Stopped by yesterday for some lunch. What I received was a warm welcome, and delicious, cooked from scratch comfort food. Sampled the banana pudding and had to buy some to take home! I ordered the 1/4 fried chicken, collard greens, Mac n cheese, and bbq pork sliders. Everything tasted amazing. Always a good time and good food. Highly recommend to try it.

So glad when we googled soul food near me this restaurant came up. The food was delicious!! The prices are excellent. When I'm in the area again we will certainly stop by. The painting on the walls and the decore were simply amazing

On the Sunday we went they were short staffed so the wait was very long ( 1 hour before getting our food) even though when we got there there were only 2 other tables already there. That being said, it was our first time so I assume that is not always the case. Once we got our food though…we forgot all about the wait. The food was absolutely delicious and finger licking good! I’d definitely go back.

An excellent place for soul food in Ybor. Nice selection of entrees served with two sides and corn bread. All sides are made fresh daily from scratch. The place is decorated elegantly with great artwork. Very friendly service.

The food was good , the service from the gentleman was better. He seemed like a nice guy and was very polite. I'm a love creamy and cheesy mac and cheese so I thought it was ok but personally I like more of a creamy cheese. But overall the food was good.

Food was delicious! Charming atmosphere. Prompt friendly service and the owner, Ms Jackie was a complete sweetheart. What a gem of a place located in Ybor City.

I was a bit disappointed after visiting three times a year in addition to they ran out of the oxtails which was okay so I decided to get the baked chicken as I stood there to wait for my order I kept hearing the microwave four times and I couldn't understand it when I was the only one there Now it. could been an employee heating their food however when, I received my food it was not hot very lukewarm the chicken was not done the rice was hard the greens were bland the macaroni was watery and I can tell it was not homemade I love the atmosphere I was going there three times a year however a friend of mine got the oxtails which were delightful I will not go back anymore due to when I seen roaches as I exited. And yes I could have turned back around to return the food I said the heck with it $17 I'll just throw it away ,this is just my opinion of what I observed.

Stumbled on this place this weekend but it was a great find. The gentlemen who was seating and serving guests was a little flustered but he was very nice and handled everything great. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday at lunch but we didn't mind. We both ordered a cheeseburger and I got a side of Mac and cheese and my guest got fried okra. The sides were perfect!! The burgers were a bit over seasoned and greasy but not bad. I would definitely go back to try the chicken or chops that I saw the table by us get. Don't miss out on this place!

We went on Sunday afternoon, it Was a little busy when we got there. Once we ordered our food it took them a good 30- 45mins to brink it out. I ordered the baked chicken and yellow rice with yams and Mac n cheese. My partner got their fried chicken wings, black eye peas, Mac n cheese, and collard green. The collard greens were too salty for the both of us. But everything else was delicious! The staff was polite, but I do think they need training waiting tables.

It takes a minute to get the food but it was good, hot and fresh! I’ll take that with nice hospitality any day of the week. I ordered the smothered pork chops, collard greens, potato salad, yams and yellow rice. We arrived during peak time on a Sunday (2 PM). Make reservations ahead of time and they will hold your table.

First time visiting the restaurant. Service was on spot; food was delicious and the price was affordable. I will definitely make a return visit in the future.

Nasty as hell. Charge me 20$ for bake chicken and 3 sides Mac N cheese taste like spoil Milk yams was not done hard as a brick. I threw it out the window pigeon food. Never again. Never again

Visiting the Tampa area for the weekend from Orlando and wanted some good soul food before heading back home.. found this restaurant while googling and it was a HIT!!! I know good soul food when I see and taste it and this place was nothing short of amazing.. fresh, seasoned, customer service was excellent and I will be back! Thank you to the staff and keep doing what you do!🙏🏾💕

The atmosphete was splendid pics of Music legends on walls The music was soulful as the food... delucious. My favorites. Turkeywings and fried chicken dinners. The management and team are winderful. You have to try.... You will go back ...

It was my very first visit and it was very disappointing. Once my mother and I entered the building, we were never greeted or acknowledged. The young man that was sitting customers and serving food had an issue keeping his pants up. Customers service was a very disappointing experience. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else.

Stopped by on my lunch break. Great little restaurant with a lot of soul. I ordered the pot roast on rice with candied yams and fried okra. It tastes just like a home cooked meal... Because it is! Thanks Jackie. .... Went back for a cheeseburger. Exactly what I was craving! Thanks DD.

I was actually told to visit Al's finger licking good BBQ by who I think was Al himself while my kids and his grandkids were playing at a park. He also told me about his soul food spot (Al's Finger Licking Good Soul Food) and on our way to our airbnb we actually passed it. I ordered the 1/2 chicken (for me) and the 1/4 chicken (for my kids) with collards, mac, green beans, fries and peach cobbler. Once we got home we dug in. The chicken was not dry at all. My kids dont like chicken that much and arent huge fans of greens but their plates were CLEAN. I didn't even get to eat mine right away and it was still good. The greens were great and the Mac was delicious. The peach cobbler is still in my fridge because I took one bite and knew that it HAD to be my designated dessert for my sweet tooth before bed tonight. I can't wait to dig in. The employees who I think are all family were so sweet and took care of us. If I ever come back to YBOR city I'll be trying Al's Finger Licking Good BBQ next. P.S. the only "down side" to this place was that the food is made to order so it can take some time. But that's also a great thing if you want fresh food! If I knew that prior I would of just placed my order ahead. I now know for next time. 😊

Best Pulled Pork and Beans I've ever had at a restaurant. This place has so many great meals. Everything is created and cooked directly in front of you.

Friend picked up our food and said service was great!! Baked chicken, green beans, potato salad, and corn bread… all was so yummy 😋 1st timer….will return and definitely recommend‼️

Restaurant was highly recommended by my cousin Clarence Warren. His recommendation did not disappoint. The food was delicious. I ordered the Baked Turkey Wings lunch that included ,white rice with turkey gravy,collard greens,Mac & cheese,and corn bread. The staff members were very cordial and the dining area was inviting, even though I ordered to go for lack of time for a planned Breast Cancer Event in the city. I look forward to a return visit to this restaurant during and upcoming church event in Tampa October 28-30 2022.

I ordered the qtr rib plate with a side of baked beans and potato salad and it was amazing . It truly was. Ribs had a wonderful texture on the outside packed with flavor and tenderness on the inside & the baked beans were extremely rich in flavor .. had a great cinnamon apple flavor but not to sweet .. just right enough . The potato salad was really good as well . Overall experience was great if you like authentic southern BBQ with great hospitality this is the spot .

I ordered a veggies plate thinking if the veggies are good you can cook.. lies it was terrible tasting like the greens and greens were straight from the tin can no salt or flavor mac and cheese was old..I'm a cook and I definitely want be back

Clean modern design. Good customer service. Excellent ambiance. The fried chicken and black-eyed peas is amazing. Highly recommended to visit for a great soulful home cooked meal. The chicken was very moist and was seasoned to perfection.

The food was delectable!!!! No pictures. I feasted on fried chicken, Mac 'n cheese, candied yams and lemonade mixed with tea. The food was very good. Can't wait to go back. Hats off to the cook👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
