is that service is lackluster. Our server had to be reminded to bring bread and a few other things we requested. And, quite honestly, she just wasn't very pleasant. But that certainly didn't ruin an otherwise great meal.

Nice atmosphere and the waitress are very friend. The food was nice and drinks were good. The only issue was I saw a few waitresses touching a guest pet and grab things like napkins and drinks to serve to other guest without washing their hands. I love pets but I just wish the servers would consider the resistance of touch people's pet and not washing their hands.

For an airport restaurant this place is fantastic. Sit, have a drink and enjoy some excellent Cuban food. We are super lucky to have this at our airport.

Complete failure from staff, cleanliness, food and management. I saw more staff standing around in groups not working than serving customers. I waited way to long after being sat for the server to address us. The order tickets backed up so bad for the cook they were still attached to the printer and going all the way to the floor. An employee pulled the tickets off the printer and threw them away. Then an employee realized those tickets needed to be cooked and took them out of the trash and put them on the counter where food is prepared. My sandwich sat on the plate ready to be served for 10-15 minutes before it was served to me. Management walked around looking at things with no delegation. Deer in headlights look at times. $73 for two alcoholic drinks and two Cuban sandwiches. Eat here at own risk.

A rare spot at the airport that is tranquil and well worth stopping before your flight. This restaurant stands up to all the other locations as far as food quality goes, which is not typical at airports. They have a well-rounded menu and anyone who knows, knows about their bread. My Spanish rice with chicken was flavorful and tender. If you're flying Delta out of Tampa international airport, this is a spot to stop. Have a cold drink or two and a good meal.

My wife and I stopped in here for a drink while waiting for our flight. While the prices are high, I don't think they are any more so than every other airport bar. They all know they have a captive audience. The bartenders were super friendly and enjoyable to chat with as we sipped our drinks. The decor and great background music created a very relaxing ambience.

Great way to start the day. Enjoyed a quick breakfast at the Columbia TPA this morning in route to ATL. Had the most pleasant waitress, Jessica. It’s amazing the impact a smile and friendly service can have on your day.

Lovely Cuban restaurant at Tampa Airport. We liked their Ropa Vieja, Cuban Sandwich and Ybor chicken & rice. Sweet plantains were surprisingly yummy. It is as good as an airport restaurant can be, maybe slightly better but don’t get your expectations super high.

No one wants to take a 6am flight but finding a good restaurant with a simple selection and amazing food makes the whole travel experience brighter, and Columbia Cafe did just that. Their 4am open was welcoming to us after going thru Terminal E security, and our waitress Evelyn was prompt and polite. The food was a perfect temperature and full of flavor, and their house spicy picante was outstanding. Despite the dozens of times traveling thru TPA and this being our first stop, it certainly won't be the last!

Ate breakfast here while waiting for our flight. They did a nice job of making it have that Columbia atmosphere, considering it’s located in an airport terminal. I took off one star for two reasons: First, when we were seated no one told us that a server does not take the order and instead you scan a code on the table to order through an app. The code was covered by our placemat so we didn’t see it, and we had waited about 15 minutes before someone finally came over to tell us. Secondly, the chorizo we had was very greasy. Overall, still a good experience but could have been better. Our server was super friendly. They also have a separate stand for to-go items like sandwiches and even a small selection of gifts like their Columbia ceramics.

Compliments to the staff and management for the quality of the restaurant and the fantastic menu. The atmosphere, the cleanliness and overall experience made our time in the airport part of the enjoyment of the vacation itself. In particular we would like to recognize our server Julia. Her over-whelming smile and friendliness made us feel like we were special guests at her family table. Her suggestions and tips regarding our menu choices and accompanying drinks and desert left us very well satisfied. We will definitely remember our experience as part of our relaxing vacation in the Tampa area.
