This place is a nightmare, when ever I go to see my Mother all the staff seemed nice and come in to check on her periodically, but my mother has been left to sit in her urine and feces without changing her diapers for hours on end, she developed a UTI and bedsores, she fell off her bed twice and they noticed her laying on the floor the next morning, the food is horrible as she is always hungry as notice when I bring her food, she was hospitalized because she could not defecate due to her afraid that they don’t change her enough, the floor where she is on all the patients have covid 19 due to a employee who attended all the patients on that floor and infected them all, when we call a staff to change her diapers they seem as if it’s a burden to them and clearly you can detect their facial expressions that they don’t like doing this, my mother is 96 yrs old and the reason she is there is due to a fall she had and broke her hip, been calling several times and the line is busy, I have been trying to get her out of their and into a more reliable care center but the social workers are so rude on the first floor and when you ask them anything they seem as if your bothering them, I don’t know how this place won. 4 star , it’s horrible.

my sister stayed in this facility after her surgery from a broken ankle, they ignore her most of the time which lead to a Horrible diaper rash. Also, she was supposed to get therapy on her leg or range of motion but was not done. therefore,She got an infection which no one noticed until it turn into gangrene and she lost her leg.

Only positive experience was working with the admission ladies, But I will NEVER put my parents in there again and would NEVER recommend it to no one. The building is old and filthy. My parents room was never mopped. You can hear your shoes sticking to the floor probably from Urine because that’s what my parents room smelled like constantly. The nurses would never change or bathe them. They were rude and lazy. Most of them at the nurses stations were on their personal phones and paid no attention to the patients. I highly suggest you visit before making that move for your loved one so you can see for your own eyes.

Worse place for your love one. My mom was calling the nurses every time that she needs help and they appear 3 hours later. The food was terrible, we was bringing the food to my mom 3 and 4 times a week. When you call to talk with the nurses they put you on hold for more than 15 minutes. Overall definitely I don’t recommend this place at all.

My mother was in St Josephs hospital and barely survived sepsis from a UTI. Had surgery on her kidneys. Went to this facility and what a mess. They didn't change my mother's adult diapers. So the very thing that nearly killed her, soaking in urine, they didn't seem to care. Changed her once in 20 hours. She could not walk. She was there to rehabilitated. But they didn't tell her anything about the plans, the process, nothing. Put her in a room with no air in Florida - over a hundred degrees. It's nearly noon and no food! My mom is begging me to come get her. She says they are rude and don't care one bit about her. I hope she is wrong.

What a SHAME call that place a "rehabilitation". After my mom had a stroke was transferred from the St. Joseph Hospital to that place, my first visit right after she was transferred, was not pleasant at all, the entry of the place was dirty, nobody was on the reception, heading to her room, she was with her head hanging out of the bed, secondo visit her feeding tube was licking and my mom Ensure was all over the floor, since the stroke left her with a twisted mouth and tongue, unable to chew or swallow, that was her only way to be fed. Short time after they called me, my mom was unresponsive, her blood pressure and sugar levels, over the roof. As soon I get to the hospital, the doctor asked me what happened to my mom, she was fine at the time she was transferred and came back few days after with a SEVERE signs of dehydration, serum sodium levels very elevated. She went into a hypovolemic shock, this is one of the most serious, and sometimes life-threatening, complications of dehydration. It occurs when low blood volume causes a drop in blood pressure and a drop in the amount of oxygen in your body. Her blood oxygen saturation levels went down around 88%, which is considered dangerous. After that, her body did not respond to the treatments and my mom passed away two weeks later. Respectfully, I do not believe that the staff of this center is capable of providing the proper medical attention to patients depending on their physical, mental disabilities or medical history. Our elderly generation deserves dignified and responsible treatment from our doctors and nurses. If our family treated my mom with respect, love, dedication and devotion, I expect no less from others. Terrible experience and very bad memories of this center. One star because I can't comment without first rate from 1 to 5, but this place doesn't even deserve a star, in my opinion and personal experience.

BEWARE...thank goodness my Mom is a retired nurse and was able to make sure my father received the proper care. We were fortunate that we came across of a couple of individuals that actually care about patient care however the time my Dad had those few folks assigned to him was limited. The staff is overworked and I'm sure underpaid. We lost my Dad on Dec 11th unfortunately it took almost two months to receive a refund from their "corporate office" and the amount figured out by their office person Tatiana was NOT was sent to my Mom. Be prepared to be ripped off in more ways than one. Initially we chose this facility because of the proximity to the hospital of our choice... St Joseph's, if you are not able to see your loved one daily i would not recommend choosing this facility. ALSO the food is deplorable - the only time the food was hot and of good quality is when they were going through state inspection.

This place is a DUMP!!! My Mom was discharged to this place in the evening, they only had 1 available bed and when we got her there we found out that the previous occupant had passed away within the hour and they didn't even clean or sanitize the room prior to my Mom's arrival because the "cleaning staff" had left for the evening. Medical waste, fast food trash and the previous occupants personal effects were all over the room and we were told that nothing could be done until the following morning. Terrible place ... Luckily we found a way to get my Mom out within the hour.

BEWARE only thing nice about this facility is the admission ladies Donna and Kassandra. Also that you can be a compassion caregiver which allows you to go into the facility and take care of your loved one! So if you have no other choice that’s nice. Otherwise this place is depressing walls are blah no decorations to make it feel homey and it’s dirty! I snatched my mom out the day I was able to go in and witness the mess and how they treat the patients. Some nurses were better than others which is normal but overall they were not very attentive. One could barely communicate bc of her language. My mom could go to the bathroom on her own with assistance but she’d have to ring button multiple times and wait forever. 😡 They figured she had a diaper on so they didn’t care! Only reason I put her in there was for the rehab but gym was limited due to Covid so she wasn’t getting much of that either, nothing more than what I could do at home. One male nurse had a ton of beard hair sticking out of his mask 🤢 Others would speak in Spanish to each other and ignore you when you were asking for help. Nurses desk would ignore you as well when asking for something, it was ridiculous! PLEASE be sure to check out any facility you put your loved one in an advocate for them! It’s a SAD world out there!

Rooms are moldy, AC often don't work and leaks frequently to the point it destroys anything 3 ft from it. Roaches are a HUGE problem. As well as staffing, they only have 2-4 cnas working usually with 58 people to take care of. This place should be investigated and shut down. Some cnas are extremely friendly but others are extremely not.

A woman I know worked here as a CNA. The pay is ridiculously low, moreover they take advantage of workers and sneakily remove hours. People quit the job mid-shift and the management just reassigns the hours to the few staff left. Patients cry for a nurse assistant and they have to wait hours due to understaffing and underpayment.

I was admitted about a month ago. All I can say is wonderful things about this place. They received me with open arms. My first impression very clean and organized facility. As well as Very nice attentive staffs in all departments, very accommodating to my needs and concern. The administrator to the facility came and gave me haircut since we can not have visitors in the building. Maintenance help set up my TV, kitchen manager met up with me and accommodated my meal preference. Therapy has been great and very patience an understanding with me and help me get through my therapy and cheer me on. Nursing staff very nice. Social services came to check on me to make sure I am ok and comfortable. Housekeeping staff continuously come in to my room to clean and disinfectant all areas. Over all I have to say this building by far is amazing and I am grateful to be able to be here and get my therapy so I can soon be home.

Really great placed that has changed over the years. With new management and activities that all residents look forward to. From the famous John Jackson live show to bingo and many more activities. Recently there was a Senior Prom that everyone enjoyed! Patients had huge smiles and really enjoyed every minute of it. Really great and knowledgeable staff to talk to about all your concerns! Rooms are very spacious so patients can bring many items from home to feel at home! Therapy staff are all very friendly and know what they are doing!

I have not been able to see my husband since July when he was admitted to the hospital then transfer to this facility. Due to Covid there has not been any visits allowed but today the building made arrangement for me to see my husband for the first time since July. I was beyond impressed how the process went. I was first screened as I walk in then I had to attend a training provided by the building then I was given full ppe to then be able to go see him. I was so impressed of how the building look very clean and friendly staff. My husband is beyond well taken care for . I appreciate so much this building for taking care of my love one in every way .my family and I our beyond blessed for this building and staff.

My aunt has been staying at this facility for a couple of months and I am completely amazed of the staff and how they take care of not only her but us the family. Have visit several nursing home in the past and was always a nightmare. But I have to give rehab and healthcare center a 5 star. You walk in building always looks and smells great. There is always someone there to greet you. Nursing staff very attentive, no complaints on their meals and housekeeping do a great job on keeping floors clean and my aunts room clean and smelling good. I would definitely recommend this facility

My mother had a stroke and ended up at this Rehab. At first, I was very unsure. They went above and beyond to help my mom and me get adjusted. The staff is so professional and the nurses are very caring. After mom left (4 mos later) she cried missing the caregivers, nurses and Doctors that were so sweet and loving to her at this rehab. All this during Covid19 Quarantine. No one was allowed to visit. The only negative: no phones in the rooms.

I really love having my loved one at this building. I’ve toured other buildings in the area and fell in love with Rehabilitation and Healthcare of Tampa. The kindness and professionalism from the staff really drew me to it. My loved one has made such progress its unbelievable. The staff all really do care and they’re nothing but helpful. From the nurses to the aids and the therapy department is outstanding. Even the front office staff is so amazing. We won’t go anywhere else EVER. Thank you Rehabilitation and Healthcare of Tampa for giving me peace of mind.

With everything going and having to put my love one in a nursing home I was scared. But we definitely made the right decision with this place. My uncle is very happy and tells me staff is great. Administration staff is very informative keeping me in the loop of what going on and update from the building. From I face time he looks good and happy for the most part and from what he tells me place is clean and organized and food is good. So thank you to this place for caring for my love one.
