My husband and I came to Charley's tonight for our 1 year wedding anniversary. There are no words to describe how good the food was. Thanks to Delila our server for the night. She was absolutely amazing and very informative. Everything Delila recommended we ordered!! From appetizers all the way to dessert... That BUTTER CAKE!! Jesus take the wheel!! You won't be disappointed!

This is the steakhouse where you wine & dine on a date night, celebrate that special occasion or just go out for one of the best wood fire steaks you have ever had. There is an art in perfecting the cut of meat to just melt in your mouth with flavor, and these chefs know what they are doing. The service is top notch, and even the house salad that comes with your steak is delicious. You will not leave this place hungry at all. The well crafted cocktails are so good as well as the bourbon list. The smoked old fashioned is a must try!

Took my husband out for his birthday, 1st time here. The service was amazing. The server suggested a martini for my husband. He liked it but he’s not really a drinker so it got warm before he drank it but he didn’t mind. My margarita was really good. My steak was perfect at M.R. My husband ordered his M.W. And it came out Rare. It was replaced instantly and taken off the bill which was not needed. Apparently, this place wants to ensure “customer satisfaction”. The sides were definitely shareable. I made sure to tip half the bill since the one steak was taken off as well as the server was very attentive.

Went and tried Charleys for the first time while in Tampa and I’m blown away. Dining experience was definitely top notch. From the moment you walk in, the decor and lighting ambience is perfect IMO. Service was immediate with drinks and appetizers followed by a massive tray of steaks to choose from. I went with the bison bone in steak and it was perfect. It is obviously on the pricey side but well worth it on special occasions or even frequent if you have the cash to spend. Can’t wait for the next dining experience here.

Came with uncle and we had a great time at the bar. Amazing service and some of the best steaks in the area. I ordered the dry aged rib eye and it was well worth the price! Very marbled and the taste was blissful. Nothing short of euphoria on the palate. Sides were good and so were the apps. Drinks were generously portioned as is everything else at Charley's!

My Guus took me to Charley's steak house for my birthday celebration. We were greeted with a card on the table and both Matt & Vinny were awesome in their wishes We started with a blackberry lemonade which was amazing, as were the appetizers of bacon wrapped scallops and the calamari. They do calamari right. Crisp and tender and the marinara is to die for. I should have stopped here, because since it was my birthday they brought us out 3 amazing meat balls that you only get when celebrating. So good. We over ordered for 3 people. We got a small 8oz fillet and a 50 oz porterhouse and 3 shareable sides: bacon cheddar mash, the head of cauliflower and the broccoli and garlic. Everything was tasty, but the cauliflower is our hands down favorite. We left with a lot of left overs and that's fine, we have good food for tomorrow

Just came here for the first time and was blown away by the experience. Our server was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable and very attentive. The table side steak presentation was really helpful in deciding what to get. I had the bison steak for something different, and it was very flavorful. We had the escargot for an appetizer, and it was excellent. It was better than I’ve had at some French restaurants. The butter cake for dessert was another stand out.

What an amazing dinner! Our server was awesome and took great care of us. It was my first visit and she gave us the grand tour, brought out the meat platters, and gave us great suggestions. The food was spectacular. We got the 50 oz porterhouse and they cut it at the table, cooked perfectly with truffle butter. We had a 24oz lobster tail, unfortunately was over cooked but they took care of it. Great quality steaks and will make me come back just for that! For dessert we got the sweet butter cake and OMG it was amazing. A MUST VISIT!

A cool old Florida vibe. The smell of the wood fired grill helps to set the mood when you enter, but your attention is quickly turned to some huge slabs of beast waiting for your selection in the chiller. Awesome steaks, great sides as well. I wasn’t too crazy for the lobster Mac and cheese as it was different than I’m use to, but everything else was amazing. The chilled forks in the glass of ice to use with dessert was a nice touch as well.

It was our first time dining at Charley's and both my husband and myself were extremely impressed ! We had great service and everyone we came in contact with was very pleasant which is a great plus ! We both ordered the 24 oZ porterhouse which was delicious and we really enjoyed the salad they give you and loved the broccoli and lobster Mac and cheese apps! Honestly no complaints- we will definitely be back and would recommend to others for sure !

From the moment we entered, we knew it was going to be fantastic. Our server introduced herself and helped with menu information and a great wine choice. The manager checked in that our filet was cooked to perfection. I opted for the Wagu tenderloin and it was worth it. The broccoli and mushroom sides were huge portions and delicious too. We finished dinner with a full property tour and the various rooms and wine cellars. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! If I'm ever back in Tampa, I'll be making a reservation.

I have had the pleasure of coming here twice and neither time has disappointed. My second visit was for my GFs birthday and they are extremely attentive and thankful for this. Lisa our server was amazing! Thank you! The food here is just plain good! Must haves are the cedar plank cauliflower, don't argue just do it. The steak selection is great with different types and flavor profiles. Each time they are made perfect to your request and with amazing house flavor. Lastly the deserts, haven't had a bad one yet and have tried 4 of the 7-8 options they have. This place has a great atmosphere.

Me and my wife went to Charley's last night for my birthday. The staff was great, and gave me a few complementary bday items. Adonis was our waiter and he was fantastic. Very energetic and spunky. The Filet was one of the best steaks I've had in Tampa. We will definitely be back and hope Adonis is our waiter again!

My sister and I visited to spend Valentine’s weekend together. Parking was an absolute nightmare. It seemed like they were trying to accommodate the entire city of Tampa that night. Our reservation was at 9:15pm and we were seated around 9:25pm. I ordered a mint julep but was not impressed. Mint juleps are usually served with bourbon, but the liquor was light. I’ve even hade a homemade version with grand Marnier that was 10x better. For our appetizers we ordered crab cakes and the fried gator. The crab cakes were not fishy at all, super soft and not overpowered by breadcrumbs like some restaurants do. The fried gator was amazing on its own, but the aioli definitely did it justice! The house salad was crispy and fresh. We also ordered a side of lardons and blue cheese. The lardons were a little chewy for my liking and the blue cheese was way too powerful for me—and I do love blue cheese! I ordered the porterhouse (medium rare). The outside had a beautiful color—though I think it may have been charred a bit too much as my steak was a little too smoky for my liking. Other than that, the inside was nice, and it tasted great the next day. I was also very impressed with the cauliflower! For the most part, the food was fantastic, but the cauliflower may have been my favorite part! Our server was friendly but seemed overwhelmed and I felt a little rushed. I was surprised at how generous their portions were for fine dining. Unfortunately, I did not have room for dessert, but I regret not getting a sweet butter cake to go. I will be back!

Really one of the best steaks we've ever had. The Bone-In Kansas Strip was fantastic. Super tasty and soft, cooked to our liking medium. The broccoli was a little to soft, but also delicious. Our starters were also very delicious. tuna sashimi and spicy octopus. Only the oysters were not that amazing. One was so small, you hardly saw it... 🤣 At the end, a delicious cheese cake. a great evening with lovely server Willie. Thanks

What an excellent first time at Charley’s steakhouse. Warm welcome, friendly staff, great ambience, and delicious woody meaty smell wafting through the air. We had an incredible waiter with an absolutely delicious steak to follow. Why isn’t there a Charley’s in miami??,

The atmosphere and service of this restaurant were great, but the food was not. I had the grilled snapper. Let's just say I did send it back. The fish lacked season for sure. I added salt and pepper at the table, and it was okay. The biggest issue with the fish was that it was watery from some special sauce they put over it. I could not enjoy the skin at all, let alone the meat of it. Even when it came back, it was watery but not as much. The steak my date ordered was not well done. It was medium, and that too were sent back twice to complete the cook. I'm not going back anymore. The best thing I had was my drink, fried lobster bites, and fresh bread.

My coworkers and myself decided to try this place while we were in town for work. Had an absolutely amazing experience here. From the food to the staff it was truly a one of a kind place. I had the Wagyu Filet Mignon that was basted and served with a truffle butter au jus. Fantastic!! They also had a Wagyu Tomahawk Steak that my coworker had that was $50 off that night. All four of us had an amazing experience and will definitely recommend it to others.

We had my husband’s 40th birthday here , he is an extreme steak eater. He said his steak was the best steak he has ever eaten. We had a full course meal, started with the blue crab appetizer, then he had the 21 day dry aged ribeye, the flavor of it cannot be described. It must be experienced. Then the butter crunch cake , then the amaretto coffee. Vinny and Delilah were our servers and they were excellent. I never had an empty glass and they new when to come over and check on our experience. We absolutely will be back

Went for a nice date night. Nice old steakhouse feel. Got the ultimate surf and turf for two. Steak was great and cooked properly but the lobster we thought was dry and not very good, didn’t eat it which was unfortunate but didn’t want send it back at the time(which we should have). We definitely didn’t leave hungry. Our server was good and knowledgeable with the menu. The experience and atmosphere was nice for the occasion but not the value. We go to Fleming’s and Bern’s but this was our first time here. If we come back I think we’ll stick with the steak and skip the seafood.

This was our first time here. Went for our anniversary, and they made it such a special experience. Our server, Stephanie, was seriously amazing! Her energy, knowledge, and passion were everything! She made the experience THAT much better. We visited for the Bison steak as no one else around has it to offer. Also got the Wagyu filet, which was recommended, and we were so glad we listened. Both were cooked perfectly to our preference. The drinks were fruit infused and were perfectly sweet and strong. The salad, cheese bread, mashed potatoes, and creamed corn were flavorful and good portions. Everything was delightful. They even provided us with complimentary meatballs and ice cream for our anniversary. We will most definitely be back! They made a great impression for our first visit.

Most people here believe this is one of the two top steakhouses in the area. Based on reviews, this seems to be the fan favorite, the other one possibly more known for its history and atmosphere. So I decided on Charley's which was immediately confirmed as the right choice by the hotel bartender. Almost immediately upon arrival, I had confidence that this was going to be a great experience. From start to finish, this is without question a Top 10 Steakhouse, and a high ranking one at that. As per usual on my first visit, I go with the NY Strip. It is an 18 ounce cut with a serious char and a strong wood smoked flavor in the crust, especially on the ends. In the middle, the balance of the flavors is perfect. The sea salt baked potato (with all the works) was perfect, the firmness of the asparagus with hollandaise was perfect, and the creamed corn was the best I've ever had. I saw someone else comment on the corn so I knew to order it. I don't intend for a restaurant review to sound like it came from Homer Simpson where everything he eats is delicious, but when we are talking Top 10 Steaks, everything needs to be perfect or damn close. Charley's Steakhouse in Tampa, Florida fits that bill in every aspect from service, to atmosphere, and of course, the steaks. We were shown a platter tableside with detailed explanations of every cut they sell and explanations about the different aging processes. While I think this place is on the expensive side (even for a Top 10 Steakhouse), if you want the best, it's going to cost you. A+ for Charley's Steakhouse. Next time in the area, I will have to struggle to determine whether I return to Charley's or try the other place... I should probably go to both!

We dined with our great friends at Charley’s tonight: Their first time, our 12th or so time. Food was as great as all other times we’ve dined here. Management was present and attentive. Our server tonight was Adonis. He is the he best server in the Tampa Bay Area. He made our outstanding date night even better. We highly recommend Charley’s, one of our favorites in Tampa. Can’t wait to come back.

My date night was everything I wanted. The place have all the Vibes of a romantic restaurant. Our waiter, Adonis, was so attentive, sweet and knowledgeable. He recommended several dishes and show his excitement for each one of the ones we picked. Their meat was as delicious as it could possibly be. Never thought I would like 21 days old meat until I tried it.

We had such a great time in Charlie’s steak house with our family. We celebrated my sister in law birthday. The steak was delicious and also the appetizers we ordered. This was our first time here but we will love to go back again. Did not take much pictures of the food.

Ribeye was tender, flavorful and cooked great. A little bit of char, but not too much so as to over power the great meat flavor. Wife had the fillet, which was also great. Stephanie provided great service. If you’ve never been to the Tampa location, it’s worth the visit.

The food was fantastic (pork chop, steak, and cauliflower). The service was very good but we had a big party and it was a nightmare because they won't divide the checks. So on my birthday, we were stuck with an extra $60, which was mostly because they overcharged us for 2 extra cauliflowers which we didn't realize that night. We wrote them and they were apologetic and gave us a gift card which we appreciate but it still took away from the evening having it so confusing at the end with the bill. I won't go there again with a big party until they change that policy.

Thank you Charley's for the most memorable evening. From the valet to the water service, everything exceed expectations. Shout out to Daryl who was one one the best in hospitality we have ever had (and that is coming from two people in the industry). From fork to spoon this was a night to remember. You have life long patrons now. Hands down the best meal we have had in 2023. Wagyu tomahawk and the Caribbean lobster tail was beyond words. 🔥 And let's talk about that cedar plank cauliflower .... trust me. Get it.

We had a wonderful time at Charley’s! Was our first time here for our anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our server was Brooke and she was extremely helpful and pleasant. The house salad and cheese rolls were excellent. I got the 12 oz filet and my husband got the 24 porterhouse with added crabmeat. We got the lobster Mac and cheese to share and it was wonderful. They left a nice letter on the table for our anniversary along with providing a nice desert. Definitely recommend.

On Vacation and this restaurant was highly recommended. This restaurant didn’t let me down not one bit. For an appetizer we had the crab cakes with like a pineapple salsa…I had the Lamb Chops with cheddar mash potatoes ( which are shareable portions.) The chops had a mint sauce that had a kick amazing. My friend had the Filet Mignon. For dessert we had the Sweet Butter Cake. The service was great from the time we arrived until we left the building. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I really wanted to enjoy this dinner but honestly I was a bit disappointed. All of the food was amazing, however, the Mishima Wagyu Ribeye was not at all up to my standards. Ive had this cut at other fine dining restaurants and it basically melted in my mouth, truly amazing. But this tasted like a regular ribeye, none of the wagyu marbling came through. Very disappointing for $175 steak. The service from our waitress who I will not name was less than adequate, especially for a fine dining restaurant & we were celebrating my boyfriends birthday. At first, she was great and we saw her being very attentive with her other tables, so things seemed like they would go well, until the entree was delivered. She walked over with Chris, who ended up serving the food, she checked that all of the food was there then asked Chris to serve us & cut the steak and ran off in a hurry. While she ran off and took care of every tae but ours, Chris was very attentive and checked in with us more than our waitress. The entire time we were eating she was checking in with her other tables but she didn't come up to us again until we had been done eating for about 15 minutes. Within those 15 minutes, we had clearly been done & had all of our dirty dishes stacked, she checked on her other two tables right behind us but not once checked on us. Finally, she came and asked how the food was (presumably for the first time) and we said fine and asked for boxes. I think this is when she realized we were unhappy with her service. She tried to make it up to us and tried talking with us a bit and even gave us dessert despite us declining (we declined because we were feeling very disrespected and just wanted to leave). I do appreciate her effort, but it did not make up for the service throughout our special meal. I had booked this weeks ahead of time, if I had known this is how we would be treated, I certainly would have taken my business elsewhere and will do so in the future.

Our favorite place! Been going for a decade now. So many memories , birthdays , anniversary’s and more. Grade A service. Never a bad meal or drink! Best steak ever and wonderful dirty martinis! The filet is top line! The desserts are amazing and the sides are great! Great service! Always a treat to go! We go a minimum of a couple times a year. So worth it!
