My family and I just went to the Tampa location. The front staff ladies had attitude!! The customer service is horrible!!! The rice was hard, the Mac & cheese was dry af and I was only provided one lil sauce cup for the jerk chicken. I tried my best to finish, but I couldn’t the food was nasty!! The up charge for extra gravy, jerk sauce and the dry Mac and cheese is outrageous especially when I spent over $50 for three small plates!! Never again nothing like the one on North Hiawassee Rd in Orlando.

I've been eating here since 2020 and they have never disappointed me. I will never eat at another Jamaican restaurant, and I doubt it'll be better than here. The food is always fresh, hot, and great!! My go-to is the brown stewed chicken but I've also had the cow foot soup and oxtails.. The ladies are very kind, always smiling, and generous with the portions. I want to try the fried chicken next..

Breakfast is good. Lunch is a hit or miss. Stay away from the jerk chicken. It's hard, dry and looks like BBQ chicken. Rice was extremely dry/hard and taste like leftover rice. Lunchtime food and quality is not so good depending on what you select.

I normally order soup at least twice a week, but not anymore. I have overlooked the poor customer service for the last time. I had much respect for one of the main server's but lately her attitude and poor serving skills have gotten like the other one. I refuse to pay for sub par food and piss poor service. My parents are Jamaican, but I was born in America and many times I have seen them mistreat non Jamaican customers especially if they are women. I would always brag on the restaurant but not anymore. I'm sorry, if the owner doesn't make changes Golden Krust, will be shot to hell with those two in the front. I will never buy or tell anyone I'm connected to patronize this restaurant again. Sincerely loyal customer no more......

My mom is sick in the hospital an she wanted this place ….she can’t eat all the food so I asked for a extra plate an they charge $1 an I asked for a extra silverware they said no I paid $24 for oxtail’s an they couldn’t give me a extra plate or sliver crazy … food wasn’t even good

Went for the LUNCH SPECIAL. The darker skin lady is extremely rude and is not pleasant. I asked TWICE what it was. She said any style chicken. I asked for jerk wings. My husband ordered a soup and a patty. I looked at the receipt and saw she charged me $8.50 for my meal, and when I asked her why, she said that the special starts at $6.50. Well then why wouldn’t you have said this is what is $6.50 and so on? She also could have said ok I see I didn’t communicate that well, so here’s your $2 back…(it’s the principle not the money, and again she always has an attitude!) we get home and I’ll include a picture of the beef patty. So unacceptable. Too bad we try to support black owned but we will be going elsewhere to eat from now on.

NANA IS DI BEST. The food is awesome. My specialty is the cowfoot soup.LOVE LOVE IT❤️❤️. NANA knows exactly the pieces I want (di grizzle). But on a whole, the food is awesome.

My first time with a bad food experience and that salad mix cabbage is awful. Chicken cooked in old grease you can tell by the color and the oxtails were nasty in that awful gravy 1st time. I threw it away.

My first time visiting on 1/30/2021. Peanut Okra punch is good!!! Salt fish fritters is good!!!It was a bit greasy but still good. The gizzadas are cute and tasty. Just the right bite size. I will taste the jerk chicken and mac n cheese later and see if that is good too.(I bought it for my son really, so he will give the final verdict later). I will also try the soup later and give my final verdict. The workers are just so awesome and friendly!! It is always refreshing to have excellent customer service.

I had high hopes for this Jamaican restaurant but nah they prices are to high for buffet food that been sitting on the warmer for hours I’m dissatisfied with the salmon I ate that was 20 US dollars plus the rice and peas was dry that’s why you notice that the ladies there will ask you if you want sauce on it. The only thing I ate the tasted good was the cabbage and it’s because it was moist I’ll never go back to golden trash again I took my date there and guess how embarrassed I was to eat such distasteful and paid quality price for old buffet food never again😡🥵

The best cooked stew fish meal ever! The red snapper just fall apart when they prepare your plate & jam jam seasoning brings me right back home to 🇯🇲. Reasonable prices & nice portion of food served on every meal. Loyal customer already.

The food is excellent, But yes that dark skin women is very very very rude, As an business owner you she never show that attitude to customers. I'm not saying that we are always right but her attitude really makes me and my family not want to go back and we came all the way from Atlanta. And we spent 80.00 plus a nice tip. Please get her together. I own a business myself and I trained my employees good communication skills and good consumer skills, so that when they enter my place of business , It's peaceful, happy, honest environment. That's really important to the customers. So I'm saying this to the owner you have alottt of black ppl supporting your business, especially the one 1⃣ Nebraska Ave by the Chinese place in that place. So do better with those attitudes. BECAUSE you never know who's walking through the doors to bless you all. Keep that in mind.Ive came from. My most recent dining experience at Tampa, Florida's Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant was flavorful, and our waiter, Jessica, delivered kind and attentive service that added to our satisfaction. The dishes featuring prawns were without a doubt the highlight of our trip. I had the pleasure of tasting the Curry Shrimp, which brought me to a gourmet paradise with a taste of the Caribbean. The prawns were cooked to perfection and drenched in a flavorful and enticing curry sauce. My dining companions likewise enjoyed their prawn meals, which each demonstrated Golden Krust's dedication to providing flavorful and authentic Caribbean food. Shrimp meals created by Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant genuinely reflect the spirit of Caribbean flavours. Their menu has a wide selection.

Too spicy!! We frequent the Golden Crust restaurants in Clermont and Orlando where we always get good food. For some reason this Golden Crust has way too much hot spices in the curry goat. We threw the food out. Couldn't eat it. My husband is Jamaican, and he complained the loudest. Would like to come back, but don't want to throw food out again. Maybe your cook can get the recipe from the other Golden Crust restaurants.☹️

I used to praise Golden Krust as the best Jamaican food here in Tampa. After what I just experienced is forcing me rethink that. I waited an extra 10 minutes for fresh goat. Went to pay for it, luckily I opened the container. There was a thick black hair sitting in the fresh cooked goat that I waited extra time for. She acted like she couldn't see it. I grabbed a fork and pulled it off for her to see it and she said it was "goat hair" I said I didn't want it and she looked at me like I said something wrong. I walked out and I'm not sure when I'll be back

Make sure to go early they sometimes run of of popular dishes. The portion is more than enough to share amongst 2 people for the price of one. The customer service is good too.

Service sucked, and the food definitely isn't worth the price. A plate of brown rice, cabbage, 3 piece of plantains,& a strong back drick,$1733. Meh rass,outrageous

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF THE GOLDEN KRUST FRANCHISE. I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE THAT DOES NOT LIKE SPICY HOT FOOD TO PATRONIZE THIS PLACE. THEY HAVE THE POOREST GRADE OF OXTAILS AND THE MOST EXPENSIVE PRICES FOR LUNCH. THE VEGGIE PLATE WAS OVER PRICED AND UNDER SERVED. IT WAS NOT FIT TO GIVE TO A HOMELESS PERSON. THEY ARE NOT FIT TO RUN A RESTAURANT WITH THIS LEVEL OF INTEGRITY.

This is hands down the best Golden Krust I’ve been to. The staff especially (Nana) gives exceptional customer service. The curry goat is consistently on point. Big up the chef!

The food is good and flavorful, but the fruit drinks they sell are not it. I ordered a soursop lime drink and it tasted spoiled.

Was looking for something to eat while waiting overnight to get loaded. Found this place simply by accident on our way somewhere else to get food. The women( momma's) was so pleasant and friendly. The food was very very very good. I have had jerk chicken in several places but this is my all time best place to get jerk chicken. Thank y'all so much for feeding my mind as well as my spirit. My soul is humming from the great and awesome but also authentic Jamaican cuisine.

Super slow service.. nice people sure… but I stood in line behind 4 people for 20 minutes for some beef pattie’s for 2 people to come in after me and get serviced before me… super aggravating…

The ginger wine awesome maybe because it was already bottled because the oxtail hard as rocks so tuff couldn't chew it. The veggie pattie smelled like the counter with chemicals like a sponge smell.

Whenever I’m in town, this is where I always stop, and their food never disappoints me. Great service and clean environment. Will give 10 star ⭐️ if I could. Kisses to the team.

The food is excellent! The stew chicken is the best I've had for a Jamaican restaurant. I just wish they would do something about the tiny bones in their meat. It's hard to really enjoy your food when you're trying not to swallow a bone. I believe I already did swallow a bone once.

Food is always good! I’m a regular and I’m always satisfied with my order! They get a little busy but be patient the food is worth the wait
