I have to say this location is beautiful. Beds were comfy, check in was a breeze. Very friendly staff and the front desk agents were always very professional and well kept. A couple of points - housekeeping we were very unimpressed with!!! We asked to have our room made up for us each day - we were there 5 nights. We received this service only once during the entire stay. Even after asking them daily. At a $296 rate the Saturday night we shouldnt even have to ask!! This really did make the stay a little less enjoyable. Lounge had excellent food. Service was decent considering they were very busy. But regardless of how much they were running the wait staff stayed attentive and apologetic. I would recommend this location!!! Just keep in mind, top dollar stays should at least come with fresh towels and a fresh made bed each day!!!

Great location with wonderful views of Tampa Bay. Pretty new building, up-to-date rooms with showers instead of tubs (which I prefer). The bar staff are very friendly and efficient. I had two meals there. The lunch at the bar was very tasty (I had a steak salad). They charge $25/night resort fee! I don't count this hotel as a resort! To soften the blow, they gave me two breakfast vouchers, but after I had my first breakfast, I skipped the next morning and went to Starbucks next door! Their breakfast buffet is as basic as they come and not worth anywhere near $25!

Stayed at the Westin Tampa Waterside on a business trip. The rooms were decent, yet the attitude(s) of the staff could definitely be improved. I was truly shocked at how poorly and unprofessional Jordan, at the front desk, treats his guests when I had gone down to the lobby to ask about a malfunction within my room. His superficial smile and belittling attitude alone is reasonable cause to look elsewhere when staying in Tampa in the future. I did not fly 16 hours to be greeted by such an awful personality. Beyond that, when discussing his behavior with his manager two days later before checkout, Jordan had openly lied to try and paint the customers into the problem, instead of assuming responsibility for his unprofessional and blatantly disturbing attitude. It is truly sickening to say at the least. The manager (I cannot remember his name) claims that they take your concerns seriously, yet they certainly do not. Instead they will continue to fabricate instances with no proof, in order to cover up each other's ugly behaviors. Do not waste your money at the Westin Tampa Waterside.

Fantastic location, great views of the water, rooms very nice, shower was great, beds very comfortable. Only major complaint was the service was either fantastic or terrible. Bell desk was great, front desk was either great or I was ignored, morning restaurant staff you'd think never waited a table before in their life. Bartenders were either amazing or just downright surly. I'd like to point out bartender Winnie (I think her name was) as just being fantastic (I think she was newer), and I believe it was Brian (who may have been a manager, too) that was at the bar, he was really great as well. Also, the gentleman working the front desk when I checked in the evening of 4/10/22 was probably the best front desk check in I ever had.

My stay started with an incredible greeting from the front desk staff recognizing our status. My room was clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable, loved the view. Ate dinner at the Blue Harbour and the waterside salad was incredible. The valet staff was very friendly and efficient. Overall, an incredible stay. The only negative thing I could possibly say is the Westin corporate staff that was visiting there should be more considerate of guests.

What a horrible stay - wish we had chosen a different hotel for our weekend. First we endured a ridiculously long wait to check-in because there was only one person at the front desk on a SATURDAY AFTERNOON. Then we get a suite that doesn't have a working bathtub (water wouldn't drain), no body wash, no bathrobes in the room, and a defective television. Someone came up to "fix" the tub but it still wouldn't drain in the morning, and when we called down again the front desk tells us they're aware the tub isn't working and it needs a bigger fix. So they waited to tell us/fix the problem until WE called down to call about it. We are finally switched to another room, but it, too, doesn't have body wash or bathrobes, and now the AC barely works and there is a defective smoke detector that flashes bright green throughout the night. When we call the front desk at 2:30am to let them about the smoke detector and how it's now woken up our 2 year old, instead of offering to fix it or another more feasible solution, we are offered a room change - at 2:30AM with a toddler. Ridiculous! The next morning, we stood around for at least 15 minutes before a valet attendant even acknowledged us to ask if we were waiting for our car even though we stood right in front of several guys just standing around chatting with each other. It was only when my husband pulled out his wallet that someone looked our way and offered to assist. We were offered $50 off our room stay and complimentary parking for our troubles, but i just received my credit card statement and the parking was charged. HORRIBLE experience and with so many other hotels to choose from in the area, Westin Waterside is the last place anyone should book.

The front desk representatives may treat you in any way they please, with any attitude, and make threats if they don’t like your responsive distaste. They claim that there is no audio on their video recording, and as such, in my experience, will justify withholding refunds on the basis of story-telling from their staff. I am referring to Jordan specifically. He is condescending, rolls his eyes, and gives every indication that he does not want to be approached during his night shift. Again, the cameras apparently don't catch audio, and presumably are not angled toward his face, so only a response of disgust on your end will be detected. If you want to be humiliated to a point where you feel the hotel is being unduly enriched and leave, to then file your complaint and NOT have any sympathy whatsoever, you should stay here. Anybody seeking to be welcomed into a masquerade that, when you are at your most comfortable and hopeful, the masks come down to reveal some sinister characters, this is the hotel for you.

Everything people are saying is 100% true. The hotel is in a great location BUT is not being taken care of. the staff doesn't care anymore that seems like a top-down issue. The rooms are not good, dirty dirty dirty!. We ask for the sheets to be changed left came back later and all the new sheets were lying on top of the bed for us to change them. Wow, just wow is all I can say and it goes on and on from there. The bugs living in our bathroom were very friendly and would come out and say hi every morning. On a good note, Valentino is an awesome bartender 😎 very Happy so far George at the front desk is awesome also

George (the manager) and Jordan (at the front desk) are amongst the worst employees in the hotel industry I have ever come across, and I have been in the industry for 26 years. They are rude and will put their own interests before others. It began with Jordans, nasty, belittling attitude out of the blue, and based on preconceived notions for people who enjoy drinking coupled with George doing little to nothing about his employees behavior, but instead of "protecting his interests" and remaining biased. It would be understandable if hotel guests were giving Jordan a difficult time, or drunk and unruly, but this was not the case. He simply stated he did not want to work the night shift and passively aggressively expressed his pent up anger on unsuspecting hotel guests coming in from a late night... Truly unprofessional and a horrible attitude for guest to have to endure when spending money and time they will not have returned. It is a shame, because the hotel has a lot of potential and would benefit from making their guests feel comfortable as Barbara (the other manager) and Patrick (the bartender) would try to do. Although my friends and myself have stayed at this hotel over seven different occasions, we will stay no more. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that appreciate business and a great time. The Westin Waterside because of the atrocious behavior of George and Jordan is no longer going to be on the list of recommended places to stay in Downtown Tampa being that I am a booking agent by trade. What a pity.

The view is very nice, however the hotel needs updating, the front desk staff was not friendly, the fitness center has no way to wipe down the equipment or sanitize your hands, which means it’s a cesspool of germs and sweat. The only highlight was the valet, who were efficient and polite. Otherwise, if you are looking for a clean, friendly hotel, go somewhere else.

Reserved a "bay view room" and was given a streetside off bay view room. I am a Bonvoy member and was told by the front desk when I wanted my membership added that "you get nothing from us here because you reserved thru a third party". Not what I get from other hotels. I stayed 3 days and had to call and request daily room service to which I was given an attitude also by the front desk. Housekeeping did a great job. Front desk placed a noisy family of 5 in the adjoining room next to me and I had to complain. The hotel was pretty much empty the first night. Why would the front desk do that? "Customer Service" was lacking enough to drop from a 5 to a 3.

I stayed here for two nights. Last week. The bed is comfortable and the pillows are soft. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. However the rooms itself the ac doesn’t work well at. The temperature was at 60 degrees and the room felt like it was 80 in it. We switched to another room and the ac still didn’t work well. However the biggest problem I had was the valet. There was this one guy at valet and he was rude and racists. My bro was staying with me and we were alternating driving the car. One morning my bro who is black came back early in the morning and the valet said why are you driving this car you black guy. You shouldn't be driving it get out. My friend gave the last name on the reservation and it didn’t changed anything. I don't like how that guy talked or acted towards my friend. However the manager Babara was very accommodating and she comp the parking for both nights. I will not be coming back to this hotel again.

The hotel presents itself well, however my experience was not extraordinary. The hotel room door would not shut properly, there was water on the floor in the hallway, the pool was not up and running (however they did allow us to use the pool at neighboring properties however was not ideal. On the last day pool did open and it was nice) the chairs and pool seating actually had a good modern vibe to it. Other than location the hotel was average. I put 4 stars as the valet attendants were very exceptional. They made me feel welcome. The hotel front desk was so far removed from the path of guests to their hotel room that the only greetings we received were from The valet. There was the same housekeeping issues I saw repeatedly like the poor quality of elevator cleanliness, multiple days in a row was the same faux fur feather on the floor. Housekeeping needs to certainly check all areas.

We stayed here for our wedding weekend and used the Westin for our room block for our downtown wedding. The Bay Suite has absolutely stunning and panoramic views of downtown Tamp and the harbor. Shelly from events was one of the easiest people to work with throughout wedding planning process. I can't wait to stay here again.

This hotel is not worth even half of what we paid for one night there, and we seriously considered just going home after we attended a concert this weekend, but the weather forced us to stay. First, the elevators. I seriously regretted requesting a higher floor that I probably paid extra for. Every single time, starting immediately after checking in we waited between five to ten minutes for the elevators, along with a large crowd of others waiting as well. Once you finally are able to get into one, you have to swipe your key to put in your floor number. But that cancels itself out when the door closes, so you have to do it again, possibly a few times. Then it will stop at every single floor, whether there are people waiting to get on or not. Slowly you go up, picking up people either going up or down, not caring because they have been waiting so long they just want to get on, until you are packed in like sardines. It could take 10 to 15 minutes just to get to your room every single time in an extremely uncomfortably crowded elevator. I love dogs, but anyone who is afraid of dogs be warned, there are dogs in the elevators too. Finding something quick to eat at the hotel is not going to happen either, the hotel "restaurant", the Blue Harbor Eatery, is just some tables and a few booths at the lobby bar. There is a menu posted, but no hostess and we seated ourselves but no one came to take an order as it seems like there was only a bartender and the bar itself was full. So, we will just grab something at the Marketplace. The Marketplace is actually just a small pantry next to the front desk with chips and drinks. Don't expect much! The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, one even came to the elevators after a large crowd had gathered waiting, and efficiently dealt with a guest who had maybe had a few too many drinks in a very polite manor. The valet was great as well, very quick and efficient. Was the bed comfortable? Yes I would not stay here again, this is the worst Marriott property I have ever stayed at.

Stayed at The Westin Tampa Waterside for a wedding. First impressions were good. Unfortunately the pool was not opened due to construction for the first two days of our stay which was a bummer, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. As all Westins, the lobby smelled delightful. The house keeping department could have used some better help. There was a used coffee cup in our room for the entire stay that did not get cleaned up and some of the common tables needed to be cleaned up. Valet service was spectacular. Dan and his crew were fabulous to deal with and very helpful! Hotel was sort of confusing to navigate and the pool was situated in a horrible spot.

This place is not a 4 star hotel. I love Westin hotels and have always enjoy my stays. The check in was great and have no issues with staff. The room however for a standard king was outdated and felt cheap for the 300 a night I am paying. Definitely not up to Westin standard of hotels I’ve been to elsewhere. Again, Staff has been great so far no complaints there, the hotel is is just not worth the price. Spend an extra 100 a night and get a nicer place downtown.

Recently stayed 4 nights at the Westin Waterside for my son's wedding. Was automatically upgraded upon arrival. Spacious room, comfortable beds, and all the amenities you need. Great group rate for the wedding. What a spectacular view of the Christmas boat parade right outside our window. The valet service team was professional, friendly, and very patient with my many demands, thank you. We will be back!

"Upgraded room" was nothing more than a view of the harbor. No microwave and a very small fridge that barely kept anything cold. Window didnt open even though it was supposed to open a few inches. Very outdated rooms with worn carpeting, rust stains running down the bathroom wall and holes in the tile grout..The pamphlet says Westin helps you stay nourished but there is minimal food, only sandwiches at the bar. No real dinner food. No room service at all despite being advertised. Two restaurants next door packed and not really available unless you are ok with an hour and a half wait, even at 500pm. Management was uninterested in facilitating dining in any way. Convenient location on waterfront for walking around but I would never stay here again. Try the Marriott nearby for better rooms, some with balconies and way better food with room service, (stayed there last time). Westin used to have a good name which came with expectations. This one was no better than a Motel 6. Should be one star but the extra star is for location.

Where do I begin? I would not recommend this hotel to anyone that isn’t there to party. The first day we arrived we noticed we couldn’t get into our room due to the door sticking. After the fifth or sixth attempt we were able to get in, but still let maintenance know to no avail. That night we were kept up half the night with what sounded like a 300 Pomeranian barking (not necessarily the hotel’s fault). Our refrigerator didn’t work, so engineering came to replace it, and sloshed the dirty water from the unit onto our open suitcase. Engineering was called again by housekeeping on the third day of our stay as they watched me try no fewer than ten times to get into our door. Engineering my came and looked at it with no solution for the remainder of our stay. This prevented housekeeping from accessing our room for service as well. A large organization arrived on our second to last day, and the hotel allowed them to run the show. Loud music, yelling through the halls in the middle of the night, and making constant noise in the lobby with open bottles of liquor and beers at 4 am. Our last night was a Friday, and the party yachts outside played excessively loud music all night as well. When checking out the front desk clerk mocked a guest (on the sixth floor) who called again to complain about the noise in the lobby. It was 4 am! The hotel was well staffed, but didn’t seem to want to ensure anyone else had a nice stay. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless you are part of the party crowd. Families beware.

Their hotel staff are frauds! I left a $200 speaker in the room on accident. I know exactly where it was and someone took it from their staff and said they couldn't find it. This is pathetic and they will do nothing about it. No way you don't see this big speaker sitting in the room. For the money I paid this was not worth my time and now they are OK with their coaching crew stealing items. I stay at Marriott because I thought I was safe going forward I will breve stay here again. Please be aware of this hotel and don't leave items.

Decent stay overall. Rooms were tidy enough, hotel is in a nice area and the exercise room is above average. My meeting was in one of the conference rooms, which was well equipped and the lunch they served was tasty. The only problem during the stay was with a door that did not latch properly (room 100X I think). I didn’t notice at first, but the door wouldn’t close/latch without significant pushing and pulling - one of those lift the handle and lean against it situations. I told the front desk immediately as it’s a potential security issue and was told maintenance would correct it right away. It was still messed up when I checked out. My main issue now is with a very unresponsive billing department. I was charged for valet parking at $40 a night, despite not having a vehicle during my short trip. I have left messages with the front desk and the accounting dept voicemail for a week and have not received any follow-ups. I suppose I will keep trying because I need an accurate folio for work reimbursement. Please call me back and fix my bill! Thank you! EDIT: They finally fixed it!

My stay was great!!! I have to acknowledge the housekeeper Betty K., she made sure and ensured that all of my needs were met on time. She extended her courteous gesture and visited every morning and I appreciated it. My checkout experience was also great!!. Stephanie greeted me with a smile and made the checkout process easy. Thank you both for my wonderful time at the Westin.

We actually had maid service every day unlike most hotels that stopped daily service during COVID. Maid service is terrific. They worked hard and did a great job. I’m leaving them a nice tip. Check in/Check out was super easy. Love the White Tea trademark smell. Everything is clean and all staff are very accommodating.

Very nice hotel, location was fantastic. The only thing was the Breakfast. It could've been a little more economical as far as buffet prices go and for what was offered. $25 is a little steep, I surely cannot eat enough to compensate for that price tag when I have had nearly similar buffets at other hotels for a lot less even when money isn't an issue.

Attended a conference here. Rooms were nice (updated but still could tell it was an older hotel) and views were spectacular! The location is really what makes this place great. Walkable to all of downtown, the Convention Center, Water Street, Sparkman Warf, and a grocery store (Publix). The conference amenities were similar to the rooms. Nice and got the job done, but not as updated or fancy as some of the newer hotels down the road, but views and overall experience were great!

This was a great experience. Front desk staff were very kind and accommodating. Parking is valet only. You can walk to pretty much anything in downtown Tampa and the TECO trolley is right there. Starbucks and 2 restaurants attached to the hotel as well as a bar/restaurant within. Views of the bay. The only complaints are that the pillows were terrible. We did need to ask for extra bedding for the pull out couch as well. Other than that it was beautiful and easy.

Very pleased with this hotel's location. Wonderful to wake up each morning overlooking the water and seeing all of the boats pass by. The staff (especially valet) was also very welcoming and attentive. This central location made it easy to find delicious dining options and entertainment, all within walking distance. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and well maintained. Definitely will return!

Dave was excellent. My flight was delayed and I got in at 230 am. He was so polite and checked me in quickly so I could get to my room. He is definitely an asset to the team, and I'm no sure who the Valet gentleman was, but he was also amazing .

On September 21, 2021 we made a reservation for March 5, 2022. We intended on walking to the Eric Church concert that night. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that they were going to have to move us to another hotel 20 minutes away. Even though they comped the room, it was a matter of great inconvenience. I can't rate the rooms since we never saw any.

We were there for our son's wedding and had lots of family with us. All of the staff were amazing! Kim at the front desk went out of her way to make us happy! All of the folks at the front desk were superstars: Kim, George, Ron, and Anastasia! Thank you for an an amazing stay! The beds and bedding were awesome and so comfy! Even our 84 year old mother who never sleeps well, slept like a baby! Wonderful experience!

The location was great. I would not stay here again as the place was a bit messy. The Lounge was understaffed and on Sunday morning after about a 10 minute wait, it was clear we were not likely to get even coffee. Since we had a $40/night resort fee, I am left wondering what was this fee for... The young lady at the front desk was pleasant.

I have to start the review with an amazing 5+ stars for the staff at the “BLUE bar/lounge.. mainly Joe & Justin. Amazing and very attentive. Drinks were amazing and presented with class right down to the black cherry in a Manhattan. Who ever cooked the food… hands down amazing food! Steak on point. Well done! The room was nice and clean with a beautiful view of Tampa Bay. The pool was the reason for the 3 stars. It was horrible and in much need of a renovation. For the size of the pool it was disappointing that there was 5 lounge chairs, 2 tables with extremely small seats … plenty of space but totally lacking places to sit. Needs to be pressure washed and the gardens weeded.

Jordan’s and George’s behavior were so shockingly uncomfortable that I feel for the first time (at any time) I may need to forewarn other travelers. The rooms were dirty and the lobby reeked of weed. Jordan's attitude was abhorrent when checking in late. He seems like the type of person who works late and feels entitled to treating his guests however he wants. Truly gross abuse of a professional role. He also lies through his teeth and tells his staff all kinds of different stories. Went to speak to George about the situation and he did nothing to solve it but instead claimed he needed to protect his employees over his costumers which made little to no sense. There are plenty of people who would love to work in their shoes, appreciate their roles and do a far better job! I am ambassador plus status with Bonvoy and will be bringing this to attention with an ambassador specialist. My business allows me to stay at well over 800 hotels annually give or take. My fiance and I were also eager to pitch the hotel to over 200 guests for our upcoming wedding this January, promoting and staking roughly 8000 dollars toward a wedding stay for our venue guests in Harbour Island. Because of George’s and “Jordan’s” (if that is his real name) stance on being horrific, and disturbingly unprofessional behavior, we will certainly take our business right down the road to their competitors and advise our upcoming guests to avoid the Westin at all costs. Bonvoy or not, do not waste your money at this F grade hotel.

I was just here for my Husband’s and I 1 year wedding anniversary and his birthday. We decided to do a day trip to Tampa to celebrate from Cleveland. We got in early and wanted to see if we could possibly check in early and we were told there were no rooms but we’d get a call if one became available, understandable. No offer to hold our bags or anything… so we walked around for 4-5 hours toting our luggage around. Second issue, we were told we were getting an updated suite and we got a room looking at the parking lot instead. Blood was on our sheets and comforter. I definitely had high hopes for this place and was disappointed. -Robyn Edwards

I was really disappointed with this hotel. We booked a 4 star hotel previously with Hotwire (Grand Hyatt -Tampa) that was absolutely amazing. I thought I would have the same experience at this 4 star hotel. The first thing you should know is that they don’t have a “restaurant” as advertised. It’s basically bar food with few options. Their breakfast buffet looked good, but all the food was cold and my husbands later got sick. They make you valet your car, which cost us $35/day plus tax which brought the total to over $37/day. This adds up really fast when you’re staying for a few days. You have to pay it whether you use your car or it just sits in the garage. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but we didn’t feel it was worth the price.

Rooms are, adequate. Popcorn ceiling, but I can manage. Staff members are hit or miss. The valet and housekeeping staff are super nice and helpful, receptionists not so much. It is however a much better $ to hospitality value than JW Marriott in my opinion. The Westin location is really convenient for all nearby attractions and restaurants.

Two different Marriott Hotels in two different collections and we have an empty bottle at two different cities in different states and clearly the bottle has been empty a while. Ask housekeeping at two different hotels and they tell me someone else replaces them? The bottles were on the housekeeping cart. Then, this Marriott property just like the one at Le Meridian in Charlotte, the iron that looks like this. Also, irons in the 21st century? I am thinking steamers would be cheaper and safer than an irons, ironing board and iron and ironing board rack. Honestly, this review is to bring awareness often people fail to share. We can all do better

This is a great hotel in a great location! We were there for the Ed Sheran concert and wanted to explore the city. We spent 3 nights and I think we did it all! it was easy to get to everything from this hotel. Every single interaction we had with the staff was wonderful! Rooms were nice, clean and we had a great water view. We would absolutely stay here again if we go back to Tampa!

Thoroughly impressed with front desk staff from check in to questions to check out. Great team, very professional and polite!! Beautiful view from the room but was disappointed with the upkeep of the bathroom. The shower rail had a loose ring and the tub looked dirty but upon closer inspect it was wear and tear. The elevator floor was also pretty gross....dirty or stained with what looked like black water marks. Got a little frustrated with valet not answering from room (there is a button on the phone that Says valet) and when I went down to get my car and inquiries he fully acknowledged & said yeah we don't answer room calls. It's the small things that make a hotel worth the rate and this one missed the mark.

We went for an anniversary get away and George gave us an upgrade to a beautiful suite overlooking the water. Then provided us with free breakfast for our stay. Perfect location could walk to multiple restaurants and to the street car that ran all the way to Ybor. Loved it here

Location is awesome! View of the water from our room was amazing. Staff was nice but the room was a little worn but to be expected for it being on the water and in the humid Florida weather. A very short walk to the restaurants on the water as well as a place to rent a boat.

I came here for my birthday and was pleased beyond measure. I love the location and the staff were all really great. The room itself was awesome with comfortable bed and fantastic view. Highly recommended.

After spending a week here for the NVRA 2023 National Convention, I am very pleased with the hotel overall. The bartender at the second floor lounge, Joe, did a wonderful job of making sure we all had a great time. Very personable with everyone and easy going. The one complaint that i have is that our room reeked of sewer the entire stay. As soon as we walked back into our room every day, the smell hit you like a wave as soon as you opened the room door. It was horrible. We did complain to the hotel management about this and she said that it was due to the sulfur in the water. But our friends staying in the room two doors down from us did not have the smell at all. The atmosphere was great, the quality of the rooms was great. Overall a good experience Have to give 4 stars because of the horrible sewer smell in our room that lasted the entire stay.

This was my first time staying here and I was just unimpressed. I had just come from the Naples Grand and was staying for just one night. The coffee maker I just couldn't figure out. It's 2023, you should have a Keurig in every room. The breakfast that I was given a coupon for, was horrible. Powdered eggs at their finest, overcooked bacon, terribly unappealing. The gentlemen at the valet were very nice and accomodating. Here's what really frustrated me. I called downstairs in the morning to ask for a late check out, I just needed an extra hour. I was told by David that it was not possible, 300 people were checking in that day. At 10 minutes before checkout I called downstairs and again David (or Dave, something like that) answered. I asked that he please send a bellman up to grap my luggage. I was told that it would be an hour before he could get someone up there. Again, because there were 300 people checking out and 300 people checking in. Well at that point I hadn't accounted for the extra hour that I wasn't given. So I take my son and all my luggage and we drag it ALL down to valet. Far more than the two of us can carry, he's 13. If you saw a 13 year old boy dragging a suitcase, bag, and water bottles flying all over the place, that was us. When we got to the valet, the gentleman clearly saw my frustration and asked why I hadn't contacted them to help us down. I explained that Dave at the front desk told me that it would take an hour to send someone up. He told me that was not true, they could have been there in 10 minutes. And here's the best part. When I checked out, I was charged a $25 destination fee. NEVER have I heard of this ridiculous charge. I was fine with a $40 valet fee but destination charge?? I would not stay here again. Lastly, my son and I went downstairs because we were told they sold snacks. One pop-tart, one chocolate bar, and one small bag of chips, $12. Oh and the hallways are dark and musty. Just not a good experience. You need to do better Westin Tampa Waterside.

I’m very disappointed that the hotel continues to recommend a pizza restaurant that has a 1 star rating. The name of the restaurant is New York Pizza express. I didn’t check the reviews of the restaurant because the hotel recommended it. After reading the reviews, I was mad at myself for not checking reviews before I ordered. (Never again) the restaurant has Horrible service! Not sure why "express" is in the name. Delivery took over an hour and a half, the pizza was COLD and the soda was hot.. The driver recommended that we use a microwave! and get some ice. Really!!!! Never again! The Westin Hotel needs to cease promoting this business! It’s a bad reflection on the hotel.

Stayed here during the bar exam. Clean and great location. They need more staff though. I called the front desk several times to ask where the microwave was that it said in “amenities” would be available for guests, and the phone rang for at least five minutes each time with no one in guest services answering because they were “busy helping others.” So if you like to bring a cooler along on trips to save money and want to microwave your food before you eat it, don’t stay here. I assumed $500/night for my room would come with someone who answers the phone but... Also, the valet line was extremely long so I asked the front desk guy if it was ok to park in the garage on my own. He said “I think it’s a little pricier but I don’t know.” Kinda feels like something the front desk guy should know? (Valet is $40/day, self park is $36/8 hours so yes, definitely a little pricier). Drink tickets only get certain drinks at the bar, which they didn’t tell me up front so I ended up paying for my drinks and not using the tickets (which is fine, whatever) and the bartender was cool and funny. Otherwise, great place and easy walk to tampa convention center. Bar takers for July 2023, we got this!

My sister and I had a great stay. Front desk was courteous and friendly. Betty in housekeeping was attentive. She went our of her way to make us comfortable. Dan and valet staff was amazing! Our room was not available when we arrived. They held our bags while we ventured out and provided amazing service when we left. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Will come back again! FYI - great views from our room.and walking distance to Starbucks, Jacksons, and American Social.

The room is nothing really the same as what we saw on the pictures. The window is very dirty and the room is old, staffs are not very friendly either. We stayed 2 night. There wasn’t any bottle water in our room. Second day before we go back to our room we confirmed with front desk. He said there should be water in our room but when we got back to the room there was none.

I’ll start off by saying everyone was very nice. We ate at their restaurant in the lobby for 3 meals and the waiters were super kind. Food was great. Everyone at valet was always super friendly as well. Unfortunately the first night there was a door being drilled into from 8-9:30 pm. It was so LOUD. I have a 4 year old son so it wasn’t ideal timing, obviously. The next day I was picking up after my son and noticed the mattress (which was horrible to sleep on), it had an awful looking stain that I can only assume was urine or blood. Had I not already slept on it the night before, I would have NEVER laid on that bed. The hotel is outdated. It wasn’t the Westin experience I was expecting at all. The only positive part of our stay was how friendly everyone on staff was. A great view of Tampa as well. Just wish a few changes would be made. Book with caution. Also, make sure to check out their “destination fee”. We were charged an ADDITIONAL $25 per PERSON/per NIGHT because it’s a tourist spot.

This Westin property is an embarrassment. The carpet in our room is worn and badly needs replacement. The linens on the bed are yellowed and don’t fit the bed properly. The safe in the room did not work and the television picture was poor and dark. The tiled entry hall of the room was sticky. The old refrigerator in the room is noisy and needed to be turned off in order to sleep. The front desk staff is directionless and lacks knowledge of the services in the hotel such as complimentary coffee in the lobby available before the restaurant opens for breakfast.

One of my favorite hotels and areas around downtown Tampa. Some of the best staff you'll find and very-very clean. This hotel will go out of their way for you. It is one of those hotel where 'you get what you pay for'; therefore, don't be shocked to pay a premium for valet parking (there is no personal parking; it's all valet by staff) and expect to pay for morning breakfast. It's not terribly expensive, but you have options in the area. I'd always recommend others to inquire at Guest Services so your not caught off guard with fee's, etc. The rooms are comfortable. The bathrooms are very accommodating (you can also use the robe, but will be charged for it (heads up)). The hotel offers two bottles of water in the room - those are included in your room -- drink up :-). I'd recommend using Uber where applicable, as the fee's will be very minimal within a 2-3 mile radius where you'll find many options. I hope this review was helpful.

There could be a lot of improvement here. The rooms are poor, and the elevator situation is a pain. But overall it was an ok stay. Room was clean. But the staff is so nice. Barbara at the front desk is so sweet and Patrick at the bar is great. The valet guys are all so nice, but seriously Westin get them a fan and some misters out there!!! They’re dying!!!
