Still open and accessible from east floribraska and 275. Outstanding food and quiet atmosphere. Great place to go to catch up on emails, a good book or fill your belly.

Stopped by ‘Kings State’- its a renovated garage ( and yes you would still think so ) so pass slowly ..Cool place to chill .. wanted to try the turkey sandwich, but, they were out. However, I inquired if it’s deli meat or the real gobble gobble and was inform it’s the gobble.. so i got the ‘515 Ruben’..loved the toasted marble Rye.. meat to cheese ratio 65/35 not to bad .. wasn’t over powered with Kraut.. thinly sliced meat and really not that salty. As a side, the Arugula salad w/ mozzarella .. the light dressing went well with the peppery taste from the arugula and tomatoes .. as a treat, I also tried the Red wine brownie ( FYI- all alcohol is cooked out 😊) however, this would pair well on its own with nice burgundy wine or cherry/plum merlot .. the essence of the wine flavor is prevalent, but, it is rich with chocolate and very moist .. open air seating inside and spacious outside seating . .. will go back again ..

Open air cafe boasting great neighborhood vibes and tasty food. We enjoyed two breakfast sammies (B.E.L.T. was our favorite), the vegan bowl (eggs were exceptional while potatoes were extremely charred) and a delectable, gooey cinnamon roll. Loved the atmosphere! Bring a sweater or jacket on chilly days since the windows are open garage style. Looking forward to returning or checking out the St. Pete location.

Really cool atmosphere here - so worth coming to check it out! Great spot to gather with friends or by yourself. They did such a great job with such a unique space. The coffee is very good as well as the food. Important to note that there is no WiFi but it is a good spot to sit down and get some work done offline. This business is struggling currently due to the road closures and delays by the city of Tampa so please now is the time to come support them !

Tremendous place to enjoy conversations, concentrate on work, or just hang out. The food in the morning is honestly tremendous, and the selection of drinks throughout the day is great. They also always have good music

Amazing experience at King State! We went for breakfast and sat at the bar. This was the best latte I’ve ever had. The staff was so engaging and happy. We both ordered sandwiches and I got a side of grits. Everything was perfection. I bought a pound of coffee to bring home and it just means the perfection continued for another three weeks! Thank you King State!

Super Cool Spot to hang out. Not just beer … coffee, wine & food. The beer is awesome… I had the hazy IPA and it was impressive. I also bought a couple 4 packs to go. Nice open seating inside and a nice patio too. Plenty of parking. Well worth the experience.

“If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. Everything that was good on the menu keeps getting removed. I know they’re rebranding but dang pick a menu. The last thing that I had that was good was the crab sandwich and every since that was removed, haven’t really had a good food from there. Hopefully they can get a consistent. Service and coffee shop vibe is good.

I’ve never quite understood the hype about this place. I’ve come here a few times in the past when it was first opened within the year. Now some time later, I decided to stop by on a Sun morning to get a feel for it’s growth. The parking situation is abysmal. For how packed it can get, there is not enough parking and there’s pot holes everywhere. Regarding the food and coffee, it wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t terrible. I felt neutral about it and nothing about it stood out to me. That’s the same reaction I had when I went years ago when it was newly opened. As I’ve gone at night in the past, I can say it is a good place for a casual date/rendevouz. I would like to see improvement with the food and parking situation.

What a fun outing with friends today!! The best grits I've ever had in my life!! Great service when we walked into order as well. I had the Turkey salad and a cold brew with the white wine blend on the side. Fantastic! Sat on the patio enjoying the mild Tampa weather today. I'd definitely go back again and check out more of the menu.

Fantastic concept with a great environment. Very welcoming place with nice staff. Really nice aesthetic, especially in the evening, and it’s the perfect late-night lounge/coffee shop setting. I really enjoy coming here to study or to have dinner with friends because of the ambience, but the food/drinks can be incredibly disappointing. They try to put their own twist on food and drink options for uniqueness, but the end result is just hit or miss. I would say I only enjoy 35% of the menu offered for lunch/dinner. (I have not had brunch here, but heard it’s great!) I’ve tried the following items: Spiced Mango beer: Okay. Flavor is a bit strange. 6/10 The Cig (coffee beverage) - 0/10 Would not recommend. Nachos - Very good! The plate was just too small so it was difficult to get all the layers. Leftovers were great too! 9/10 Charcuterie Board - Okay. Cheese selection is okay and combination is good, but not worth the price. Sourdough is amazing though! 7/10 Roast beef sandwich - Good 9/10 Vegan Garlic knots - Pretty good 8/10 Vegan pepperoni pizza - Pretty good 8/10 White pizza (pictured) - Not good. Flavor combination was weird, very dry, slightly burned. My friend and I could not finish more than one slice. 0/10 My favorite: Iced Latte with oat milk ^A safe choice but I actually love it. Overall, if I were rating this place as a late-night coffee shop, I would say 5 stars all the way. But as a restaurant, 2 stars. I would not come here just for the food. Great place to grab a coffee and sandwich, study or catch up with friends, but there’s room for improvement. Hopefully I’ll update this rating to be higher, but for now 3 stars due to the price and food. I will be back though!

For the Saturday morning i was looking to have a morning coffee and i decided to have coffee and breakfast at King State. The king state is a beautiful cafe with outside seating options which can help people to bring their pets with themselves. The menu has different options for breakfast along with coffee. After browsing through the menu i decided to order Cappuccino coffee with oat milk and granola with oat. I was given my order number and I seated on the table. The service was excellent and I got my order in 10 minutes. The coffee was hot and freshly brewed. Loved my cappuccino. The oat meal was also delicious and amazing. Loved the vibes of the cafe. One can also buy coffee from King state which is the additional advantage. Will be definitely back with my wife for breakfast.

Well with this many reviews there's no need to be spectacle, The price was fabulous the food was excellent and the service was spectacular I don't think I have seen this many smiles and politeness in half the restaurants in Tampa that I found here. The wine selection I was impressed I will definitely be back. Great Job ! There's construction going on everywhere in the city we had no problem finding parking, right off the interstate right back on or cutting through the city very convenient location. The city of Tampa needs a clean up their act !!!!!

So we stopped here for a quick breakfast before heading to Busch Gardens, and we are so glad that we did. First off, the decor is very beautiful and artistic with an industrial style. Next up, the food and drinks were amazing, the breakfast sandwich was so delicious and on top of that the handmade orange juice was so fresh and tasty as well. The staff was also very friendly, and although the prices are a little high, the quality definitely justifies it. Love this cool Tampa coffee spot!

Spacious cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with counter service. I got their breakfast plate and substituted the sourdough bread for their turmeric bread, and an iced latte. The latte was good with good balance of espresso to milk ratio. The breakfast plate was also good but nothing special. The turmeric bread is interesting but I don’t think it works.

And old gas station turned coffee and beer shop. They roast their own coffee beans and brew their beer in St Pete and so they serve both. It’s got a small but good food menu as well. If you moved down from Brooklyn then this will be your favorite spot, but even if you didn’t then you’ll still love it here. The spiced mango sour beer will replace my morning mimosas.

Stopped by for a beer on a Saturday night. Decent amount of parking and outdoor seating. The place is wild. Coffee bar, brewery, and full liquor bar. We got a couple beers and an espresso to go. The espresso tasted phenomenal. There were lots of great berry flavors. The roast wasn't over the top and really let the beans shine. I really want to try some of their other coffee options and see what they can create on the liquor side. While it's owned by Nate from the band Anberlin, don't expect any references to the band. Still well worth the visit. Super friendly staff!

Nice quaint little place, perfect for a quick coffee or a pre-prohibition style beer.. Nice staff, excellent coffee, best cheesy grits I have had.. Must try the Lawn Dart, an awesome light and crisp and fresh beer. The Lawn Dart is unlike any other beer you've probably ever had, the production beers don't come even close.. very refreshing and enjoyable..

Love the space and branding. Love the “brewery” concept serving both coffee and beer. Had a drip coffee and the breakfast sandwich. Nice sourdough. No WiFi. Bought a 12oz bag of the Decaf to try at home and a couple of cases of beer to go. 10/10

5/5 My first thought was, "I can't wait to come back," Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and prompt staff, it was a little busy at 10am, but there was almost no wait. Superb service. The food was amazing and the coffee was strong.

A brewery also serves breakfast. Have outdoor and indoor seating, both are comfortable. Drinks are good and breakfast items are fresh. A trendy place for the young families or adults.

Finally got a chance to check out King State, thanks to the construction clearing up 😅 I went to change the scenery of working from home. Very nice ambiance. I ordered a hot cappuccino and opted for vanilla sweetener—and for someone who drinks Bustelo from moms, the cappuccino was quite pleasant! Next time I’ll order a breakfast sandwich or will go for lunch 😋 I should’ve taken a better picture but I couldn’t wait for the camera 🤣

This cafe is DOPE! One of my favorite cafes I've ever been to. There is a reason they are successful. Their branding is spot on, their culture fosters hospitality and excellence, and their products are unique and carry depth to them. The idea of having a bar and coffee shop in one go is dope and I think King state did really well at accomplishing this. Come here if you want a quality cafe!

Cute outdoor/indoor Cafe experience. Super busy and jam packed but yet there was ample space and service was friendly and quick. My food looked like it was made from scratch- and tasted just as good too. Tasty and cute cappuccino as well.

As my plates empty I already said I’m looking forward to next time for our 2nd choices. First time here with 0 disappointment, (which is rare now a days, am I wrong). My lavender latte, vegan breakfast, And the non vegan breakfast across the table was 10/10

I can’t wait to leave just so that I can come back. This was the first solo outing my 2 m/o and I had and I couldn’t have hoped for better. The staff was wonderfully pleasant but my bartender, Gentry, was fabulous. They were great at suggesting beers, informed me immediately which bathroom had a changing table, and was incredibly accommodating when the kitchen was out of the entree I wanted. And all of the food was DeLicious! Happy to have found this gem of a place

I ordered the vanilla iced coffee as per other reviewer‘s recommendations and it’s delicious! The interior is fun and retro and I love that it’s located in a renovated gas station—so unique. Can’t wait to come back and try their breakfast options! :) Edit: We came back to try the biscuits and gravy and it is definitely one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. I think my boyfriend and I came here four times while we were on vacation so I definitely recommend this place, and there’s a great Flan restaurant in the neighborhood as well!

Wonderful local spot! Great vibe and friendly staff. Great local craft beer selection, along with a solid food menu. Breakfast served all day! My BLT with a fried egg was delicious! Easy to get to with parking, even with the road construction as of 1/24, easy access! Nice patio, along with great indoor space and bar.

We stopped by to get some coffee after dinner. It has a very cool and moody atmosphere inside. It did seem a bit cold, as far as service. We didn't know that we had to go to the counter to order. The servers also seem unamused. If you need a place to just sit and talk without being bothered, this is definitely the spot to come to lol Coffee was delicious.
